Hi, can anybody advise me please? I just moved to this new place, it's a hotel but i have a room here since my husband works here. We renovated the inside and have 2 rooms joined together like a tiny apartment. 7 months ago or so i saw that there is a small family of cats living nearby and coming to eat from the trash at night. I started leaving them food and slowly slowly they got used to me and started coming to even our door. It's a female cat with probably her male kitten, I think now he's a little over a year old and there's his dad too. Some time ago I noticed the female kitty is pregnant. At that time she was already coming inside for an hour maybe the most. The other two were afraid to come in more than a few steps. Then 3 weeks after she gave birth she brought the kittens to the shelter i made in front of our door a long time ago. It was very stormy at that time. It's a litter of four, one boy only. Since then I've been taking care of them outside but when they grew bigger and started spending time outside of their box people started getting interested in them (it's a hotel). it happened TWICE already that somebody took one and we had to "rescue" him. A few days ago we took them in, we had no other choice, people would keep "kit-napping" them. We can't really have cats inside but i tried my best to make it a good place for them. 2 days ago i FINALLY trained them to use litter box. And surprisingly the mom cat started using it too even though we let her out multiple times a day. So that's the situation right now: the kittens are now almost 6 weeks old, don't want to go outside. Their mom also wants to stay indoors now and learned on her own to use a litter box. The dad cat and the young male started coming in for longer periods of time (dad for 15 minutes or more even) and are more comfortable exploring the apartment. They rely completely on us feeding them and in the evening and night they usually hang out somewhere close. We're trying to convince our friends (whom we trust) to adopt all 4 kittens because we can't keep them. We can't afford a cat and everything that comes with it for so many years. Besides soon my elder dog is coming back to me. So here's my question - should i take the adult cats to the animal shelter so that they can get spayed/neutered, vaccinated and all (we can't afford that) and adopted or just let them live outside? We might move to a completely new place in a few months or a year the most so I don't know what to do. They seem not to be so wild anymore and the mom cat seems to be an indoor cat already and demands love and pets. Should i take only her to animal shelter? But they live together as a family and at the shelter they told us they'll most likely be separated if they take all of them. And i don't know how long it might take for especially the dad to be adopted. He's independent, doesn't like closed places and to be touched (only by me sometimes). I dont want to take away his freedom and put him in a cage for months and then MAYBE, just maybe be adopted by a person who'll be patient and nice enough. He might be a bit older already, I don't know. What should i do????????
@@Magda_7396 Try finding a local no kill shelter, most of the time they take strays or feral animals and vaccinate/neuter and spay them and release them back into the wild humanely. if that doesn't work just have your best wishes that they'll survive through natural instinct. I love older cats they have some much wisdom in their faces. The ones I feed in my neighborhood know so much of what's going and have survived. I just want to have the best of life from now on. ^..^
Lovely story about a characterful elderly cat. We do the same here, trying to give old warriors their best time and end their struggles in their twighlight years/months. They have such serenity and wisdom with unique characters. It is a privelege to be their friends. My vocation in retirement is to love and help unwanted cats, all entirely unplanned.
100% My Harvey was 9 years old when we adopted him. I feel so bad for our senior animals that are in shelters, because they hardly get a chance. My poor Harvey was in a shelter for over 5 years before we adopted him. It breaks my heart that there are many more like him...just looking to live out the rest of their days in a safe and loving home 😻🥺🐈🐈⬛
@@Claudia-lq3ns agreed, I definitely am going to make it a point to adopt some senior animals once I have room in my home. I can understand someone not wanting to face the heartache of getting attached and then losing them sooner than a young pet. But I would hope just knowing you gave them a loving home in their final years would bring some comfort. Plus honestly in many ways they’re less trouble because they’ve usually gotten the bratty, destructive behavior younger animal behavior out of their system. Except if you’re my dog, he’s 17 and still gives me hell on a daily basis. 😂 as much as he drives me insane sometimes I’m glad he’s still spry enough to keep me on my toes. I’m so glad you came into Harvey’s life and gave him a good forever home, I’m sure he was so grateful after 5 long years at the shelter. I’m actually impressed they kept him so long, I bet they were crying tears of joy when his adoption day came. My friend works in animal rescue and she was always so excited when their kitties found a home.
We adopted a “ten+ (as in the shelter stops counting lol” cat when I was young and he had a similar squeak meow. He was a black cat we named Zen and I 😂I’ll never forget him
I tamed/took in an abandoned cat. OMG, he was SO grateful to have a loving home, food he didn't have to scavenge for and a warm, dry place to sleep. One of the best sweetest cats I ever owned. RIP Scooter. Forever missed and loved
My forever best friend is asleep under his favorite chair. Right by his daddy. I love my Bubby boy. (Buddy). He just turned a year old. I am so sorry and hold a lot of sadness regarding Scooter.
