Yes, after spending time exploring Ilocos Norte, we met up with my legendary Filipino friend Kumar and headed up to the northern tip of the Philippines! Welcome to Batanes! The last time I was here it was an emotional goodbye to my scooter... and now, it is a happy hello with my parents and their Canadian friends!
In this video you will see us exploring different areas of Batanes riding the local tricycles. The stone church, the rolling hills, the amazing local dress... this was an amazing day exploring the most northern island Province in the Philippines!

So great Kumar was able to join us for this adventure. This was such a magical first day in Batanes. Everything was perfect! I am so happy we decided to fly all the way up north!
In case you are wondering... We used "Batanes Travel and Tours" (they were amazing), and stayed in Basco at "Tawsen's Place Inn" (staff and location are amazing).
Expect a few more Batanes videos.

Just been there but wasn’t able to fly my Mavic 2 pro in Whole of Basco because of no fly zone. Care to share your secret how you were able to fly yours? By the way, paid the permit to fly drone fee there for 5K pesos.

i fell in love with an Ivatan from Batanes in 2003, Emy sadly passed away last week, I wanted to live in Batanes but it was never my destiny. The stars in Batanes shine so bright and the people are lovely.
Batanes group of islands is really unbelievable & wonderful place. There is zero crime in Batanes. Living in Batanes is like living in another planet. The People are respectful, humble , industrious & Kind. You will not believe at first that Batanes is still part of the Philippines. Thanks Kyle (Kulas) for promoting tourism in Batanes. Good video Kulas. I'm happy to see your parents had such a nice time there. I'm probably around their age but more likely older. You're from the Vancouver area right? My wife and I will be moving from just west of Toronto to Vancouver this summer (Nice motorcycle ride for me across country) and by probably the end of October will be heading back to the Philippines for the turn over of our little condo (San Fernando, Pampanga) at the end of the year. Busy but exciting times ahead!!

Kyle or " Kulas," It is so good to know that your Canadian parents decided to tour our nation,country and state the Philippines ( The " Pearl of the Orient," The " Paris of Asia" specially during the Spanish times and American rule,occupation and period and It's More,More and More Fun in the Philippines!!!) specially one of our country's tourist destinations called the scenic,famous and legendary Batanes region which is located in the very,very and very north tip of our main island of Luzon.And Batanes islands are not too far from the nation and country called Taiwan.And enjoy your visit there!!!
I miss Batanes!!! It is one of the most memorable travel I had. Everyone there is so nice and friendly. The Nature is so breathtaking. I can't compare to any place I've been in PH before If I have a chance I'd really want go back. 💗
