The respect/table imagie phil has built is ridiculous
What is this short deck? How can he win on AA
Short deck is only 36 cards, there are no 2-5, so the 6 is the lowest card, so he had 9,8,7,6 and the Ace for the 5 card straight, it's just like having ace, 2,3,4,5 in holdem
@@coreyparsons151Interesting
@@coreyparsons151 Thank you for clarifying this
I was wondering the exact same thing. I guess it’s just a 4 card straight
Haha I paused and looked for this comment to make sure I wasn't crazy
I love how Ivey didn't drop a single smile after winning. lol
It's just work at this point lol
Phil I love you
Why Phil win if the oponent have 3Qs in min 6:00?
I’m thinkin the same exact thing, cards not for me no more
It’s short deck
@@goldygamingyt3866?
Short deck... there's no 2-5 in the deck so..A 6789 means straight..just like A 2345
Thanks
I thought I was high on the AA over QQ hand until I realized it’s a different rule set
Well, the answer to the "why does short deck mean AA makes a straight combined with 6-7-8-9" question was answered, but another one hasn't: are they not allowed to exchange piles of smaller chips for fewer bigger ones? Do they just not want to because it's harder to count total chips and/or is intimidating in some way?
3 Malaysians in the final table 🎉🇲🇾
How is A,6,7,8,9 a straight?
it's short deck poker. Just like A2345 is a straight in normal NLHE.
Just found the answer, didn't realize this was a Short Deck game.
I think short deck
Why post this now? It was from 2022!???
Why not? 😀 It's a poker highlights video. It doesn't go bad after a month or something 😅
10:00 wtf is in that guys nose
I’d also like to know this. Never seen it before
Guys he wo the AA cause its a shot deck game so A is basically a 5
Button: 50K. Inflation really kicks in xD
Short deck poker
Straight
A 6 7 8 9
You wasn't the only one confused me too 🤨
How did he win with a 4 card strait when he had AA
I need the answer too !!!!!
They're playn 'Short Deck Poker'
I hate when you don’t tell all the payouts 🤨
I was just going to ask the same 3 x QQQ beats AA
He was lucky
do you not know what "runs like a god" means?
How tf are they saying he had a straight with 6 7 8 9 ?
This is SHORT deck.. in normal Holdem A2345 is a straight, it counts as the bottom. In short deck the deck starts at 6, so A still plays as the bottom of the straight, A6789.
Phil just got lucky more than skill on this one
so the title makes perfect sense then? or do you not know what it means to run well in poker?
The dude pullong bis phone all the time is triggering me
Hey wats that white thing hangin out of that dudes nose
like a balm/freshener to clear out sinuses, asian thing
Ivey is insanely lucky lol, keeps getting saved on turn and river
i THAUGHT IVY HAS AA? AND THE OTHER PLAYER FLOPPED SET OF QQ? THE BOARD IS 98Q67, WHY IVY WON? NO WAY...
It's short deck poker where 2 3 4 numbered cards won't be present and A valued as 5 which forms straight A6789
Dylan is really annoying, why you let annoying people to comment?
Wtf is this game?
I think it’s go fish
If you only need 4 to a straight, how did the asian guy lose when he had J,Q,K,A?
You still need 5 to a straight. the same rules apply as in nlhe, with the exception of a flush beating a full house.
In short deck the A can act as a 5, so it was actually 5,6,7,8,9
@@AsTheSparrow83 why a 5?
Because the 5 is removed, so to make sure there is still a chance for the A to be used in a wheel type straight I guess
5:56 guys. how is this a straight?
Short deck... A-6
Ivey has more luck than sense.
Seems like he got every card he needed lol
