  • Doug Christie has turned around the Sacramento Kings and they are once again a scary good team. Now the question of should the Kings trade De'Aaron Fox or Domantas Sabonis still seems like a terrible idea considering how good Fox and Sabonis have been for the team over the years.

Doug got the players playing like the Adelman era.

Sasha Vezenkov was an interesting case study. He came over and was promised a significant role by McNair and Brown, both. Not only did Brown bench him but he did nothing to help Vezenkov gain the confidence necessary to get into the rotation and contribute.
Now he's back dominating in Europe again, and never even got a chance to show what he can do here

That was a head scratcher. Mike traveled all the way to Europe to scout Sasha. When they made him an offer I thought great, we are getting a Euro all star, and then he sits on the bench. Quite perplexing.

@@eventtrading And, according to Sasha, Brown never even communicated the reasons why or what was expected of him. Brown over-coached but under communicated. Doug seems the opposite. Painful that Kings could have gotten a prime Bojan Bogdanovic type player who's also a pretty good rebounder. Meanwhile we got to watch Kevin Huerter's bricks all season long.

Bro trust me as a life long kings fan brown fell from grace quick. He’s not head coach material, everybody loves Mike brown the guy he’s nice and he’s positive but dude sucks at rotations and bare minimum not starting Keon Ellis all season after what he did last season raising our defense to top ten in the league. Literally unforgivable the kings should be sitting at like the 5th seed minimum with the talent we have on our squad. Mike brown is that bad no doubt

Coach of the Year, Mike Brown is beloved by the NBA coaches and media. Kings fans know that he lost in the first round, failed to make to the playoffs the next season, failed to win a game in the Cup and chased out Sasha back to the Euroleague. The team and fans know the real Mike Brown. He’s not that good.

Kings fan here 👋🏾 This is probably, in media, the most accurate analysis of what’s goin on in Sacramento. The major difference between Mike Brown and Doug is that Doug played in the NBA. The team plays more free, better rotations, but not much else has changed in terms of team goals. Doug is just the better leader for this group of players.

I see them pushing the ball more and not walking the ball up. They are also looking for the quick outlet.

Brown was making them do super long intense practices even when on back to backs etc .. players now saying Doug understands letting them chill and do short light practices to save legs for games .

Kings were MASSIVELY underperforming all season long and even last season at times. Not to say I knew it would be Doug that got the ship righted but I figured at some point things would pick up. Only reason you trade a superstar talent you drafted and developed in Fox is if he makes it clear he wouldn't re-sign at the end of next season because the team isn't doing good enough or he's worried about the Kangz instability he has seen his entire career.
Kings should have been 5-6 seed last season and would've been if Monk didn't go down, and they should be the same this season with potential to make some noise in the playoffs. Need a Cam Johnson John Collins idk wing depth and another backup center to have Len be third off bench at the 5

Uhh they’re actually playing and competing on defense now and they’re rebounding extremely well including hitting the offensive glass hard. The switch has flipped as I went to a game a few weeks ago where they got booed off the court at home before Brown was let go. When those things happen somethings gotta change, this team looks totally different now but can they keep it up?

  • @adrianpillai6645

There is only one coach any organization in the NBA would keep over a star player, and that is Gregg Popovich.
I think it speaks volumes that 1) the Kings players by having a less complex offensive and defensive playbook, plus less practice before games are actually playing better. So, is Mike Brown's playbook really that good, and was he forcing all that extra practice to learn it worth it?
And 2) ownership is willing to pay off millions (Brown was extended to a 3 year contract over the summer), just to get rid of him. Thats not player power. Thats ownership thinking, i rather lose millions, because he's costing us much more. The Kings need to be a fun team to watch. Its their best path to success, and it is the only way they get on TV as a small market team. Brown was sucking the fun out of the team, so he had to go.

Life long kings fan here….mike brown was good but he always seemed like he was the smartest person in the room…he had a way of being that guy saying “told ya so” when we lost and also when we won….players dont respond well to that regardless of your resume…players like coaches that played…. simple as that…

  • @eventtrading
    @eventtrading 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

Yes, the Kings seem to play better w/o Fox. No denying he's a super star. What's the solution? It comes from management and coaching. How to blend super stars, like Fox and DeRozen into your lineup and keep them all happy. That's the challenge and that's what coaches are for. The Kings have shown they can be as good as anyone and it may yet happen.

Ah come on Brown lost his offensive coach last season.. Plus brown was not a defensive coach so no loss. Christie is a defender.. plus the pass offense from the old Princeton offense coach that began in Sac not SF. All the pieces are here just coach plus a surprising rookie.. Best ball movement and defense.. Lastly it’s fox who does not want to sign an extension.. not mgt.. So fox wants out.. wake up folks this is a great team with a great rebounder..Sabonis..

That's the most uneducated thing you will ever say. Carter isn't dropping 26-27 a game with ease and average 1.6+ steals a game while being one of the best on ball defenders out of all the stars in the league. Fox is a rare talent that hustles, Carter is strictly a hustle role player.

Get out with this baseless crap. We are on a 7 game win streak, FOUR of them had Fox... We literally lose against Bulls if Fox wasn't there. We been playing shorthanded teams and most teams without dominant guards. Monk played well above his average. Keegan came back when Fox went out and for the first time this season can MAKE THREES and is doing so over 54% but doubt that has anything to do with the wins. Carter is a rookie and making him your starting PG (he's more a combo guard) is like waving the white flag so yeah if y'all ready for another rebuild let's trade Fox and then Domas and DeMar will want out immediately afterwards. Us Kings fans are done being bad, so NO
