- This is a Secret Turtle Island hidden of the coast of Zamboanga Del Sur...
Most people will associate "Turtle Island" with Apo Island near Dumaguete. But this place in Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur is raw, local and incredibly beautiful. We had no connections and no support to get here. One of our friends in Pagadian City told us about it, so we all adventured together to the Municipal Hall in Pitogo, got some information, signed in for permission and then adventured to find it...
IT WAS AMAZING!
This place was so raw and beautiful...
CHECK IT OUT! I can't describe it. And at the very end when we were leaving... Turtles came out to play! I was so overwhelmed and we didn't want to disturb the turtles (we had to boat through their pack) so we only took a few quick shots and then let them be :)

Everyone is afraid of going to the mindanao kulas even our fellow filipino,,, while a canadian like you is living your life as a true filipino.., you are just amazing,.. they will never experience the beauty of this country like you ever did..., you are truly becoming a filipino kulas we are proud of you,,,...:) i hope and pray that our government can resolve security issues in our country...

So beautiful! It's perfect island. The turtles are so amazing animals, I remember before 2 years we saw one while canoeing in Palawan. It was smaller than this one but I was so amazed by it's beauty, I will never forget that moment 😀 It's really huge difference to see wild animals free in it's environment compare to the ones hold in captivity.
It is such a great experience to witness free moving animals for sure!

Kyle Jennermann i do wonder how far youd go.. have u been to malamawi in basilan? there are a lot of islands way down south that is beyond imagination. also try looking for the mango as big as a coconut and other tropical fruits and foods down south.
i agree with you many places in Mindanao are safe. My uncle's family lived in Cagayan de Oro many years ago and we were fine. Unfortunately, the news media tends to overblown the negative side of the story that is scaring tourists from traveling to the region. Keep us entertain and keep vlogging. Thanks.

mindanao is peaceful, it's just that what's commonly shown by the media is the bad side. but once you visit the place, you'll realize that what's in the news is only a small portion of the truth.
every place has it's good and bad side. let's not only focus on the bad things, let's also look into the good side.

I'm from Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur. That island was called "Pulo" and "Panikian Island" before. But with the help of modern technology it was now very famous. I almost visited that island every month! you just need to travel in a boat for almost 2 hours, its very wonderful. And wee can see that island by looking at our window! I'm so proud...
