Thank you! My husband is a wonderful man who probably knows how to fix this but does not care that my cabinets are not as I prefer them. His answer to me is that he does not know how to fix my cabinets. So, I would like to thank your wife too! Not only have you taught me to fix this myself, but you are very nice to learn from! enjoy your day!
WOW. This video really takes the mystery out of these complicated hinges. After watching, I was able to expertly adjust my sagging hinges in minutes. Extremely helpful. Thank you!
It appears like it might be helpful. I have to save it for another day because if I don't the person who assigned me this task may not make another day😡
Thank you❤ I am rubbish at anything that needs fixing or repairs around the house. My door opened the opposite to yours, but now it closes smoothly, and the gap at the top is not flush, but I'm happy with it. Initially, I thought it was the screws that attach the bracket to the door and didn't realise their were adjustment screws. Thanks Nick
Well, my skew corner cupboard that I've tried to correct since moving into our new house 3 years ago, is now hanging sweet!!! Thx Kent...you seem to know what needs doing in my house and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the time you take to produce these really informative DIY hints & fixes. Thx from your mate across the ditch.
Hey there! Thank you for this video. We have been going at it trying to get rid of the "sagging" we've got going on with our lazy susan. You touched on everything we needed to fix. It's all about taking the time (and patience) to mess with the hardware and screws. Thanks again!
You're a genius. You explained that so well and showed the movement of the door as well (I wouldn't have got it without seeing the door movement), that I fixed my door while waiting for dinner to cook!!! FYI when adjusting door 1 to stop the sag in door 2, I had to screw in the opposite direction. Thank you so much.
This is a brilliant video. I have these corner cupboards in my kitchen and I hate them, but watching this has given me hope that I can fix them. Thank you
Thanks for the tip👍 worked a treat on my corner cupboard after i had the same sagging issue. May I suggest you countersink your door handle screws to avoid the 2 scratches you seem to have from the handle screws rubbing on the door when closing😎
Love this video - but doesn't tell me how to solve the door not closing fully - remains ajar unless I give it a little push to close it. Could it be worn hinges?
Hey Elton, your on the money mate👌 Can I suggest oversize screws too when you replace the hinges unless the original ones are tiptop. Best of luck. Kent
Hello 👋 i have a quick question...how can i fix the cabinet door of my lazy susan? The top corner of the door hits the outside of the cabinet and im not able to close it. Thank you in advance 😊
Thank you so much for this video. Was wondering what hinges are being used to connect the door cabinet doors to each other? I like these better than the ones I found. Do you have a description or a link for them? Thanks again for the great education
Hey Chris, sorry for the late reply bud - if you haven’t already sorted your hinges there are links in the description of this video. Where in the world are you and I’ll hook you up with the right ones? Cheers, Kent
Hey Sara, If is can't be remedied by using the tips in the video then it may mean you have worn out or broken hinges.. they do fail from time to time. best of luck, Kent
Hello sir. Very interesting information. Bright young man. So I have American Wood Works corner Lazy Susan bottom corner door. I have to push door number two by the knob to try and get it closed. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Hey Chris, it’s really tricky without seeing it💁🏻♂️ is door2 hitting the cupboards next to it, or is the door hanging open rather than seating back flat?
It might be that the 2 cupboards are binding/pressed against each other when shut💁🏻♂️ have a play with the hinge adjustments one at a time, a smart bloke like you should nut it out👌 best of luck mate
Hey Kent, great video, but my door is still out of line. It appears that the bottom hinge is out of adjustment, it won’t turn anymore. These cupboards are new, well three weeks since installation, is there any trick to get more adjustment. Cheers Steve
Hey mate, yeah the latter …I think it’s called 165 or 170 degree, there is a Blum catalogue in the description of this video for you to cross reference 👍Kent
Yeah good point PJL. The downstairs kitchenette has a 'piano hinge' on the corner cupboard and it's never needed adjusting, I hope it stays that way because I don't know how to anyways! Cheers, Kent
Good overview... but that scratched up cabinet door next to the corner cabinet drives me nuts. A major downfall of those corner doors and I see it all the time. Put a few strategic quality rubber bumpers on the insides of the corner cabinet doors to stop it from happening.
Yeah I agree mate, I put some felt furniture feet things over the screws from the culprit handle.. doesn’t fix the damage done though 🤔 good on you mate. Kent
Hey Goldbrick, I hear you mate.. it’s pretty impractical🤔 the lazy Susan has never been common in Australia and New Zealand for some reason.. maybe we are just slower down here! 😉Kent
@@InspireDIY interesting, i live in the u.s. right now and have one of these in an apt i'm leasing lmao. Maybe the carpenters were australian. I'd never seen it before. My 2 medal pieces separated from each other and cabinet door came off. I got the top one hooked together but the bottom will not
You need to countersink screws on lazy Suzanne door handle so it will not scratch other door.
