Bro the happines i got when my parents finally bought me a gtx 1060 3gb after using a gt220 for a year playing gta 5 with lowest graphics 25fps but i still appreciate the gt220 for giving me a good time

Indeed, I bought mine during the mining fever due to being the only mid-end GPU available at MSRP or below; suffice to say, the 6GB version didn't escape the claws of miners/scalpers.
Still usable, but the 6GB cards have aged so much more gracefully, in many modern games having at least 50 percent higher 1% low and in some cases even twice as high numbers.

But i wonder how it will keep up the next game area. So next year, maybe christmas or summer would be nice to see the rtx 2060
GTX 1060 or really any GTX 10 series card will be dead honestly by 2023… Architecture is getting too old. Like you said, RTX 2060 will be the new budget entry 1080p GPU… I’d recommend at least an RTX 2070 Super tho for a a decent experience at 1080p for these next gen only games in 2023. But for a very good experience at 1080p instead of just decent? Probably the 3060Ti will be that for next-gen only games.

I play in VR with this graphic card, so it definitely holds up. It’s the definition of minimum, but I recently replayed Half Life Alyx on it and it ran fine, although I manually reduced the texture quality significantly to avoid bottlenecks with the VRAM.
Hey I also played HL:A with this card! I did have to play about 45% res scaling though, and also during the Jeff chapter I had to drop it to 25% for the physics to work correctly 😅 Apparently source 2 and VR tracking aren't great at sub-30 FPS, even though I myself could stomach it.
@@ryanvtec3885 Yeah, the 1060 3GB lacks VRAM and it shows sometimes. Reducing the texture resolution can help reducing the performance impact, but it’s not a fix. I was thinking of upgrading to a 3050 for the improvement in performance and the higher VRAM.
Hey Kryzzp I was wondering do you use msi afterburner and how do you get the on screen display to look that nice I cant figure it out? Also your videos of benchmarking are by far the best out there!
I had the _msi gtx970 gaming oc_ since early 2015. I bought that brand new for 299€, played on 720p@60hz maxing out every game until 2017 when i upgraded to 1080p@60hz. The 1060-3gb performs similar and both of these cards are still good if youre happy with low quality settings everywhere... But i had enough, my gtx970 served me well, still working and with just a repaste i had a placeholder GPU on my new r7-5800x system in the last years of lockdown... But now i'm with my 1st Red team GPU in my new all AMD build finally completed: i've choosen the _XFX Merc Black rx6750xt_ brand new for 599€ in June 2022 (when used cheap custom 3070 was around 700€). After few months of undervolt+overclock testing i have reached a stable global oc and i now match the 3070ti in games with overclocked 3070 scores in benchs (1080p@144hz + 1440p@144hz). I was tired of worring about vRAM, and an 8gb card in 2022 was not Ideal for me that i keep cards as long as i can 😎 I wanted a 3070 but i have a better card, i hope It will last. I don't use RT cause it doesn't add anything to the gameplay, so i only care about raster3D. Honestly impressed with the performance of rdna2 ❤️
Gtx Series a Beast... That was also around the time when I wanted to build a I5-8600k + Gtx 1070ti but had no money.... Fast forward to the future in 2021, I finally got enough money then build a Ryzen 5 5600x + Rtx 3070ti :)
Hey kryzzp im gonna pick this card up but my i5 3rd is gonns bottleneck it i was considering an i3 8100. Im looking for this level of performance should i pick the i3 up?
I don’t like the 1060, not because it’s a bad GPU, but because of the people who own them. it’s still the most popular GPU out there and people get mad when their aging 6 year old GPU can’t run a game well. I’ve argued with people defending their mid tier GPU from 2016, saying developers are lazy and the game is terribly optimized. It’s like no dude you’re running seriously out of date hardware what did you expect?
