I like how pontus loves to do big splashy plays that either end very well or very badly. it's just always fun to see

To quote Rounders: "You can't lose what you don't put in the middle. But you can't win much either."

Hearing your thinking behind what hands to keep or mulligan is incredibly helpful

That was the big plan with this video style.

12:35 you can resolve the trigger for one ring first to lose your life, then with an empty stack you have priority again to activate the one ring during your upkeep to fish for instant speed spells prior to your draw step

Mon's the silver tongue devil, that was a great turn. With such a risky start.

I might try that Pako package now instead of Thassa & Leveler for fun. Good game Mons & everyone!

Love how the abdel player got salty about a wishclaw talisman so he decided to just screw mons out of having a chance

I'm really confused whenever Pontus says 'that's good, but that's not a good thing to keep on a first/second seven'
    Like
What are the implications? That the chances of getting a better hand among multiple mulligans outweigh the 'mid-ness' of the second seven? And on a four you would be forced to keep something like this, because you almost never get better going deeper? The phrasing makes it a bit confusing

Yes, there are a *lot* of 5-4 card hands that are better than mid 7. Even some super good 3 card hand like crypt land wheel or land dark ritual necro is better than mid 7.

Yeah you basically got the gist of it. It's got some good things but not enough to stop me from going for something better
I think I started doing it due to people being offended about me calling hands bad tbh lol

Such a poor argument, I really disliked the attitude of 3rd seat! Having a Wishclaw wouldn't change the randomness of drawing a Phyrexian Altar, such a randomly untrue thing to say. Eliminating Pontus and the Wishclaw is likely the better play as opposed to floating the Wishclaw around, especially when Pontus has Dualcaster and Twinflame revealed, and Rhetoric can fight to protect Seedborn for another untap step for 6 more cards by their turn. It ultimately didn't affect anything, but the gaslighting and griefing attitude was not justified. It's disrespectful to Mons as a host, and the competitive sportsmanship of the table. If you have a problem with decisions surrounding a play it's on you to speak up and start a reasonable discussion/negotiation with the table when it is being made and suggest that certain players reveal their hands to influence table decisions. You can still participate in the game with no cards in hand. It's grossly disappointing watching people blame others instead of focusing on themselves.
