Massive PWM is what the SID is all about! I've tried to simulate it on my Korg Ms2000 and can't because it retriggers on every note :( This is an amazing effort, thank you! Just never forget that the best C64 musicians had to be programmers too!
The good old C64 sid rocks still after 35 years ;-)! I got one in 1986 and sold it in 1988 :-(! I wonder what happended to my C64 and Floppy Disc Drive 1541 with Speeddos+? Is he still alive?
you can controll the ms2000 via midi, OR by hand. I've done this kind of effect with my microkorg(same thing pretty much) I used it for my guiles theme remix
never underestimate the Opl-1 Fm synth (YM3526, OPL1) the 8-bit computer master races chiptunes. of zxspectrum Amstrad cpc and msx and commedore 64 also as well.
Awesome! My coding skills are firmly in the 16-bit era I'm afraid (68000) and I've always been an Atari supporter... I like the sound of POKEY better than SID even though it's limited to square waves and polynomial noise... 4 channels though! I'm somewhat active in the Atari scene but I've got C64s and Amigas as well... I love pushing and testing the limits of these old machines. Do you know the work of Viznut / PWP?
smilingme123 (FlashingYoshi) Wow. That's awesome! I love it when a demake is running on original hardware. It's so authentic. (Obvious, but you know what I mean.)
Surely It must be more then just you and me using CT ;). Well agree, taste is a highly subjective matter. on another note I have stop using CT and started use SID wiz. I think the player in CT tunes takes to much space and the patterns while in the editor eats to much ram.
Ah I see, and understand I tried SDI a while ago and also lost my patience :) It´s however a bit sad that you won´t chare any cybertracker song, I could have learned something :)
no I can not code so that grafix and sidsound sync at all. so the vid is super fake, as many of my other videos are (in terms of the video, when they are suppose to give the impresison of a demo)
yay. I'm gonna make you famous, buddy; one day. -subscribed I use fl studio and a bunch of hardware synths for all my stuff, though i've messed with trackers before. I sent you a message
I strongly recommend Goat Tracker 2.xx / Cheesecutter if You opt for native-pc editor or Sid Duzz It if You don't mind launching emulation in Vice 64. Cybertracker is not the best weapon of choice nowadays ;) Greetz! Jammer/Exon/MSL/Samar
Ahaa so you are some kind of bigshot then! I guess that you atleast are a scene musician then, may I ask you what (in your opinion) is the best tracker (considering raster timings, player and pattern size). I most recently been recommended to switch to SID Duzz'it above goattracker and SID Wizzard. and yea I agree it turned out quite raw, a bit fast and to wide pwm'ing maybe but I think that nothing can really sound average on a sid :)
Very true. Unfortunately, it's because most 8-bit remixes are done by American kids who grew up with the Gameboy or NES and don't know about the C64. Sad but true.
AWESOME, I was deploring the fact that most 8-bit remixes were in fact NES remixes and not enough C64
Juste un message pour que tu te rappelles que cette perle existe😉
C64 or BUST!!! ;) I love how the SID chip sounds.
Respect for using C64 & Cybertracker. Keep supporting real hardware and software done for it! Nice version!
There is a lot of nostalgia in this. Reminds me of being a little kid with my Gameboy Color
Every blip, every bleep, every stop, every reverb, every variation, is handcrafted in heaven.
This actually sound like some game intro by Jeroen Tel.
Absolutely awesome!
Still awesome :)
Still awesome :)

the 30 people who disliked are not up all night to get lucky.
3 years later : 31 people now :(
Thank you for keeping the old SID II (and more) alive
Damn, you're really good at this! This sounds like BGM made by Follin Bros or Rob Hubbard!
Excellent version haha. Love the bendy synth effects. :)

Great stuff ;)
omg that part from 2:10 :goosebumps:
This is awesome!!!!!!!!
famitracker is the most available 8 bit tracker for pc while as most c64 trackers require emulation or pc-built-in c64 sound chips.
We're up all night to beep beep boop

It's very great
I love it
its a tracker i would never use because it doesnt have a straightforward windows interface. i generally dont like programs that run on dos
Wait... is this ACTUALLY running on a C64?!?!?!
"If requested I can extract the SID from cybertracker" Yes it is.
Congrats on this btw, the C64 is an ass to work with but it sounds so good
smilingme123 (FlashingYoshi)

Swaggless Indeed, especially with chips like the C64. It sounds so _good_ and you know that it was a pain in the ass to make.
smilingme123 (FlashingYoshi)
I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree! :D
Yep! Multiplexing is the entire reason more complex songs on the C64 are possible.
wow! great! :D
nice music
