    The diamond defense strategy works fine until the opponent wingers are faster or skillful. Then you can easily find your wingers and CD lost in the middle.

    for everyone of you who criticize this diamond shape, then you dont really know the basic of futsal. yes there are many weakness after this shape played on the pitch, but this is the basic of all more advance strategy. players need to understand this principle of play first. after that, they will know the weakness of this strategy and they will step up to the next level. so is this the best strategy? no. is there many weakness that opponent can take especially on the space in the wing? of course. is this the number 1 basic you need to learn in futsal? absolute yes.

    Hey! Interesting video, especially the defensive part. Re the attacking part; I'm missing the final explanation of how to create chances out of this setup and of these diagonal runs. Are we trying to drag two of the opponents together to the same attacker to create room for another attacker? Please explain :-) Thanks!

    • @ProgressiveSoccer
      @ProgressiveSoccer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are trying to create gaps in the defence by the constant rotation. This is just a guideline at the end of the day creating chances usually comes from individual creativity. HOwever, if you use this method the gaps will appear. Aiming for lots of back post runs and simple tap in goals.

Also things like work that want you to work weekends 😂😂. Anyway awesome helpful video. Love your channel so much. I'm actually a footballer trying to adapt to futsal

      when the other team is holding their shape, depending on their defending positions, a way get around them is to do a rotation and change your formation. For example if you are playing as a 1-2-1 (diamond) and they are defending as a diamond if you played a pass across court making the diagonal run through the court, the top man shifts to the other side of the court, your other rotating player comes back and your formation becomes 2-2 (box). This opens up channels either through the middle of the court or down the sides of the court. (This same tactic can also work when the other team is defending as a 2-2 (box)). If the simple switch of formation isn't working then a 4 man rotation would be needed however this is very hard to explain over a message and you would be required to watch a video.

  • @daniel_twine2816
    @daniel_twine2816 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Pitch is to small for this to work, you need to be tight to the man to block the shot otherwise if someone has a good strike from distance the likely hood that it’s going to go in is very likely

    Actually the worst tactics to counter plays.. If your team is strong in passing and can play under pressure this could work...

    Swarm the shit out of him? If he has a good one touch pass, your team is doomed and the structure is wide open. Flawed defending strategy. A man-to-man marking is more solid in futsal game.

    • @loukasgate7
      @loukasgate7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed. I believe the best time to trap is on the wings. If your attacker has a good stamina and defensive work rate. His first job is to press their last defender if he crosses half court with the ball at his feet. But as soon as he passes to a wing then your attacker should join your wing defender and press him 2 on 1 cause his back is against the throw in lines and he has nowhere to go.
