- Oliver Mutukudzi with a song called Kupokana - a warning to be careful about the words that come out of your mouth.
As the BBC's Connected Africa Day focuses on Africa's new broadband connectivity, Network Africa sessions step in to provide you with the opportunity to really test the new technology by watching the great Zimbabwean singer and guitarist, Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi performing two tracks live in our Bush House studios.
There is a connection in bantuish Languages, look ...
1. Muromo - Zimbambwe
2. Muromo/Kanua - Kikuyu
3. Mdomo - Kiswahili
4. Monoko - Lingala(Congo).
Sounds like one common language .
Muromo = Mouth, no need of translation.
From Thika, Kiambu, Kenya
In Sepedi language South Africa is molomo
Legend. It is a waste of time to compare him to anyone. He is unique. His music's DNA tugs the strings of ones heart. I salute you.

Every time I listen to Tuku, my heart cries. I was privileged to watch his last show in Capetown before he passed on.
This man sings to my soul. I don't understand the words but I'm listening keenly.
Unfortunately this man is no more bro. He passed on today 23 January 2019. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Rest in peace , Tuku !!!

Tuku had a lot to say, that’s why he wrote so many songs. He was a treasure not only to Zimbabwe and Africa but to the whole world.
His music lives on.

Food for the soul. Some people were sent by God to take care of people's soul, Tuku is one of these people. Tuku is feeding tons of souls. God's gift to the world.

Zimbabwean music legend. We love him. Mhsrip.
Absolutely enchanting!
amazing
can someone translate the song to us, pliz.
Kupokana is a conflict. He is singing about the need to control one’s words coming out of the mouth.
I really need a translation
mouths are for controlling, words needs care, some things they day can be destructive
in those lines,thats the theme
I love tuku
Legends don't die
Rest in peace daddy till we meet again..matirwadzisa
Очень позитивный чувак Оливер...
I love Tuku.......real music at its best
Ndipo Samanyangu👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
No offense, but please dont compare Tuku to R kelly. If you want to compare him to a westerner, it will be the likes of; Nate King Cole, Marvin Gale, Cole Train, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Art Blakely and Thelonious Monk
You can't compare this guy to western guys this guy sings life, a song that will work today , tommorw, yesterday and in the future. It depends with your age to understand the meaning of the lyrics.
Love this song!
Solo performance redefined.
This is extremely good.
