      Agreed but then that's y the akai company is clever cause I think they also made some looping devices so they expect music makers to get those. So glad this guy made this video. Ive been looking everywhere to see someone use a Bluetooth speaker with wire

      But with a looper it would cost at least 80$ more, and not everyone needs it. Just buy a guitar looper and you are fine

      Definitely agree,That is the stupidest thing I just bought the same mk3 and learned shortly after turning it on,no looping option....Is there a way to loop through an android phone

    The dishes actually give this some chill vibes, as if you were listening to the song inside a busy cafe. Great tune and incredible improv skills, never be ashamed of adding some noise and drones to your songs, even if they are just a happy mistake!

    Great loop, and great work just using internal GM sounds. Also I kind of find it funny how everyone rushes to get the latest most powerful iPhone, just to use for social media, messaging and to take selfies. Loopy pro is so powerful, and along with some AUv3 plugins its a mini music making studio. I bet most people don't realise they have that kind of tool in their pocket.

      Sound of loopy comes from iOS screen recording. It is JBL Flip 4

      Unfortunately no. You need to use external looper.

    Is possible to use with garage band? Do you know if it causes problems using it with versions prior to macOS 14.1? I bought my Iphone and my Imac in 2017 both use Ventura and do not allow subsequent updates. Thanks.

      The app is Loopy Pro. Sound comes out from JBL speaker and is captured by iPhone internal speaker

      I think the most positive impact on input signal has reverb effect inside loopy. But the mic quality in iPhone 12 is very good I must say 😎

      Thanks. No. In this setup in the speaker you can hear only currently played layer. All layers are monitored in headphones

    Wonderful! I'm looking to input both midi keyboard and bass guitar through loopy and then to an external speaker, is this possible? I'm most confused about the last step, how do we get audio to and from the iphone to an external speaker?

      You need to use audio out connectors from your audio interface. But for recording audio better to use internal recording inside loopy.

      Playback is only in my headphones. Speaker plays only new sounds, not all that you hear.

    Could you connect the audio out of the Akai 3.5mm to the lightning/audio adapter as an input to the iPhone? I saw a guy on TH-cam do that with a clip on mic.

      I think You will need some audio interface 🤔 such as Rode Ai micro. But maybe there is simpler way. I heard that if you have dedicated dongle with headphones jack iPhone can detect somehow if it has input signal on it!, but not tested.

    I think your record is really nice (as always) but I´m not so sure about the native sounds of the AKAI MK3. I think your plugins are much better. By the way, you are using a JBL Flip speaker, aren´t you?

      Yes, I agree with you. Auv3 are way better in sound quality, but I am looking for gear that can be useful for live looping. Just plug and loop. AKAI can make work done by applying some Loopy effects on incoming sound.

      the speaker is only playing what he is currently playing (one track or instrument at a time). and i believe he has headphones connected to his iphone, which plays the other loops

      There is only actual playing sound coming through speaker. Whole session is recorded inside loopy

      You can try Koala Sampler but it has slightly different approach. More for sample playing not live looping

      This iPhone cable is only for my headphones. I can hear internal effects and click, and then there is no any unnecessary feedback to iPhone microphone.

      AKAI is connected by wire to JBL. Then iPhone is recording by it's internal mic sounds from JBL.

      afaik you need a usb b to usb c cable. at least i hope so because thats what I ordered 😂. i ordered my mpk mini play mk3 yesterday and it will arrive tuesday

      No, I am using wired connection from Akai to JBL. When you are using Bluetooth wired sound is cut off.

      I was looking for BT speaker with 3,5mm jack. I had one unknown brand from Amazon. But the sound had to high latency. So it wasn’t possible to play live Keyboard. Now I see it’s possible to play with a BT speaker.
