The game and especially art ages so well, that IMHO the "reforged" WC3 is going to harm it instead of doing it any good. They should have facelifted this version of the game even more and then release new stuff to it.

Streamers probably make more money than pro players. The prize pools are pretty small because WC3 isn't that popular. Moon, the most successful WC3 player ever, only has about $500k in career prize money in about 15 years. That's probably why some former elite players like Grubby (who can obviously get back to the pro level if he wants) makes his living off WC3 as a streamer rather than a "pro". The thing that sucks is there really isn't much incentive for Happy to continue doing international tournaments. He proved he can beat the best of the best and he'll almost certainly get more viewers on his stream after this. Maybe Reforged will bring bigger tournaments with more prized money.

More unfair is imba orc > undead for 10 years.... causing undead players all to go retired or change races... still imba....

@@seancascanet3428 the double elimination is fair enough because it decreases variance that strongest player has bad luck for item drop or get 1 specific opponent which is not suitable for his strategy, map or race to play against.

Congratulations to Happy for one of the most historical performances in Warcraft III History. A big thank you to everyone keeping this scene alive, Back2Warcraft for igniting back this fire and props to all the old school legends. Happy said on his stream today that he didn't see those 3 wisps. However, he suspected AP push, because he saw Moon's tier 1 and didn't see his expansion, so there was no other option. And then he scouted Moon's second AoW.

UN vs NE is so beatiful ! Low repetitiveness, high variety of units, smart scouting, macro, expansions and epic micro from both sides ! LawLiet, Happy, Moon, 120 - all of them were amazing in this tournament ! And still, huge hopes for Blizzard to make even more strategies viable in Reforged !
I love a NE Vs UN, but a Human Vs Orc will always be classic quintessential Warcraft game. Those two races are meant to fight each other.
@@shivasrinivasan80 To an extent, so are NE vs UD. In fact the main campaign even states that night elves once defeated the Burning Legion before and so the Undead were created to help the burning legion.
My two favorite races: UN & NE. But Orc was also fun. OTOH, I struggled playing human. I hven't played this game in a decade...
Hope for Reforged? This didn't age well...
For months, I kept telling everyone on this very channel that Happy is amazing, Happy is the best UD in history, that if Happy goes to an offline tournament, he can beat everyone. But no one, NO ONE believed me, everyone said Happy was way weaker than the Asians, that he is only a king in Europe. They said," Happy is just a streamer" Even Happy himself said the same thing.
Now, kneel before the king. Bow to the UD king, to the WC3 king, not the King of Europe but the King of the World. As an Undead player, this is one of the most emotional moments of my life.
Happy, thank you for being so dedicated and being such an amazing player and person. Thank you for showing me and everyone else how it's done, that UD can do it, too. That everything is possible. Congratulations my friend. CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!

I was an Orc player, but clearly UD race has the most charm and magic, nothing can replace coilnova. I was so tired of seeing NE non stop, now I am proud that Undead got them all beaten. Make Undead great again !

Happy is definitely the best in the world. He beat all the greatest: Lyn, Lawliet, Focus, TH000... Moon was the final boss, and he got him too. There can be no doubt anymore.
GOOD OLDSCHOOL players ALWAYS knew that... with that 98% battlenet... to many nubs today that knows shit....
only problem is that happy didnt scout for expos....and enemy strat... undead cant to that...

@@dariusus9870 That's how tournaments go. It is fine to drop something in the first half, if you can recover. It happened to all the other great players at some point, to lose in the bracket phase and then winning the tournament, and nobody has questioned them.
The single elimination round is what matters the most, and the players know this. It is not unfair. They know what they can afford to lose and when, and when they can't. Their mindset is set on this.
@@guf323 Also, bo3 is unfair to set the best one...bo5 is minimum.... thats why there is second chance...most maps are bad for undead... since all of then nowadays have easy expo creeps...

He can buy rod of necromancy in the mid phase of the game just for scouting purposes, or to use a destroyer, or alcolyte, ghoul.... but whatever he decides for it is still better than going across the map 2 times looking for opponent or to get creep-jacked or to miss expos.

I always wanted Happy on this big tournaments, because always knew he is one level above of EVERYONE. I became very sad when he got banned from major tournaments, but gladly got back to the big stages to show what I always knew. He is simple the best, by far. And I'm not an undead player or Happy fan boy, this is just a fact.

This mach was insane!! Well played by both and very good final of the tournament! Moon last game micro was out of this world! This fight in the middle of the map... no words! All games were so close. So many hero risks by Happy saving them with tp or invu! In general this tournament was great. Superb games also by Chaemico, Th, Sok, Focus, 120...
agree , all great games , if I had to choose best game of the tournament I would definitely pick set 2 of Happy vs Focus on the lowerbracket ( the 30 min game on Concealed Hill )!

Very well deserved indeed! As Moon fan I feel also little sorry for him but I guess he may still be fine as he proved to his fan to be once again a hell of a player and only be second to happy who this time was really untouchable ( Craziest Micro ever seen ) .E ven if Moon is the oldest legend he still playing this game showing immense dedication and passion keeping his results very high and almost every time reaching the Grand Final. I really wish the best of luck to him and would be a very nice outcome if he could win next WCG as its one of the few Major title he never won despite being at Grand Final twice XD

Emotions were so much bigger than during football World Cup, I am dead serious, haven't seen anything like that before. I thought that after so many years this game has been already solved, but the skill level of Moon and of course Happy, was just absolutely beyond unreal.

Old guard and new guard fighting. Really good to see Happy (UD) winning this (even though I wanted to see an Orc in the finals... when was the last time?!?). What will be interesting to see is if Happy can continue this momentum and win more tournaments. Really good stuff though and can't wait to see all the old pros and newcomers shaking up the scene. It brought me (and I know others) back into playing this game again. Still so amazing!