What an amazing story. Every street cat deserves a safe sanctuary, a forever home.. Thank you for giving him a home 🧡 Toup sounds like my cat btw, he's also a rescue 😊
His story reminds me of my old cat Minschy. My sister saved him, when someone bound him a band to tight around his neck. Afterwards he came to our balcony every day, to say hello and maybe get some food. When fall came, we noticed he was getting thinner and had no home, so we bought him a catloo (igloo for cats) and made him a comfy home on our balcony and gave him food on a regular basis. After a year he moved in with us. He was a sweet and special boy. I still miss him every day.😻💕
Toup is one lucky little man. He gets the outdoor life he was used to but has the security of knowing there is a home and loving family waiting for him at the end of the day. It is the perfect life for him.
I have transitioned 3 outdoor feral cats to indoor cats. Two of them are tuxedos just like Toup 😊. They easily took to a litter box and are friendly. Makes me happy that they chose me and I have the means to provide them shelter. 🐱
It's so weird for me to consider a 10 year old cat a senior 😭 I can't believe my fluffy baby is already a senior. What an incredibly cute video though! Sweet bby
Medically speaking, cats used to become “senior” around 9 years old. The age has since been moved up to 11. It’s just like pregnant women 35 and over are considered “geriatric pregnancies”, even though obviously a 35 year old is not geriatric, or humans being considered “seniors” when they’re 55-65. It doesn’t mean they’re going to die tomorrow, lol. You can live 30 years past then. It’s just the terminology. You’re lucky your cat lived to 20. While that isn’t exactly rare, I’d say the majority don’t live that long.
I know what you mean. My 13-year-old still acts like a kitten. He still begs me everyday to go outside and he still plays with this bee on a string toy along with the foster kittens.
I’ve totally fallen for Toup. I love his scratchy little screeches. He’s so sweet & trusting & am so thankful you have provided him with a great home & the much needed love he deserves. So admirable that she has started a rescue for other cats too, what an incredible person she is. ❤
I'm probably just projecting, BUT I can imagine it's a relief to Toup that he is well fed, warm and loved. But esp that he can keep his belly full without having to work at it all day. So happy you found each other!
I love the raspy little meows of older cats. Long live Toup!! I have my own little godcat and also a cat niece. The niece is 18 months and the godcat is 17!
"He doesn't stay out for too long" This cat has had enough stimulation and stress from all that, i imagine. At his age, being able to sleep safely in a relatively quiet and static environment must be lovely. Lol
We had 4 rescues at once, all totally different personalities. One was a male coon cat who just made his way into our hearts. We were at least the third home for this guy. He was so happy to finally have a forever home. Greets me every day when I get home and tells me everything that happened while I was gone. Never knew one cat could be so rewarding. Think he rescued us actually.
I swear to gosh.., Toup is Great, not a complainer missing teeth, half a tail and ear and still living his Best life. He's so amazing and he has the Adorable factor going on, yay. So Happy he lives with this wonderful women 🥰🤗💖
He doesn't stay out for too long? I bet he doesn't! "Cold paws, wet fur, freezing cold? - ol' Toup's had more than enough of that! It's the indoor life for me!" 🐈⬛ ❤. Thank you for giving him comfort in his old age 🙏🏻🥰
I love Toup! Thank you for giving him a loving home and helping other cats in need. It means everything that they have safety and someone who cares 🤗♥️💕
I am grateful that people like Mig are a part of this world. All too often, it seems like empathy and kind-heartedness no longer exist. Thank you so much for reminding us that all hope is not lost.
Cat is absolutely beautiful, I recently had to put my 18 yr old cat down who was also very vocal and looked almost identical. However he was only vocal when I wasn’t petting or cuddling him. Best cuddle partner ever, I lost my soulmate when I lost him. So glad this guy found a home.
Love the name of your foundation, it's adorable and clever. So incredibly kind you took this old soul into your home, he will forever be grateful. Thank you!
I hate it when one of my cats meows loudly for food. She can see it's coming but she just cries more insistently. My other one is very observant and sits very quitely and checks if I've noticed he's being a good boy. So cute! The first one was starving when I got her and she thinks every meal is a question of survival. It's distress crying that she does. It's getting a bit less insistent now after a good 5 years of this. But sweetly she nudges me a thank you on my arm before starting to eat. Cuuuute or what?
