- Gloom of Kilforth is one of the top solo adventure games. This is a review of it. What else do you want me to say? Oh, it's hard to take in the game state of the gloom at a glance. It would be nice if it were more obvious. I don't mention that but I do mention a lot of other things.
I love the story this game generates EVERY time.
Whether it's a saga of triumph or tragedy, I always sit back at the end of a game and wish I had written out the story that emerges in my imagination between the dice rolls and other mechanisms.
Agreed. The theme drenches every aspect of this game
As the market becomes more inundated with massive campaign games, it's nice to come back to a game like this where the story develops in your own head.

I can highly recomend a professional made expansion series made for GoK by Tor Gjerde including 4 complete new ancients, 4 sagas, 20+ new encounters, 20+ new skills and a lot more.
Can you let us know how that house rule of buying a keyword works out? Sounds like it might be a nice balancing effect if the price is set right.
Yeah, I think Kilforth has a few lists it's lined up to be on, and I'll mention it then.

I suppose you'd like Talisman then and yes Gloom, Shadows and Call of Kilforth are great.

World of Kilforth launched today. With a quick glance, it looks to be all reprints, but I'm figuring I might grab a couple things. Veilwraith is pretty hard to get.
I have the digital Talisman. I need to give it a try. It's crazy how many times a day I say that.
