During the crypto storm this card was pretty much the only card at msrp where I live due to the dag size not fitting the vram. The vram limitation was the factor that saved the card from a hard life of slave mining.

Still using mine as I write this, Win 11 will never take me alive LOL [yes I've all kinds of 3rd party defences, and so should you whatever OS you're running ty!]
Seriously OP, you illustrated brilliantly that only the latest games from 2020 onwards will cause it any trouble on high/max settings and would probably run the latest DX drivers if MS hadn't OS locked it behind Win 11; Yes, there would be sacrifices, but it's still enjoyable, and in older games 2010-2018 it's perfectly valid, it really depends on what you use it for, and your title selection illustrates that perfectly.
I came close to upgrading for Cyberpunk, but glad i didn't from the state of that game at launch, but there's a couple titles coming up that will probably squeeze a few $000's out of me.
    Great video! thanks!

I remember when I finally decided to get a decent GPU for my PC(jumped from a gtx 750ti that I used for about 2 years) and in 2017 for some reason the 3gb USED was going for 120$ where as the 1060 6gb would be upwards of 200$ and given the price difference I opted for 3GB, served me well up until this summer actually when the 3060 finally reached a decent price and got a brand new one for like 400$ which was a pretty decent bearable price but the 1060 3g will forever remain as a beast in my book despite the vram limitation.

I had the _msi gtx970 gaming oc_ since early 2015. I bought that brand new for 299€, played on 720p@60hz maxing out every game until 2017 when i upgraded to 1080p@60hz. The 1060-3gb performs similar and both of these cards are still good if youre happy with low quality settings everywhere... But i had enough, my gtx970 served me well, still working and with just a repaste i had a placeholder GPU on my new r7-5800x system in the last years of lockdown... But now i'm with my 1st Red team GPU in my new all AMD build finally completed: i've choosen the _XFX Merc Black rx6750xt_ brand new for 599€ in June 2022 (when used cheap custom 3070 was around 700€). After few months of undervolt+overclock testing i have reached a stable global oc and i now match the 3070ti in games with overclocked 3070 scores in benchs (1080p@144hz + 1440p@144hz).
I was tired of worring about vRAM, and an 8gb card in 2022 was not Ideal for me that i keep cards as long as i can 😎
I wanted a 3070 but i have a better card, i hope It will last. I don't use RT cause it doesn't add anything to the gameplay, so i only care about raster3D. Honestly impressed with the performance of rdna2 ❤️

Played all the way through cyberpunk 2077 on that thing and it was super smooth the entire time even though it wasn't always 60fps. But im fairly certain i remember the 3gb 1060 performing better on earlier versions of Cyberpunk I remember getting 40-50 most of the time in the city areas Same with RDR2 played through that on launch with the 1060 3gb. It may not get 60fps in alot of games but it sure does give me you a half decent experience in most games. I have a 2080 ti now But my old 1060 is sitting on a shelf above my pc. Damn good card

      Architecture is getting too old.
Like you said, RTX 2060 will be the new budget entry 1080p GPU…
I’d recommend at least an RTX 2070 Super tho for a a decent experience at 1080p for these next gen only games in 2023.
But for a very good experience at 1080p instead of just decent?
Probably the 3060Ti will be that for next-gen only games.

Kryzzp you can actually play Spider-Man Miles Morales with 40-60 fps with high textures with IGTI Ultra Quality enabled. It looks less shimmery than AMD FSR in my experience. Just put traffic density, crowd density and weather particle quality to low. Hair quality can also be put to low for a bit more fps in cutscenes but it really doesn't help that much so I keep it on high and get 30 fps in cutscenes where hair is visible for characters. You have a better cpu and psu than mine so it should run even better for you I think. I just really love spider-man games so I gave my two cents. I've finished both games twice hehe.

I play in VR with this graphic card, so it definitely holds up.

Hey I also played HL:A with this card!
I did have to play about 45% res scaling though, and also during the Jeff chapter I had to drop it to 25% for the physics to work correctly 😅

hey kryzp big fan, do you think you'll ever do benchmarks with different CPUs. I mean they'd be centered around graphic cards but you can use appropriate CPUs with them. CPUs that people who buy those cards are most likely to have, so like have a i5 4th gen for 1060 -3gb or rx 560

    • @zWORMzGaming
      @zWORMzGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

That's CPU benchmarking, in that case it's better to test with a high end GPU to see what the CPU is capable of.
An adequate CPU that doesn't bottleneck the GPU I'm testing will get the same FPS as my system, because the GPU is the bottleneck of performance

Also... I felt this video was a bit rushed. O felt it lacked of other Sunday videos. The transitions felt quicker than usual, and GPU-Z wasn't shown. It might seem minor and nitpicky, but as a long-time watcher I felt it.