What a great story! I moved into a trailerpark in February of 2022. I noticed that there were several cats just roaming around outside. I had had cats all my life, and had my latest one since he was a kitten from 2012. My mom always taught me to be kind to animals, so, last summer I made an effort to try and entice some of them to at least come up to me, and finally to come inside. I left a window open without a screen (yeah, I know that was risky). I knew that when the winter would come that they would be cold. Finally, I had one who would come in to eat. Then, I had another. Then, I had a third. They all got along with my older Taz cat. He was such a cool cat. He passed in March. I still have these other little furry babies who keep me entertained and feeling loved.
@@deborahcurtis1385 Thanks for replying! You just have to be nice to the little babies! As you know. They are pretty adaptive on their own. Good luck to you!
@@bear4pozcle Yeah, mine were both grown and one had been a mother. When you have an older cat that's anti social it's much harder to gain their trust and socialise them. The mother was emaciated when she was rescued. It takes time and watching their cues and also trying tricks like lying down on the floor so they will feel emboldened to approach you. I slept on the floor for 4 nights before the mother would come out and interact. Most people can't be bothered.
He is just the cutest and I love how chatty he is. He reminds me of my cat that passed away last year. Watching this made me emotional. Thank you for giving him a forever home.
Despite living a rough life, Toup has a heart of gold. 🥰 She brought him indoors, and he's giving her a loving companion for the rest of his golden years.

Toup is such a sweetie. Thanks for taking him in. Some cats make out okay outside, but as they get older it gets harder and they suffer more and more. Now he can live out his golden years safely, with plenty of food and warm beds.
I’m a cat dad of 5 formerly feral cats, two of which have feline leukemia. These babies want love and affection and the ability to trust like any other domesticated cat or dog. I really believe that animals can bring out the best in all of us. ❤
Wow!!! 😀 I've never in my life heard a cat's voice box like that. He's missing half his limbs and teeth. plus sounds like he's drank a bottle of whisky and 3 packs of cigs a day for 40 years. He certainly is a treat to listen to. Happy days ahead, my friend. 😀✌
Toup is simply adorable! His range of vocalisations are heartmelting! He looks like he's had a bit of a hard time with all his scars and his pack a day voice. Thank you for giving him a good home.
Thank you so much for rescuing this precious boy. I love his squeaky meow. I have 4 rescues currently, and because of my age (73) I simply cannot rescue anymore. This video warmed my heart and brought a tear to my eye.

Senior animals are precious and must be protected at all costs.
100%
My Harvey was 9 years old when we adopted him.
He was a black cat we named Zen and I 😂I’ll never forget him
So deserving of love a warm bed and a comfortable full belly. Thank ypu
Forever R.I.P., Scooter!!
Rest in peace angel 😇 💔 💜 ❤️
@@RaevenLin awwww, rip scooter. Love that name ❤
@@scottcupp8129 Hi, Buddy!!
Poor Cat lived it's life on the street and being a Senior now needs comfort more than ever. 😢
Thank you for helping him
What an amazing story. Every street cat deserves a safe sanctuary, a forever home.. Thank you for giving him a home 🧡 Toup sounds like my cat btw, he's also a rescue 😊
I love his screeching meows. He’s so awesome. Everyone seems to be happy you’ve found each other. A wonderful forever home for him! 🐈
"Biscuit Factory" Oh my god what a precious perfect name for your sanctuary! Toup's screechy meows give me life. ❤
That cold weather is a reminder of the old hard knocks he lived through
Doesn’t want to go back& is happy at the biscuit factory!😊🎉
He’s so sweet. I love his screetchy meow!❤
Thank goodness Toup has found a loving home in his older years. He's quite a polite and friendly older gentleman.❤
That’s not an old man, that’s an old baby ❤️
He’s absolutely adorable🐾💫😽
Seeing your compassionate care of this homeless cat has reaally warmed my heart.
What a face! What a meow!❤
He is soooo cute. So glad he's found a loving home.
Well done.
It's so weird for me to consider a 10 year old cat a senior 😭 I can't believe my fluffy baby is already a senior. What an incredibly cute video though! Sweet bby
my cat was nearly 20 years old! It is not an old cat at all with 10 years! Why she say 'senior'? I can't understand!
That’s me with my cat too 😭 I’m in complete denial I think
I think indoor cats might become senior a little later!
He is beautiful! Thank GOD for good people!! We need more animal rescuers out there! Thank you for rescuing!
@Rick James the breeding of animals needs to stop and enforcing the spay and neuter law.
So very glad you adopted him. And since look after more. Life with animals is a life of joy and laughter❤
I love the raspy little meows of older cats. Long live Toup!! I have my own little godcat and also a cat niece. The niece is 18 months and the godcat is 17!
