2004 ... damn time passed in a split second ... Time passed as fast as a blitzkrieg . This game was so good that even after so many years, the credits music is still in my mind. Reminds me of the time when I was playing Return to Castle wolfenstein for the 5th time.
RTCW is damn good still playin it sometimes

People from 2021 here. We still love and remember Blitzkrieg game series, especially Stalingrad game. And we still love and remember music group named Skafandr, which did this perfect soundtrack. Peace and love for everyone from Russia, September 2021.

I bought this game back in 2011 on a school trip when i was 7 years old... Brings back so many memories
Just started a new campaign, love coming back to this masterpiece every once in a while
Year 2004. I woke up and went to friend to play around 8 am, couse he had enough strong PC to run it. Half hour later mum texts me: where are you, I thought you are sleeping. Mum, I said, I'm in Stalingrad...
I just started playing this today and was not expecting this soundtrack. Damn they went way too hard for an rts, love it lol

Imagine if there was one for every major point in the war.... DDay for example or one set in the pacific. Im not talking about blitzkrieg but this game as it is more realistic

Funny how such a niche game had such an awesome soundtrack. The fact that so many people, including me, are coming back to this 16 years after the release means that Skafandr couldn't have hit the nail on its head any better.
Now compare that with the WW1 BK game, which didn't only suck gameplay wise but also had probably the worst soundtrack I've ever heard in a game.

Played every mission in this game back in the day. Very good WW2 simulator. Together with the Cuban Missile Crisis which is a lot harder game.

It aged well i think, company of heroes certainly can not compare, and wargame is too hard/complicated for me. I even bought stalingrad again on humble bundle because i lost my original copy (i borrowed its CD belive me or not from my local library XD)

I like this soundtrack a lot more, than the soundtrack of Red Alert 2. ( I just mentioned Red Alert 2 here, because it's also a classic RTS, and its soundtrack is famously heavy) Awesome atmosphere, pretty agressive/brutal and chilly/coldish tones at once, just like russian winter on the steppes. I could listen to it for hours. I don't know, what music genre it belongs to. I would say, it's some kind of ambient stoner metal. Whatever it is, thumbs up!

for some reason this shitty midi af metal/rock (sorry, im not musically literate) works well with the game, guess its the contrast between people killing each other in a pixelated game and pumped up slavic music makes it, still, i enjoy listening this out of nostalgia, i wish i still had the disks to replay the game.

I get missing a hard disk copy (I miss mine for Blitzkrieg) but if you really wanted to play again for nostalgia sake then its available on a lot of online stores like Steam and Humblebundle
