But being fair, he's not only super fast and precise in his technique, but also, to me much more importantly, has beautiful feel for melody and harmony which he can utilize in improvisation. He had a significant impact on the history of modern music and has revolutionized the way we play lead guitars today. This is fuckin awesome. Dude is epic. 1st time I saw him was August 31.1985 day on the green. Scorpions ratt y n t Metallica and this guy.....dude is a ego maniac but dude is the greatest ever. Fact.
He will never admit it but Blackmore was his idol until around 1985-86. He copied Blackmore's looks, playing technique, attitude, relations with bandmates, etc. He was obsessed with Purple and Rainbow and it's no coincidence that he worked with Bonnet and Turner. I love Yngwie but he's not being honest, sorry.
I was at the first Rising Force concert. Ritchie Blackmore was there, too, and we met him in the bar. He said "SO - white fender Stratocaster, 3 Marshall stacks, black satin suit, white leather boots, Moog Taurus pedals, whipping the guitar strings with the cable - where have we seen this before!?!?"
hes great, wouldnt change a thing about him. i mean hes a dictionary definition of a narcissist but it really doesnt matter. why would u want anything different from these kinds of legends. i remember a friend telling me he met him and he was rude af and told him to f*ck off lol. i just remember thinkin, i dont want him to be anything else. if ur lucky enough to catch him interacting positively with fans, then more power to you but we all know that isnt the legend. weve all heard the stories. the legend is hes a rude af live fast ridiculous neo classical ego maniac shredder that does not give a single f*ck about anyone unless he gets what he wants. trust me, the world just isnt the same without them. they are monsters, so we dont have to be lol.
He can say what ever he wants, but in the end he really needs to ask proper singers to sing on his records. He can play, he can compose, even produce, although the last 3 albums were terrible, but he can’t sing. Not more than every Joe in some karaoke bar. So for a love of god Yngwie, hire a singer. Then we can maybe buy your albums again.

I mean fake lips fake tits fake cheek bones fake identities, fake concerts, fake recordings, lol fake vocals, phuck it's turned into Planet Fake, lol all for fame money and attention. Long live Yngwie and his way of thinking and producing his craft/art. @_vixen_4504 zero hate, I like a lot of the songs he wrote. Clearly, I'm not ignorant the issue is you're disconnected from reality, I lauded him as a B leaguer
He point blank said "call it whatever you want I've always rolled that way" after stating he would not accept the Graham Bonnet gig unless they got rid of Clive Burr for the Alice Cooper drummer that played double bass. He also remembered that Clive Burr was a sweet guy just not right for the gig. Yngwie could have opted not to go into all that detail to appear another way. He was honest instead. I respect that and I would simply call him an artist that knows what he wants and will not compromise his vision.
@@Explorer766 I just happen to know someone who met him a long time ago in a studio, this guy was carrying a guitar case & Yngwie walked right up to him & said "You play guitar?, the guy replied "Yes" obviously starstruck & Yngwie followed with "Well, I'm the greatest guitar player in the world...", with the deadliest of poker faces. Anyway, he is what he is I guess. I wouldn't have him in my top 20, but he's a great guitarist, even if he does come across as a bit of a nob.
Yngwies theory is very simple. His music is great as backing tracks for improvisation on guitar. He is popular as his timing is very bizarre. Yngwie is yngwie. He is well aware of the narrow niche he is in, likely severely scary financially.
Being a big fan of his early days, i am a bit sad, that he (i am 1 year older) looks like Cher. He should accept signs of age, throw away the wig and change his attitude!

