I'd only get a Jeep to trailer to the trail, I definitely wouldn't DD one. I went wheeling in a 4 door Jeep on 40s this past weekend. We drove to and from the trail, we had an absolute blast! But I wouldn't DD one, too small inside. I would get a Jeep for Jeep'n though.
I’m sure I will eventually, I just don’t see the need for them right now so the extended bumps will work. I use my truck hard off road but not to the point where I’m jumping a lot and actually getting into the bump stops. We’ll see how long before I change my mind haha.
What settings are you running on your 3.0s? I have the same set up on my 17 raptor but it’s next to impossible to find setting recommendations other then what fox recommends. I recently disconnected the sway bar in the front and think the truck drives a lot smoother but does have more body roll for sure
I’m still playing around with the settings to see what I like. I haven’t touched the rear because there are so many adjustments. In the front I left the high speed the same, and just adjusted the low speed a few clicks more firm than factory settings. Seems to be good so far.
So far I really like them! Noticeably smoother on road, and significantly smoother offroad. I also like the adjustability of the shocks for ride comfort. The only thing I don't like is how "clicky" and noisy the rear bypass shocks are, but I'm sure I'll get used to it over time.

A Jeep is a lot of fun on the trails and very capable. But you're right, I would never buy one to DD. I love the Raptor too much!

How are the Fox 3.0’s riding? Are they stiffer than stock?

Are those fox 3.0 compatible with the 19/20 live valve software in the truck? Or do you get error codes?
You can do a live valve delete, or they make Fox 3.0 Live Valves for the 19/20 which would be the better move.
