Man, I wish these video's were around back in the 90's when I was racing, I have learned a few things. Have also learned that there are a lot of racers needing some education! Keep up the good work!
All the love and healing for Brian! Was happy to meet you at Intelligentsia, pity I had to have surgery for my torn meniscus since. Hope Brian makes it back to the videos soon!
I’m glad I passed James and his buddy on that sprint ;) . I represent sjbc on the left at 16:57 :D . It was a fun race! Was glad that dolce vita and mikes came out with decent amount of teammates. Ended up only 8th though.
Not a good line actually. I wonder if he would have done better if he had pedaled through the corner at 09:13 and if his team had been organized to raise the pace in the last lap to stop the attacks in the last little kicker prior to the last sprint to make the sprint safer rather than trying to bridge to a dead breakaway that is being controlled by 4-5 teammates from Mikes Bikes. If the 2 guys on his left had closed him in they would have gone down.
If you can push 400+ watts for an hour you can lead out until the last lap or two but you wouldn’t have really helped much apart from just being a pace car
You're the one putting out them watts - and to get that data you need a power meter. The speed is measured by a sensor that's attached to one of your wheels.
Can you please answer my question mr norcal my question is are you gonna try to join tour de france or can you finish tour de france sorry for bad grammar i am from asia and biggest fan😄😄
These races are not worth fighting like that for position, you can make someone that is not used to contact fall or worst make you fall. Most paid riders avoid this type of races, and elite riders never do them, the risk is too big ( I know someone is going to find a race of Nibali or Contador doing a crit, but look at the course there are 5 or 10 miles courses and they are off-season and they are usually arranged AKA exhibitions) . Why risk your body and your bike, in cycling you are always risking it but on criteriums, there is always someone going to the hospital. For sprinters this might be good practice for everyone else is a completely unnecessary risk, like sprinting when you are not a sprinter, you just get out of the way and let them push each other.
Course is changed.. used to be a long straightaway with uphill right & long back with a big down right etc...when it was ncnca.org.. I did it 2001-2004 There was NO place to rest. Bicycles Plus M35+1/2/3 & pro 1/2 were my groups. HR 180-200 bpm
Speedy recovery to your friend Brian, looking forward to hearing from him in the videos 👍
The saddle roll flopping around at 16:58... come on dude.
The course is shaped like Lance Armstrong's package.

Thanks for the update Jeff. Wish him well. also the commentary is a killer I was on my toes on the Cat 3 race.

11:06 that dude has the saddle way too low.
Holy shit your line through the last corner. Sketchy
Just a dive bomb. Wasn't that bad.

at 09:12..I have seen many Allez Sprint Comp in Crit races. I like this bike, I have one .Great bike!!!
Thanks for the update
Sorry, i am newbie. Let me ask. So what the name of this number road bike race?
Where’d they find a flat route in San Fran? 😂
I've seen one of your team members with an argon 18. What's your or his opinion about the brand?
Only replying because we have the same name!
Can someone be strong enought to lead from start to finish? or is it to much ?
If you can push 400+ watts for an hour you can lead out until the last lap or two but you wouldn’t have really helped much apart from just being a pace car
11:07 that saddle height tho
He must be losing so much power by having the saddle too low like that, looks like it could go up by 3 cm
Glad I wasn't alone in seeing whatever the fuck that was
I've got a question. are there any "mountain/ hill" races ? or are there only these flat rounds?
this track wasnt flat there was a incline most tracks are like that nothing to extreme though there are hill climb competitions too
How do you know the Watts and speed of your bike?
You're the one putting out them watts - and to get that data you need a power meter. The speed is measured by a sensor that's attached to one of your wheels.
Too add onto what Chris said - In my case, the speed is just an estimate based on GPS, that's why sometimes it bounces around a bit.

there's many bike races everywhere. and there are many different race format.
You talk a lot about team strategy. What about a solo rider, got any tips for what to do when you don't have a team?