This card has around the same performance as the GTX 980 4GB, but the main problem of the 980 was (after some years) the low VRAM, so the 1060 with less VRAM was worse, the 6GB must be way better, more when most game at 1080p are at 5-6GB of VRAM usage
22:12 maybe not, because have only 3gb of vram and the game stutter a lot when the vram is full, in 1060 6gb it's fine play overwatch on 1440p but in 3gb model not (maybe on low settings but i prefer 1080p high than 1440p low)
Hey Kryzzp, just a heads up when it comes to fortnite testing. Something I did for my system that helped out with stuttering a lot was going to nvidia control panel and setting the shader cache to 100 gigs or unlimited if you want to. Really cut down the stutters and it’s way more enjoyable now.
Hey Wormz big fan here, just wanted to know if you've heard of the mclassic. I was using one during the gpu crisis and you may see some fidelity with it. Its an upscaler, works best for 720p upscaled to 1440p. Thought it would be worth a shot and interesting
amazing video dude ! can you do a full video on the rtx 3060 ti benchmarking warzone 2 since its one of the more harder games to run ? that'd be very much appreciated
Hey kryzzp! Amazing video dude I wanted to ask you wether you will try the new hello neighbour 2 game on your benchmarks? That game looks much better as compared to the original one. We need Digimon to join you on more Sunday videos!
I've just upgraded from a 1060 3gb to the rtx 3050. The 1060 3gb run games just well, the only problem being the low VRAM which makes performance dip and bring sttuters, unfortunately. Also, lowering textures on modern games make them look really bad tbh
@UCPPuBA8WalaurXYGHZ8bTyQ I would definitely buy a 6600/6600 xt if 3050 was on the same price range. Paid 200US$ for the Asus TUF 3050 here in Brazil. Cheapest 6600/6600xt & 6650xt right now cost 343/477 US$ here. So it was a good deal on this 3050 which costs 300US$ (cheapest model)
@@xClanPkSx in europe its different. the RX 6600 is 30 $ cheaper than the RTX 3050, and the RX 6650XT is almost the same price as the RTX 3050.... that's a gigantic difference. rtx 3050 is roughly equal to a GTX 1070 and the 6650xt is faster than the GTX 1080 Ti..
@@okami9039 It was really a BF offer. But still rtx 3050 here in Brazil costs less than rx 6600 Rx 6600: 1700R$ (324US$) Rtx 3050 & 2060: 1500R$ (286US$)
im still using this today but 6gb variant still good in 1080p @60hfps stable with recent games and what best? undervolting 0.750V @1667mhz core clock with 4227mem clock quiet impress me without losing performance but in energy efficient and only reach max 60°C temp under heavy load with 50W TDP 😍😍
Hey kryzzpy is that fine to go with an apu build for coding purpose and casual gaming . If you see this comment plz suggest some decent games for 5600g build .
Going from this and an AMD Ryzen 1400 Quad Core to a GTX 4090 and an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. Honestly it can still run old games ok but the new ones forget it, the amount of stuttering is nuts.
Kryzzp you can actually play Spider-Man Miles Morales with 40-60 fps with high textures with IGTI Ultra Quality enabled. It looks less shimmery than AMD FSR in my experience. Just put traffic density, crowd density and weather particle quality to low. Hair quality can also be put to low for a bit more fps in cutscenes but it really doesn't help that much so I keep it on high and get 30 fps in cutscenes where hair is visible for characters. You have a better cpu and psu than mine so it should run even better for you I think. I just really love spider-man games so I gave my two cents. I've finished both games twice hehe.
Hi ! I am very concerned because I own a 1060 6GB and my games doesn't run that well :( I have a r5 2600 cpu btw. How did u configure your Nvidia settings and w10 maybe ?

