A short DIY narrated project for those interested in how to remove the inner door panel on a 2014 Porsche 991 C4S. The procedure is simple, and only requires interior trim tools and a hex bit. I walk through each step for removal, then in reverse re-installation of the trim panel.

Another big Thank You for doing this video. It enabled me to change out the window switch system - and saved a long trip to the dealer!
Thank you so much for posting this. I may have to remove my door card and this has given me the confidence to give it a go.
Thank you, very good explanation. I hope you upload more information. It is very useful for those of us who do not have experience.
Excellent! I've just bought a 991.1 turbo and it is beyond beautiful, except for a tiny rattle the other side of that door panel! Investigation to follow, but thanks! Austyn
THANKS I’m gonna do almost all that tomorrow just gonna remove the passenger side to get the panel fixed. Thanks for the vid👍🏼🔥
Holy shit. One of my buttons on my window switch broke on my '14 991 C4S Cabriolet. I figured, WTH, let me just check with Porsche and see what they'll charge me. Are you ready for this??? Porsche San Diego told me, parts and labor...$800. Yes...you heard right...Eight Hundred dollars!!! I bought the new switch on ebay for $32. with free shipping. I followed your video which was great. Thirty minutes later, I have 768 extra dollars in my wallet...thanks to you!!!!
This was very helpful. Thanks a bunch!
Fantastic vid. I’ve got a rattle somewhere behind the door card. Will be doing this. Thanks again
Thank you this is very helpful to me...I need to replace a faulty passenger window switch.
Also you actually have to lift up on the door panel to remove it. there are 5 or 6 jay hooks built into the plastic on the back of the door panel.
Really clear video - wasn’t sure how you removed the door pull though - does that white retainer just pull off?
that is a great trim tool set where do you get it
Thanks, GT. This will make my speaker replacement project so much easier. Bose system on 991 is just horrible.
Thanks, @John Y! Agree the Bose OE kit is bland ... Good luck with the project!
Dear Sir -> Thanks for this great video. I may upgrade my standard interior with leather. What about the dash? Do you have a video on removing the dash? I would need to add leather to it too. Thanks in advance.
Hi- I don't have any direct experience removing the entire dash surface, but if it helps can provide some instructions from the official WM's on the procedure. DM me GTSilver911@gmail.com if interested. And thanks for watching! I like hearing from viewers that these videos help out!
Does anyone know if the piece forward of the one behind the door handle, the one that surrounds the memory settings, also comes out? I am thinking about painting it.
Thanks, I want to remove a quarter glass too.
+Pop Lynn thanks for commenting! For more DIYs check out my blog at http:\\plenums.blogspot.com. There is a post about removing the rear side window on the 991.... hope that helps.
how do u disable the airbags ???
how do you remove the whole door?
dealer wants 1 hour for each door labor to remove door panes so they can install puddle lights for my new 992... does that make sense?
That’s why they call them “stealerships”. They make as much if not more money on services as they do selling cars.
What about passengers door?
Hey if you want to sell those door panels, contact me. I’m going to order them for wood strips. Can’t just order the wood. Let me know. I assume their black.