@@jfo3000 Knopfler certainly plays "less" and despite his ego, Yngwie couldn't play what Knopfler does.
This is fuckin awesome. Dude is epic. 1st time I saw him was August 31.1985 day on the green. Scorpions ratt y n t Metallica and this guy.....dude is a ego maniac but dude is the greatest ever. Fact.
Angel Stuff ❤❤❤
He doesnt come off like a jerk ..... just a little narcisistic
legend
He will never admit it but Blackmore was his idol until around 1985-86. He copied Blackmore's looks, playing technique, attitude, relations with bandmates, etc. He was obsessed with Purple and Rainbow and it's no coincidence that he worked with Bonnet and Turner. I love Yngwie but he's not being honest, sorry.
Actuellement je suis a.Abu Dhabi j aurais bien aimé qu il vienne a Abu Dhabi.
I fucking love Yngwie Malmsteen !
I’ m not knocking it, but he’s latest release is ”Like he puts it” kindergarden shit. !
hes great, wouldnt change a thing about him. i mean hes a dictionary definition of a narcissist but it really doesnt matter. why would u want anything different from these kinds of legends.
i remember a friend telling me he met him and he was rude af and told him to f*ck off lol. i just remember thinkin, i dont want him to be anything else.
if ur lucky enough to catch him interacting positively with fans, then more power to you but we all know that isnt the legend. weve all heard the stories.
the legend is hes a rude af live fast ridiculous neo classical ego maniac shredder that does not give a single f*ck about anyone unless he gets what he wants. trust me, the world just isnt the same without them.
they are monsters, so we dont have to be lol.
Yngwie = G.O.A.T.
Legend!!

He's a mediocre singer at best. It reminds me of when Eddie Van Halen sang lead on that song on VH III. Terrible.
Gods knows how many times I’ve heard this,,nothing new
monster of guitar.
For a guy basically reading his diary, no mention of Mike Varney as the one who actually brought him to the States?
His accent isn't that strong here -- Yngwie is the man and still is- see you in Clearwater can't wait🤘 always an amazing experience
il a marqué à jamais l'histoire de la 6 cordes ....
That's right. The best neoclassical guitar player. And the real creator of this genre.
If everyone on the planet would just let everyone be themselves and be their own *unique* finger print, THEN we would have the real deal instead of contrived fake art. I mean fake lips fake tits fake cheek bones fake identities, fake concerts, fake recordings, lol fake vocals, phuck it's turned into Planet Fake, lol all for fame money and attention. Long live Yngwie and his way of thinking and producing his craft/art. This world need more people being themselves and producing/putting out the real deal, whether its perfect or not -- it's *real* and sincere. Peace
I enjoyed this
Thank you
en faite yngwie n'est pas un guitariste de rock mais un guitariste classique!!!!!
"I don't like donuts!"....
5:40 the most Yngwie thing Yngwie has ever said
he is a B leaguer
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle Are you really that ignorant that you have you hate on him multiple times in this comment section.
@_vixen_4504 zero hate, I like a lot of the songs he wrote. Clearly, I'm not ignorant the issue is you're disconnected from reality, I lauded him as a B leaguer
Thank you Yngwie for your art 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
🤘🎸🎸🎸🤘
Such a humble guy....
😂 isn't he just.
😅🤣😂
He point blank said "call it whatever you want I've always rolled that way" after stating he would not accept the Graham Bonnet gig unless they got rid of Clive Burr for the Alice Cooper drummer that played double bass. He also remembered that Clive Burr was a sweet guy just not right for the gig. Yngwie could have opted not to go into all that detail to appear another way. He was honest instead. I respect that and I would simply call him an artist that knows what he wants and will not compromise his vision.
Love him or hate him, he's unapologetically Yngwie. There is no one else like him
@@Explorer766 I just happen to know someone who met him a long time ago in a studio, this guy was carrying a guitar case & Yngwie walked right up to him & said "You play guitar?, the guy replied "Yes" obviously starstruck & Yngwie followed with "Well, I'm the greatest guitar player in the world...", with the deadliest of poker faces. Anyway, he is what he is I guess. I wouldn't have him in my top 20, but he's a great guitarist, even if he does come across as a bit of a nob.
BRAVO MAESTRO!
But his best Album is Alcatrazz No Parole = A band record
Classic Yngwie
I totally with his take on producing. The music he makes is a composition that is done. That is his thing...
J'aime son regard sur ce que doit être une création brute, originale... Tout à fait d'accord, il faut aller au bout de son expression, c'est la richesse de ce monde. Effectivement, cela ne sied pas toujours au capitalisme actuel...