+the 1gb difference allows the 1650 to handle 1440p better
i was even considering using a 1060 instead of a 1650 for my pc, but i just wanted the newer architecture.
the 1060 6gb on the other hand, blows the 1650 out the water.
not the super
thanks for this! will get one today for 30 bucks, still with box, cd etc and pretty decent condition
i remember when you made the gtx 570 haha, surprising that i went back to the video and i can see that it still has such good performance
Awesome GPU the Rx580 8GB ….. still to this day 😳😱🤯✊💪💪. The new Unreal engine plays quite well on this GPU which is great to see! Respect to AMD for creating and still supporting this amazing lil GPU 🤤💪✊. Great video Kryzzp…….. btw, the uzi joke ….. umm…… glad to see you’re an awesome benchmarker 😂🤣😅👍🥰😇
Nice i was expecting this video 😊
found one today brand new, for 50 dlls! i hope it runs decenty on my games! thanks for the video :)
would love to see that in a fiew months when the next big titles come out with the rtx 2060. Because atm its pretty much a perfect budget 1080P GPU for high-mid settings 60FPS. But i wonder how it will keep up the next game area. So next year, maybe christmas or summer would be nice to see the rtx 2060
GTX 1060 or really any GTX 10 series card will be dead honestly by 2023…
Architecture is getting too old.
Like you said, RTX 2060 will be the new budget entry 1080p GPU…
I’d recommend at least an RTX 2070 Super tho for a a decent experience at 1080p for these next gen only games in 2023.
But for a very good experience at 1080p instead of just decent?
Probably the 3060Ti will be that for next-gen only games.
@@elaiswaifu5459 what do u think ab a 1660ti
@@itzcentauri6769 personally I would jump to RTX 2060. Similar performances but you have DLSS and Ray Tracing in games that support it.
3060ti will be future proof 1080p card
@@elaiswaifu5459 i think driver support is going to end soon but ive heard on forums thats someones making unnofficial drivers for gtx 9xx and 10xx series that add modern features like rebar and dlss similiar to the nimez drivers for amd if it actually happens the 1060 6gb-1080ti will get a couple more years of playability
Wow that's really impressive!
I did have to play about 45% res scaling though, and also during the Jeff chapter I had to drop it to 25% for the physics to work correctly 😅
Apparently source 2 and VR tracking aren't great at sub-30 FPS, even though I myself could stomach it.
My girlfriends kid is running the 1060 3gb with his oculus works good but he needs more system vram
@@ryanvtec3885 Yeah, it's playable, just not ideal.
Love your vids🥰 they bring me joy
Pls Make an updated video on the rx 580 8gb i am looking forward to buying an xfx one for 110 dollars
I was tired of worring about vRAM, and an 8gb card in 2022 was not Ideal for me that i keep cards as long as i can 😎
I wanted a 3070 but i have a better card, i hope It will last.
Omggggg CAN'T BELIEVE MY GPU IS HERE💜💜💜💜
I KNEW THAT WAS COMING KRYZZPOO
You going to try the upgrade of the witcher 3 day one patch on the 14th?? 🙂
Oh yeah!
Good video Krissp and krisspy
Oh man, my card! I use it on the second system as 4k display adapter and 4k h265 stream decoder from PC with rtx 3080 (Nvidia gamestream - moonlight)
I bought it for a 40 dollars 4 months ago it's pretty awesome price for the performance
22:12 maybe not, because have only 3gb of vram and the game stutter a lot when the vram is full, in 1060 6gb it's fine play overwatch on 1440p but in 3gb model not (maybe on low settings but i prefer 1080p high than 1440p low)
I’m going to be using a gtx 1060 3gb with a optiplex build I’m doing with a i5 7500, 16gb ram ddr4 and 1060. Pretty good combo
Oh can't wait to see you benchmark the 7900xtx and 7900xt. Hopefully it'll be today
Hey Wormz big fan here, just wanted to know if you've heard of the mclassic. I was using one during the gpu crisis and you may see some fidelity with it. Its an upscaler, works best for 720p upscaled to 1440p. Thought it would be worth a shot and interesting
Interesting! Never heard of it, I'll search about it :)
amazing video dude ! can you do a full video on the rtx 3060 ti benchmarking warzone 2 since its one of the more harder games to run ? that'd be very much appreciated
I remember that I was going to get one back in 2016. Ended up with an used 780 Ti instead and it was a good choice back then.
will you do spiderman miles morales 1060 6gb with with graphics on high and low weather please ? or medium settings with high textures and low weather
Newegg U.S has new rx 580 8gb's for around $100. (They had one for $88).
