Hands that haven’t shown up yet that I feel I know are gonna be in the top 10: - Scotty Nguyen ‘you call and it’s gonna be all over baby!’ - Duhamel/Affleck - Moneymaker bluff on Farha - Ungar wins in 1997 - Doyle wins with 10-2
Having the Moneymaker/Ivey hand anywhere other than 1 is absurd. That hand literally changed the course of poker history forever and kept who many consider the GOAT from likely going on to win the Main Event.
@@Kanders190 They couldnt make the entire top 10 Moneymaker's most crucial hands just because of the poker boom that was ignited, and the bluff was always the more talked about
@@jeradballard7967 Moneymaker isn’t there to make the bluff without that Ivey hand that’s why I rank the Ivey hand higher. Also, not just because of it propelling Moneymaker to the title but of who it kept from likely winning. I know there’s obviously no guarantee, but I think most would agree that Ivey picking up a double up there more than likely propels him to the title (at least he would be the odds on favorite). And right now the Main Event bracelet is the only thing missing from Phil Ivey’s accomplishments
He dropped an f-bomb. This was during a 2-3 year span where that was an automatic 10 minute penalty. One of the dumbest rules they ever tried to institute and it didn't last long. I remember Matusow getting nearly an hour long penalty one day 1 that year after a tirade.
If Moneymaker doesn't hit that ACE on the river... This entire YT channel NEVER EXISTS. And over half of us in this comment section never play a hand in our lives. Just think about that. Ivey would win the main, and it would just be another year. Honestly that hand should be #1 just for the implications it had on the entire game.
Id throw up if I had either of those hands in that situation. Thats a bad beat jackpot in every cardroom that runs one! The guy who had the royal I doubt even made the money!
The moneymaker Ivey hand was the most history changing hand, imo, moneymaker loses, the game doesn’t blow up from the moneymaker effect, history of the game could be completely different….🌎✌️
"Queen-10, honey" has to be the most iconic meltdown of all time, at the WSOP at least. Entire history of poker changes if Moneymaker doesn't catch that Ace against Ivey. My #1 and #2 have to be the Moneymaker bluff on Farha and the Affleck-Duhamel hand, the latter still hurts to watch -- you can just see his soul leaving his body.
Mike was absolutely right. In a tournament like this all of the players know etiquette, along side the fact these 2 don’t like eachother. Yeh sheik was mad but his response messes with the action. The players know some big cards are out or something that hit the board and thus less outs or less chance the 3rd guy connected as well
I don't get why #15 is so high. Dude hits on the flop and improves his pocket pair over his opponents, they play it out in a natural way, guy with pocket 10s feels like they are best opponent is unlikely to have a J, he loses.....
lol, Matusow flips out at Sheikan for talking about his hand with the hand still in progress and then waves "bye bye" to the crowd with players left to act when Sheikan moves all-in.
Hand #11 is historic, but it's not possible without Moneymaker getting away with a bluff earlier in the showdown. That's the had he talks to him about after the final hand. Top 10 awaits.
I don’t think a lot of people understand the moneymaker effect. Online guys would get it all in 200bb deep with AJ, never fold top pair. It was beautiful
Moneymaker winning the WSOP Main Event should be in the Top 10. Not necessarily Number One, or even top 3. But his win literally changed the WSOP & poker as we know it.
No. 19 is an ELITE job of leveling by Seiver. However, without context of time passed due to editing nor DNegs stack depth, calling clock in that situation while not being part of the action seems slightly messed up with a guy making a decision for 2/3 of his chips that deep in the tourney. To be clear, I don’t think Daniel was being consciously malicious. It’s just a huge decision in a tournament that costs a fortune to enter with potential generational wealth up top. Am I wrong?
When folks say “the best hand won”….cant stand that. That’s like sayin “the best team should always win”…& they don’t… How’s the sayin go?!? “Wasn’t in the cards”….🤷🏾♂️ Dayum I love this game…
That first call by the guy in charge was ridiculous. I hate Mike but he’s 100 percent right. Even the commentators said it. So he told the guy to shut the f up, wow is he really that weak of a man that it hurt his feelings or did he know he shouldn’t have done what he did.
#20 How does two barely above average players, both needing double doses of Midol, qualify as a top 20 hand? These vids are garbage. Criminal that #14 isn't higher: they even had Action Dan sitting there.
That dealer smiling and telling Helmuth that he just sat down is hilarious.
Quad Aces vs Royal Flush is Bond movie hand.
Imagine if it wasn’t on video, trying to get anyone to believe it. “So yeah, Ray Romano is there, and I have pocket aces…”
A hand that you don't see everyday.
@@sambarbasa1643 A hand that you've never seen.
Scott Seiver telling the guy "you can't fold, I would think less of you", was genius reverse psychology.
I don't think it was psychology. He looked disgusted at the guy after he showed his aces.

Not big enough pros to be that high

HONEY!
"I just sat down" LOL killed me
"he's some online guy" lol
It was actually a meme, a quote of Vanessa Rousso
RF over quads odds is 1 in 2.7 billion. BUT the odds of it being televised at this level is probably 1 in 100 trillion
The odds of it showing up in a bond movie is two to one
It was redone for TV, they missed it the first time.
And the odds of doing all that in front of Ray Romano......
And then add in the odds of Manny from Ice Age being at the table. 1 in 100 quintillion
#12 should be the number one!
Pretty low stakes though it was an early round and neither player made it far in that tournament
It was my guess for #1
@@JohnnyV123same!
Should be but not because its not Ivey or Hellmuth
You would call this hand fake if you see it in a movie 🤣🤣🤣
Mikes response “no im just gunna fold” while absolutely really laughing is a thing of gold

Why is he talking about everyone’s clothes so much 😂
Everyone talks about royal flush guy, no one talks about Quad aces guy. Salute to a fallen soldier
#12 Losing with Quad Aces to a runner runner Royal Flush is the absolute sickest.

That’s a great guess!
my pick: "you call, it's gonna be all over, baby!"
"I know you had a set... puddin"" - HHHHHAAAAHAHAHAAa
Adrian Attenborough's 20 minute tank fold with bottom pair will be number 1
This better be the Top 10 of Top 10's lots of great hands in this set
I'd never seen Chan's slow play after flopping a straight. That was great!
Remember when the turn and river were 4th and 5th street?
This scream will be always in my mind from money maker... I play poker for 15 years and I love it... He open the door for dreamers like me 😂❤
I'm guessing the AA vs AA in the 2014 One Drop will be in the top 10.
#19 is my personal #1, it’s flawless in so many ways
Crazy Dnegs called Aces while holding an Ace blocker. Unreal that fact he's so sure of it
#16....."Johnny F*ckin Chan" part from Rounders 😂
#1 should be royal flush beating quad Aces. That's a hand that you could make a movie 🎬 about.
Dont know why everyone hated/es on MoneyMaker for the AQ hand, he had the best hand on the flop and beat a fair portion of Ivey’s value shoves.
I figured Moneymaker's winning hand would've been #1. It'll be interesting to see the top ten.
Yep either that or his bluff vs Farha heads up
Jake from State Farm winning the World Series in #11 was really memorable.

Number 14 should be number 1. If that ace doesnt hit the river. Phil Ivey wins the main event and there is no poker boom.
