I first heard Rev. Gary Davis on Pete Seeger’s show “Rainbow Quest.” Really got into the Rev. after listening to a lot of Ramblin Jack Elliott. I’m in my early thirties and want to keep this music alive. I really appreciate what you do brother! Thank you.

I've been playing guitar for years and have always been intimidated to even start trying to play like Davis. This gives me a great place to start. Are there any teachers of his style you know of anywhere around central/southern Indiana/Louisville?

Thanks for the tips. I’ve been playing 40 years ( old guy at 58 now) but just getting started learning fingerpicking. Am I right in thinking that Jorma often plays in the Gary Davis style? Any listening recommends for the Good Reverend? I’m on a no money budget and can’t even afford lessons. I like your teaching style, too, and having it here on TH-cam is a blessing. Extremely generous of you, my friend.
