      That character's boots are supremely annoying to anyone watching who is really from Texas. The shafts of the boots were so floppy that they stuck out from the pants. I don't care how depressed a Texas man gets or how much he doesn't give a shit, none of us would wear boots like that. It's also irritating that they think we would buy into the LAPD allowing him to dress like that or not have a holster for his gun. Good riddance to that show.

      @@SeanTownsendStormrider agreed 100% the way he wore them is weird, wearing them over the pants like some ranch hand, and about wearing his gun without a holster... dont even get me started.

    Here’s my review after 2 years of wear. The outside is good quality. They are comfort or able for 3 months. After that the inside falls apart, I never liked the shaft of the boot I prefer a harder one. The broke in well. Soles wore fast and the insole is cardboard that cAme out when I got in water. All in all if you could get them for less than a hundred then I’d recommend but not for the original price. They lasted 2 years so I can’t complain but I did have issues.

      I could say the opposite for my experience with em, I’ve had them for about a year and they’ve held up 100% but the outside leather has gotten so wrinkled and torn up, inside is still like new. My problem is that they fit a lot looser than I remember them being when I bought them, I wish I would’ve gotten a 1/2 size smaller

    I bought a pair from Cavender's. They didn't come nicely packaged like ones in the video. The box was smashed and there wasn't any kind of cardboard on the inside. Basically the boots thrown in the box. The boots are really cool looking, great color i was disappointed to see they were glued. For me used to new balance shoes they are hard (of course) but comfortable enough. Looking forward to getting them broken in. Like i said they are very cool looking through.

    Hi there, again in my opinion, a boot that’s basically a leather upper golosh or rubber boot, I honestly feel they are cheap and according to retailers here in Australia, difficult to repair. One sales person in our local saddlery store said, the boots need to be sent overseas for repairs, so it’s a throw away product here. The price point is way over the top in Australia with a quick google search showing the ankle boot at over $230 and the full size boot shown here listed on one site at $429. In my opinion, like a lot of products today, it’s high price with high turnover, using clever marketing to brand and create the demand. Reviews show positive results here in Australia, but I wonder how many are actually wearing the product for show over genuine work conditions, a trip down to the local coffee joint, doesn’t match up to the rigours of farm work. Thanks Jeremiah you are doing awesome.

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would love to buy a pair, but they never have them in black. Does anyone know of the company makes them in black?

    Howdy there, Jeremiah. Have you since seen, or tried on, the midtown ramblers? If so, are there any noticeable differences?

      Hey Jeffery, I haven't tried the midtown rambler but I have tried the Booker which is similar and based off of the Midtown Rambler - th-cam.com/video/cwZHnkqewDs/w-d-xo.html

      @@JeremiahCraig Thanks for including this video. That's interesting, there seems to be some cross-branding going on here. The midtown is advertised as having the ATS insole, which the rambler has but the booker does not. These are my first pair of cowboy boots, or really any boot for that matter outside of winter boots. They were really comfortable right from the get-go, in fact the salesman actually fitted an instep to make it a tighter fit saying that if it's loose out of the box, it'll only stretch more as you break them in. When I saw the model "midtown rambler" I recognized the name, having seen your review of the regular rambler as well as the traditional Ariat ropers while I was doing research. The square toe was a pleasant surprise too, if you'd asked me before hand I would've said no; all I've worn is round.

    I got those boots and love them but they're pretty hard to break them especially from my left instep but they've getting there.

    If you want some really nice distressed boots. Find some Justin Shawnees. Way better fitting, looking, and will last longer.

    Not glued together, it's a good year welt which means it was burned together, very difficult than plain glue. Dr martens do that too

    My Ramblers fit a bit odd. Right boot is fine, left boot is tight through the mid foot. Really want to love them, but I really don’t.

    Feel free to correct me, I am new to western style boots & looking for my first set of boots. These are ropers, and not cowboy boots, correct? The difference being the shorter, flatter heel and shorter shaft.

    ARIAT is at the bottom of my boot buying list. There is so much better boots out there for the same or less money. There must be some good margins and terms on the retail side from ARIAT because most western stores are flooded with them and it’s not due to being the best quality or lowest priced.

      They are one of the most popular brands for sure and it's super interesting to me how people either love them or hate them. I'm intrigued by how much expanding they've been doing. Now with Mexican made lines and even US made boots too

    • @bowtieguy6870
      @bowtieguy6870 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I looked at a pair of their Mexican made full quill ostrich a couple weeks back and they were nice but I just didn’t care for the overall shape of the boot. I actually have some of their jeans and like them. I think they are made in Mexico. Love the channel! Keep up the good work.

    Do you think the stiffness is the sole or the leather? I personally don’t mind a boot that takes some time to break in, as long as I know the leather is quality and nice and thick and will last me for a good while, the Ariat Ramblers are definitely a great shit kicker boot, i love to have a pair of these!!

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The leather definitely. The sole is 👌

      Moses Miller the insole on mine was cardboard not leather. The leather was decent with scratches and scuffs. Personally I wouldn’t reccomend. These were my 1st pair and they weren’t great. I have em for 2 years so that’s good

    Can these boots be re-soul? I know might be a stupid question.

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not a stupid question at all. I don't believe these can be resoled. The only place that would do it would be an official Ariat resoling facility but honestly I don't think it'd be worth it. What it would cost for a resole you'd be better off just buying a new pair at their price point

    My experience with the rambler boots is that they are an odd fit, even for a wide square toe. I will say that my sedonas and ropers from ariat fit much better and are of much better quality imo.

    Are these boots comfortable for a 12 hour day on your feet?

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not at first. It would take a while in the break in process before they reached a level where I would be comfortable wearing them for 12 hours straight

    I’m looking to get my first pair of boots. I love the style of these boots but it looks like they would be a bit rough on my feet, especially for someone who is not used to wearing boots. Are there other brands that carry a similar style?
