Thank you so much for making this awesome track! Agree with others, I had always hoped one day I'd hear these incredible bass lines in greater detail. Awesome!
Yeah, those little ghost notes are a major psrt of his playing. It's one of those things where tue average listener tends to not notice them... but play without them and you notice a major difference

Well, not _truly_ isolated, but WTF I'll take it. Besides, when I first heard this back in the early 80's I woulda killed to hear this version! BTW, Geddy sounds like he's singing from a bottomless pit. :-D
In the center channel of the 5.1 mix (which is mainly where this isolation is from), the guitar solos and synth leads are occasionally played on this channel very loudly making it pretty much impossible to hear the bass anyway. I attempted to isolate the bass during these parts but that was the result, sadly.
Great job with this track! I was hoping someone would an isolated bass and drum track for this great song. Geddy's Rickenbacker bass guitar sounds phenomenal here and I LOVE how you included Geddy's Mini-Moog in the mix, as well. Hope someone does an isolated guitar backing track for this song, like someone did with "La Villa Strangiato". Alex Lifeson used his electric 12 string guitar recording this entire album, and I'll bet it would sound phenomenal on this song, as well.
Thanks! When I have a minute can take a look and see if I can manage to put a decent isolated guitar track together. The bass and drums are quite a bit easier work with because they're pretty much isolated already in the center channel of the 5.1 mix, but the guitar is mixed with other instruments in the left and right channels. I'll see what I can do.
Was it his gibson double neck? I’ve always been intrigued by the tone on this song it’s so unique I feel. The 12 string would account for the fullness.
Ah I've waited many many years for this to be revealed, either through a leak from something like Jammit (no longer) or a 5.1 remix, which this is! Was this all center channel I wonder or a combination? I am surprised there aren't more vocals in center if it is only center.

Oh my sizzle dang, Geddy...that bass! Neil and Geddy...wow, just wow!
Sizzle dang! 😄😄
I knew this video would come into existence one day. Prayers have been answered!
Love all the little subtleties you can hear with Geddy's playing, some of his best work right here.

Yeah that's the gorgeous, and no doubt very expensive studio reverb on Geddy's vocals
That drumming OMG 😱
Incredible rhythm section
6:27 what happened to volume? LOL. It's "one" of best bass lines in the song.

Wow so expressive and the bass/drums interaction in the accents is superb! PS I cranked up the bass frequencies for more juice!
excellent
