今日は、早いうちから予約が取れたので七夕の上野のゴリラたちにあってきました。
かわいいモモカたちを見てると、やはり絶対に残さなければならないと思います。

I thoroughly enjoyed this video very much. Riki and Momoka are so cute! 😍 I often wonder if Haoko would remember and recognize his brother Shabani (I am by no means saying put the two silverbacks together)...I just wondered. At any rate there is SUCH a stark contrast difference in their personalities that it's hard to believe they're brothers. 🤔

ハオコお父さんは家族の近くに居たがるタイプのようにみえます。しっかり家族を守ろうと頑張る姿が素敵ですね。野生ではないので、外敵を知らないでしょうから、家族が仲良くしてるか見ているのかもしれませんね。
やんちゃな子供が3人もいますからね。ハオコは、モモコが大好きみたいだし。モモコってシルバーバックにもてるんですよね。
ゴリラの気持ちテロップ？とてもおもしろいし、よくわかります。私みたいな素人はハオコは分かっても、他の子は識別しにくい。関係性も、このテロップがあると、よくわかります。また、こういうのがいいな。

野生ゴリラのドキュメンタリー映画ですが、3歳の子ゴリラが他のゴリラに襲われて片腕を失ってしまったんですが、
その場にいた研究者は全員子ゴリラは命を落とすだろうと思ったそうです。
でも、その群のシルバーバックは子供を見捨てませんでした。子ゴリラは3年後元気な姿を見せてくれます。
普通の動物は、野生で生きていくため見捨てざるを得ません。ゴリラの偉大さを感じました。

父はシャバーニよりハオコに似てますね。2018年に亡くなっています。

コモモやモモカ、リキはハオコを父親だと認識しているのですか？ハオコは逆に自分が父親だという意識はありますか？
オランウータンは、自分の子どもを見ることもないですから（動物園では見れることがありますが）全く父親との認識は皆無でしょう。
チンパンジーは、多数のオスと交尾をするので誰が父親か知りません。
ゴリラは、基本的に交尾が出来るのは父親のシルバーバックだけなので理解しているのではないかと思います。
ハオコは、モモコとトトとは雄雌の関係ですが、子供は全くメスと認識していません。リキは男の子ですが、やはり子供と思っていると思います。
ただ人間が考える父親の意味と同じかは、わかりませんが。

When feeding the animals, the Ueno Zoo does not directly contact them. This is because it is not good to dominate animals with food. In "All About Gorillas," Ueno criticizes Kyoto's feeding practices. It is just the breeding policy of each zoo. Kyoto also doesn't and can't hand out all the food.
Kyoto has a high grid ceiling where they scatter food and the gorillas have to climb up and swing across the ceiling to get it. This is good exercise for them which they need, especially the larger gorillas. Ueno does not have a very good exercise/climbing room. Higashiyama has the best.
