    You have the best review/description of these Behringer Eurorack modules on the TH-cams.
    Thanks for making and sharing.

    Bought the lot and 3 of the VCOs. Very powerful and expressive synth, super filter modules

    Great overview. I bought the FultAmp a while back because it was cheap 😀 Interested in the 2500 so great to see your series. It's a shame Behringer don't spend a few more pennies and screw the sockets to the faceplate. The joints will give sooner or later. But full marks for producing affordable modules in a field where "modular" and "cheap" never appear in the same sentence 😀

    I only have 2 of these modules and 2 on pre order. Thank you for your videos. You especially helped me with the CVA and CVB on the 1005 module. Much appreciated.

    I have the enrtire 100 series, I’m going to do the 2500 just because it’s so inexpensive compared to all those modules! It sounds great!

    its such a great machine that somehow became overlooked and overshadowed by the much inferiour 2600. behringer did a good job on this.

    • @jaysshittyvideos3039
      @jaysshittyvideos3039 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I mean, the 2600 was made to be portable, affordable and used on stage, some sacrifices had to be made over full modular system.

    great review. they sound amazing. I have not gotten independent modules yet, but have a few synths with lots of cv such as the Behringer 2600, the soma pulsar 23 and the matrixbrute and Dave smith pro 2 have cv in and outs as well, and I have been patching them all together, but want to get into a real modular set up. you review has helped a lot in considering it all. thanks.

    After listening to Radique’s Trilogie I impulsively bought two 1004’s. The FiltAmp seems like the right connection point for the two, plus adding 2 envelope generators, but I really think I want to go with the 1047 filter. The 1005 works with two OSCs, but not really a mixer. But could I just connect the envelopes to the 1047 and 1005? Is there a more logical route through a 100 piece? Thx.

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 1047 has only one audio input, the FiltAmp has two with attenuators, so it's also an audio mixer. The 1005 can't mix without the ring modulation going on, so very different to a "normal" mixer. For an audio mixer you could go big and use the 1050, or the smaller 297 from the 100 series. Also, if not fixed to Behringer, have a look at the Doepfer mixers.

      @@synthesizer83 Thanks. I’m limiting myself to 5 modules (or whatever fits on the Behringer 19” rack) to get that “2500” sound. (Attached to a Moog Matriarch.)

    How would you compare the sound of the 2500 vs 2600/odyssey?

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't try to compare them, the concepts are just too different. I played the 2600 only once, some time ago, so I can't really judge about it. The Odyssey (I have the Korg one) seems to be a bit more "balanced". The 2500 feels more experimental, with lots of "happy glitches".

      @@synthesizer83 I think I prefer the arguably more ‘raw’, ‘wilder’ sound of the 2500 modules … 🤔

    Would it be possibly to modify the jacks to not apply as much pressure to the internals?

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sure, when you're into soldering SMD and really want it. Otherwise, considered the price, I would not touch it. The jacks have no thread by the way, so no chance of mounting them to the frontplate in some way.

    "Perhaps it's not the perfect series to start with modular"
    Oops... LOL
    I've been expanding my 2500 collection with DIY kits that I've been building here and there. Planning on getting a Maths once more ship to distributors. Still waiting on the 2500 sequencer as well as the mixer, which will complete the set for me :)

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess if you're doing DIY, you have some sort of understanding what goes on in a modular setup, and then the Arp modules are a great source of inspiration... These sequencers are really interresting, will definetely try to get them (well, 2023 or so, with these insane backorders...)

    • @seansnyder7744

      @@synthesizer83 When you mentioned Tim having acquired a sequencer already, were you referring to the prototype unit he has in the video you linked? Or did he get his hands on a first batch of shipped units? If it's the latter I'm going to heckle him about posting a video review on the sequencer asap haha.

I am using the 'Behringer,dual #112- oscillators' with these modules'! I will get the '2500'-oscillator,if they ever get here? : )
