  • My buddy just picked up this brand new 2023 Tesla Model S in Ultra Red. The color looks amazing in person and the car overall feels solid. The interior build quality feels good, and I wish I had a bunch of features the S has in my Model Y.

    The Model S is by far the best looking Tesla. The refresh is still beautiful and sleek.

    I just sold my late 2021 MYP and bought my 2023 Model S long range in the ultra red color a month ago and I love it. I filled it up to 100% or 405 miles today for the first time and drove it about 185 miles round-trip and I still had 65% when I arrived back home. On my MYP, I was usually around 27%. This car has a lot of power and in insane mode, I got between 2.8 and 2.9 in 0 to 60. The suspension and the interior finishings of this car is really noticeable. Tell your friend to add mudd flaps and raise the ppf on the rear wheel wells to protect the paint.

      Hi how much is the insurance on yours? That is the only one holding me back. I am in california which is outrageous

      @mackyc8120 I am in Southern California and the long range is considered a super car and it cost me 400 more per year than my 2021 Model Y Performance. The cheapest was connect insurance through Costco

      Mud flaps in the front or rear as well. Or on both front and back?

    • @tmorcos21
      @tmorcos21 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Fumbiii16 I did both for a better look and to prevent rocks from shooting from my car to cars behind me. The front is the most important placement. The ones I ordered came in 4 pieces

      Hmmm...this is a good to know. I have a 2023 MYP but wish it had an air suspension like the model s and x.

    I am considering this Model S very seriously. It was out of my reach a year ago, but now, at this price point, it is more reachable.

    I almost got a the red. Being it’s my daily I got a 2023 in the silver grey metallic which they don’t make that color anymore. I put some forged staggered 20s. 20x10 front with 285/35s and 20x10.5 rear with 305/35s. It’s a awesome car and quality has changed drastically for 2023

    Didn't know the 19s were staggered, are the wheels the same or are they staggered in size too? I dumped the 21" UT on my MYP and replaced them with some 18s from TSportLine in a 245/50 on all four corners and love the change. The MPY rides better, is faster and more efficient and I no longer fear potholes/curbs and I can rotate them. Plus they are cheaper to replace.

    Good job hoss. Very thorough. Exactly how I would have done it. Should have driven it and shown off the ride. Looks fast sitting still. I’m in love with this exact model and color. Not a plaid fan and everything I’ve heard about the X has scared me off. This is the car to get.
    The RED,MODEL S LONG RANGE!!!!
    Everyone I’ve shown the car to has been mesmerized by it. It’s just the perfect car.

    It’s hard to believe the Model S luxury sedan is going on 12-years already. It had a drivetrain and minor refresh in 2021 and it still looks great.

    I have a 2023 Black MYP and because of the lack of adjustability on the suspension like you can with the Model S I am thinking about getting one. I am getting a model S today for an overnight test drive. I think the new red looks awesome on the Model S as well. I don't the red on the Y as it makes it look a little juvenile.

    • @Uptownv
      @Uptownv 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      MYP suspension was hurting my back. I turned it in and leased a MSLR. The suspension is butter smooth. It hugs the ground while floating elegantly. No more pain.

    • @Rogan.Richeart
      @Rogan.Richeart 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Uptownv changing the tires on mine as I type. It should reduce the harshness over bumps and potholes. If it does then I will research aftermarket suspension options that allow me to stiffen the suspension. As it allow track mode to change the dampening force.

    I just test drove one and the turn signals are absolutely horrible. The car missed half of my attempts to signal which is incredibly dangerous. The rest of the car is nice enough compared to our Model Y, but honestly not amazingly so. The ride was still Tesla-busy even in comfort mode and there was still a ton of road noise.

      I'm thinking of printing your comment on a little card that I can read daily. Always wanted an S but upgrading from my 21 Model 3 makes no sense whatsoever. Reading your comment is helpful!

    I’m happy with my minimalist interior in my 2023 Model 3, but if I was buying a luxury car, I’d expect more interior appointments. For example massaging seats, more screen space. I’m not talking gaudy, but finer appointments.

    Nice overview. I have been considering a Model S long range but I hear there are a lot of creaks and strange noises in a lot of the model S vehicles. Would be cool if you can go over that in your next more detailed review of the model S. Subscribed.

      I just leased a 2023 and I will tell you there are no rattles or squeaks. The new ones are very well built. My model y felt like a bucket compared to this one.

    Beautiful car but a cramped interior/posture. Hated that in my 2014 MS and it's still cramped (drove a 2023 Plaid around for an afternoon and banged my head into that low roof line a few times)

    Wrong: only performance model y has tires different between front and back, any other that performance has same tires sizes in 4 wheels.

    It seems like everyone that reviews a Tesla nomatter what model everyone spends 75% of the time talking about the friken screen and were the personal information is going to end up. I'm thinking about buying one but each year it has more screen control than the year before. It seems like nobody wants to talk about the build quality or the figures of performance. It's always different. Plainly put its hard to believe any of you guys.
