    Yngwie is a magnificent musician and here he is with one of his idols, he was a great fan of Deep Purple and specially of Richie Blackmore.

    Yngwie totally admires this guy -- Deep Purple Fireball (1971) stunned Yngwie as a kid and he started listening to Purple quite regularly after that, molding his stylings off Ritchie Blackmore... which did not turn out to be a bad thing for him -- Yngwie is a powerful guitarist in his own right.

    So cool Yngwie is influenced by Purple,plays on stage with Gillan,then Gillan say ,"I don't think I can afford Yngwie actually"
    I've seen Blackmore live ,by the way.He ALWAYS plays with a SLIDE to play his very lyrical melodies ,i've never once seen Yngwie use a slide at all ,i've seen him many times Uli Roth has a strong Blackmore influence in his ballads .Uli plays all the semi tones and uses the Diminished and Asymetrical scales with all the modes and is the SKY Guitar 's MASTER!

    • @metamorphosis67
      @metamorphosis67 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Shred Sixsixsix Blackmore I can take or leave. Sometimes he's impressive, most of the time he's annoying. The main reason I liked Purple was the great vocalists, especially Gillan, who sang like real men, or at least didn't sound like prison bitches being raped like Robert Plant often does (Zep's manliest songs are "Immigrant Song" and "Achilles Last Stand"). I don't like Yngwie's blow-your-wad-in-every-song style at all. When I was immature & just a high school kid I did, but not anymore. Uli Jon Roth though is a great player that I can still listen to 30 years later. He is the real master of the neo-classical heavy metal guitar, not Yngwie.

    Joe Satriani and Steve Morse are two phenominal guitarists with their own unique style. But I never though they realy gelled with the Deep Purple sound. I think Ymgwie would have been the best replacement. But his excuse was that he couldnt imagine DP without Blackmore. And I totaly agree. But I still think Yngwie would have been the best choice. And that realy would have saved the band.

      If he played like he did in the Alcatrazz era it would have been incredible. He was a bit reserved back then - and I like that era of Yngwie.

    • @metamorphosis67
      @metamorphosis67 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +carolyn waltz Alcohol is maybe the worst drug of all. That's why it's legal everywhere. Because the people in power want the general public to kill themselves in a puddle of their own piss and vomit which is what most alcoholics turn into. They also kill other people and themselves in drunk-driving car accidents. The only good thing about alcohol is that it's socially acceptable in Jew-on-a-stick-worshipping countries & people can kill themselves openly in front of their families without too much complaint. What most brainwashed morons out there don't know is that heroin and morphine are actually safer and less damaging than heavy alcohol use as long as you know the exact quality & strength of dose you're getting from a doctor. Unfortunately since it's illegal, addicts have to go risk getting a hot-dose that makes them overdose & die from slimy street dealers. Crystal Meth is pretty bad for you but, bizarrely enough, I've personally seen it cure some schizophrenics and bipolar people overnight. It usually tends to turn them into obnoxious assholes, but it does cure them from the bipolar symptoms as well as the legal drugs which also have terrible side effects.

    • @shredsixsixsix9218
      @shredsixsixsix9218 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      metamorphosis67 You are absolutely right . I have been alcohol free for over 4 years . Nutrition has a lot to do with it .I started out with a high tolerance ,then i needed cocaine to keep me drinking all night .Eventually my nerves were shot and i had to cut it out .It took about 20 years to realize . I read a book called "Sober and Staying that way" sometimes i get stressed and want to be an addict again .But i can 't ,everyone will know ,and i will get my ass kicked

    For the record and to settle these silly arguments from the ignorant dumbasses who don't read any kind of literature between video games and MTV, I heard Rising Force the year it was released, and in subsequent interviews in various guitar mags, Yngwie always mentions Blackmore as an influence. Always. For years, every time he was asked: Blackmore and Paganini. There's no second guessing or debate; it was Blackmore and Paganini, the 18th century violin virtuoso. And I saw Gillan rubbing his nose, but I doubt he did any lines, and if he did, it was very, very rare and probably never, but this may have been an exception. He had great willpower to maintain his range all those years, and smoking and drinking are not a benefit by any means to vocal longevity. Natural, God-given talent.

    • @metamorphosis67
      @metamorphosis67 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +rafro007 What are you talking about? Everybody knows Gillan had a heavy drinking problem for most of his life and only a few years ago got sober. And if you think he was a "god given" talent only, you haven't heard how shitty his pre-Deep-Purple bands were. Nope, he had good singing teachers and he worked hard to become the Gillan of 1969 who joined Purple and then was lead in Jesus Christ Superstar. That's why he knows exactly how to sing to not damage his voice.

    • @Martsapso21
      @Martsapso21 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@metamorphosis67 No one taught him how to sing, he did work hard, but lots of people work even harder and get nowhere because they don't have enough talent. And Mr. Universe from 1968 isn't exactly my definition of shitty, especially when it comes to Ian's vocals.

    Yngwie wears the same clothes as Blackmore (loads of people do, Blackmore wasn't the first)

    Ian can't stand Yngwie and you can clearly see it. Gillan (although he would not admit it) he is a big fan of Blackmore's playing, he always said that Ritchie is his hero and is that why he can't stand Yngwie, because Ian know that Yngwie is a child with more ego than talent... because Yngwie has more technique than talent. Yngwie thinks that he is God and he never took inspiration from anyone etc. In spite Ritchie and Ian hate relationship, they respect each other and Ian being a Ritchie fan, he hates the copycat... who is sitting next to him in the couch. Ian can be nasty sometimes but in this case, he is being fair.
