I would do this slightly differently! Season before, 4/6 hours. Seal as per the Hot Plate. Finish on wood coals, smoke with fresh herbs.

It's about ten bucks a month to go ad free. I do resent giving Google the money but still, I watch many hours of TH-cam content each month. I also canceled my ridiculously expensive cable TV subscription which saved money anyway. I've found the ten bucks to be well worth it...just a friendly suggestion. 👍

Looks definitely good! However there is not much fantasy or variation in the way it's cooked (if comparing to other videos): I wonder if there are restaurants over there that get more creative, especially considering that inventiveness in upscale/pricey cuisine tend to be the norm in the rest of the world.
You dont need "fantasy" - just cook the steak medium rare, a nice rice and salad and youre all set..
@@timothyryan6018 I am all for simplicity. But outrageously expensive 'simplicity' is at best a questionable luxury, as well as conformism in cooking somewhat of a venial sin, in my opinion.

How much steak can one man eat?
As a chef I end up eating steak almost everyday of the week. Sometimes we just roast the lip of ribeye and eat the high fat ration pieces. This had been going on for a decade.
I recently had a heart attack at 33 and was thinking as they wheeled me to the OR that my days of steak eating had caught up to me.
Turned out I had a birth defect and a hole in my heart and a blood clot went through it into my artery.
No plaque, no high cholesterol, no high blood pressure.
Don't always assume a high fat diet is an unhealthy one.

Miyazaki is extremely marbled don't get me wrong but, Olive Wagyu A5 is the most marbled

Yes, that is true. But olive wagyu a5 is extremely hard to get because it is mostly sold in a4 because A5 doesn't sell well as it has an uncomfortable amount of marbling. Pretty sure they discontinued A5 Olive wagyu and sell a4 only.