Maybe time for another rx 580 8gb video?
i love your videos, can u make a video where u test different gpus in crysis?
Thank you for reviewing my GPU
Thanks for watching!
Anyway, great benchmark as always, krizzp
Thanks mate!
Hey kryzzp! Amazing video dude I wanted to ask you wether you will try the new hello neighbour 2 game on your benchmarks? That game looks much better as compared to the original one.
We need Digimon to join you on more Sunday videos!
Jumping from 7th gen intel with gtx1060 card, it still lives with my 13th gen intel for casual gaming, didnt expect it to live that long
still a decent card thanks for the video!
i would like to see you testing my card rtx 3070 ti in the future
hey man, I want to ask something, you have so many gpu's in you, after the test what do you do with them?
What bitrate are you uploading with for 1080p videos ? what codec do you use h264 or h265 ? would be Great if you shared, Thank you
I've just upgraded from a 1060 3gb to the rtx 3050. The 1060 3gb run games just well, the only problem being the low VRAM which makes performance dip and bring sttuters, unfortunately. Also, lowering textures on modern games make them look really bad tbh
you went from 1060 3gb to basically a gtx 1070, that's not a big jump :/
@@xClanPkSx wha-
How? Here in india it's the exact opposite lol rx 6600 costs 22k-24k rupees while rtx 3050 costs 27-29k rupees
@@okami9039 It was really a BF offer. But still rtx 3050 here in Brazil costs less than rx 6600
Rx 6600: 1700R$ (324US$)
Rtx 3050 & 2060: 1500R$ (286US$)
nice video for gtx 1060 3gb :)
it would be nice to see if you tested more amd cards
Hes tested like every card ever lol what on earth could you want
im still using this today but 6gb variant still good in 1080p @60hfps stable with recent games and what best? undervolting 0.750V @1667mhz core clock with 4227mem clock quiet impress me without losing performance but in energy efficient and only reach max 60°C temp under heavy load with 50W TDP 😍😍
I bought this exact gpu 2 months ago for like 30$ so im really glad for it, cause it is still good, especially for mc etc
How did u get it for 30$
Helloooo my friend. Merry Christmas in advance.
Hey! Same to you mate :)
Hey kryzzpy is that fine to go with an apu build for coding purpose and casual gaming . If you see this comment plz suggest some decent games for 5600g build .
I have the ryzen 5 5600g and it's not bad. It's like a gt 1030
Going from this and an AMD Ryzen 1400 Quad Core to a GTX 4090 and an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. Honestly it can still run old games ok but the new ones forget it, the amount of stuttering is nuts.
add Elden Ring to all your benchmark vids bro. its very popular game and triple A we want to see how gpu does on it
Kryzzp you can actually play Spider-Man Miles Morales with 40-60 fps with high textures with IGTI Ultra Quality enabled.
Would love to see a long video on Windows 11 optimisations for gaming
Hi ! I am very concerned because I own a 1060 6GB and my games doesn't run that well :( I have a r5 2600 cpu btw. How did u configure your Nvidia settings and w10 maybe ?
Hey kryzzp do you need to verify the integrity of steam games after updating or downloading?
Hey Kryzzp! Will you test the game "171" please?
Hi, not planning on covering it!
@@zWORMzGaming Oh well. May i ask why?
I still have my 1060 gtx 6gig and still doing well. I did download a program called lossless scaling which is a fsr/dlss type program. It actually does really well.
7:30 each time you switch gpu the games has to compile shader again, that's why stutters occur
I still have one but I upgraded to the rx5600xt. I may throw it in another build it still gamed decent except for the vram in some games
gtx 1060 3gb defo decent for games still
I have this card but only 1 fan variant. I'm planning on getting an rx 6600 8gb, it seems like the best bang for my buck, is it a good upgrade? It will be paired with a ryzen 5 5500GT. My monitor can only reach 1080p @60 fps and I'm happy with it.
