I am an experienced skydiver almost 500 jumps but just just got back into it after 4 years. I still know my stuff but if I'm not sure, I'll still ask questions. I don't care how many jumps you have if you are not sure ask. I love helping new jumpers as well and if they ask me a question, I'll answer it if I know if I don't, I'll point them to the right person. Blue skies.
I plan on going for my class A training next month. I'm a fairly shy person so hopefully that doesn't affect my training. I hear over and over, that people at the DZ are probably going to be the friendliest people you'll ever meet.
I've never had someone at my DZ ever turn me down when I ask them a question. I've been in situations that i shouldn't have been and if you're the guy with the ego you're probably done for the day. If you're showing you're trying to learn and take accountability for you fk ups people will respect that.
Craig Girard is a great example that the best people in our sport are also the most humble and approachable. Be like Craig :)