Toup is a great kitty and so handsome. I'm glad that he's found a home where he's loved and has the life that he deserves.
"He doesn't stay out for too long" This cat has had enough stimulation and stress from all that, i imagine. At his age, being able to sleep safely in a relatively quiet and static environment must be lovely. Lol
My favorite scene is when Toup is meowing and then yawning satisfyingly, gosh, so cute. Great story, glad Toup finally found his loving home with you.
I would gladly adopt that cat! You got lucky! So is he!
I love the little man's name. Cute and chatty little guy. Nice of you to help him and guard him in his senior years... Cheers!
Toup is pure joy💚💙
Nothing like a nice roll on some warm concrete for an old kitty …
I love seniors. I’d adopt more if only I could afford the vet bills.
So cute 🥺🥺
Great story! Thank you for rescuing him and giving him a well deserved home.
I’m sorry for your loss - I know, it’s so hard. Sending lots of love to the bond that you shared 💜
Oh I just LOVE Toup!!!!! Love how chatty he is! Oh I just love him.
Love the name of your foundation, it's adorable and clever. So incredibly kind you took this old soul into your home, he will forever be grateful. Thank you!
He's so cute! I just love him!!!!
God bless you for taking Toup in and giving him a home.
Love his screeches! What a cutie. Thank you for helping this man.
What a gorgeous boy❤
😊🙏☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️👍💛💙💚💛💙💚💛💙💚🐈😸💖💖 Thank you so much
Toup's old scrappy guy meow sounds like the roar of a lion cub! 🦁
Toup is amazing! What a cute, scraggly meow, and what a cute character he is! So wonderful he found you and the love you share is precious!
Oh, Lawd, that SCREECH! I can't take it. What a little doll baby!!! Thank you for taking in this precious elder kitty boy. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for doing that for Toup ! I had the same encounter with my current cat Peri
so sweet.❤
What a chatterbox! 😂 he seems lovely. I like it when my little baby becomes more talkative and meows more, which is rare.
What a great caretaker! Beautiful cat...love the scratchy voice.
Thank you for taking care of the less fortunate among us.
Toup, continue to live a happy life.
He's the cutest little old man. ❤
I've been concerned my cats wouldn't adjust to a small trailer or motor van but you're giving me hope there.
Bless you and your Kitties, Your a LEGEND! Rest easy Taz Cat!

thank you for making his live so nice
He is just the cutest and I love how chatty he is. He reminds me of my cat that passed away last year. Watching this made me emotional. Thank you for giving him a forever home.
He's so sweet. Seniors are the best❤😊
"The biscuit factory" is the best cat rescue name! 💯
thank you!!
Despite living a rough life, Toup has a heart of gold. 🥰 She brought him indoors, and he's giving her a loving companion for the rest of his golden years.
You're his angel - taking in a senior kitty takes a very special and empathetic person! They deserve all the love and need extra care. I'm so happy you're in this world!
Awe...love those meows
Animals are genius! Love Toup’s roar. Thank you for providing safe sanctuary for this wise old man. He’s beautiful. Deserves love and a good home. God bless you and your family for taking such tender care of this furry angel.
Toup is such a sweetie. Thanks for taking him in. Some cats make out okay outside, but as they get older it gets harder and they suffer more and more. Now he can live out his golden years safely, with plenty of food and warm beds.
what a cutie pie! God bless you for taking care of this little guy! 🥰
I’m a cat dad of 5 formerly feral cats, two of which have feline leukemia. These babies want love and affection and the ability to trust like any other domesticated cat or dog. I really believe that animals can bring out the best in all of us. ❤
Oh my God, what an angel. 😊
Wow!!! 😀 I've never in my life heard a cat's voice box like that. He's missing half his limbs and teeth. plus sounds like he's drank a bottle of whisky and 3 packs of cigs a day for 40 years. He certainly is a treat to listen to. Happy days ahead, my friend. 😀✌
Funnily enough, my brother's cat has the exact same meow, and I've never heard another like it till today!
Ha...love this. Made me laugh. I know so many human Toups. Lol.
Toup is simply adorable! His range of vocalisations are heartmelting!
He looks like he's had a bit of a hard time with all his scars and his pack a day voice.
Thank you for giving him a good home.
"his pack a day voice" 🤣
Toup! What an adorable guy! Thank you for welcoming him into your home ♥♥♥
He's a good boy and you're a good girl for providing a home for him. His screeches are adorable 😍🥰
Thank you so much for rescuing this precious boy. I love his squeaky meow. I have 4 rescues currently, and because of my age (73) I simply cannot rescue anymore. This video warmed my heart and brought a tear to my eye.
