Thanks that makes a lot of sense! It's hard to even catch a breath for me in the crowd. Matty is amazing live then because he almost sounds just like the recorded version especially on screams.
i was there. ♥
pretty much what logan said. during the chorus, where he should be singing after "keep me close, keep me" that "close" is pretty high up there and difficult to reproduce in a live setting. Easiest thing to do is let the crowd help you.
Some bands have vocal back tracks... most don't but some have parts of one in places where they know they might not have the energy to sing it themselves, example: if they layer overtop of each other slightly or a really quick change between cleans and screaming. What you could possibly be hearing though might be the crowd singing cause Memphis May Fire uses minimum cause Matty and Kellen (guitarist) can cover pretty much every part.
Brutal!!
0:34 that fucking kick.
lol yes he was sidestage almost all day it was funny cause he kept on pointing me out and waving to me because I happened to be wearing an Anthem Made shirt that day
And also Ryan Neff from MMI
i saw kellin!
Anyone else laughing at Kellin's little dances?
whatever, cant expect it too be perfect live.
Hey I notice that at some parts matty either gives a line to the backup singer or some parts you can hear playing even though he isn't singing it. Like they are using a backing track to fill in the lines that are close or merge together. So my question is why do many bands do this and is the whole studio song actually playing on the speakers and they just cover it? Someone please reply or message me because I'm really curious.
I see Ryan Neff!
Auauauauaaaau
More or less. Matty can't hit most of the album high notes live, so he delegates to the back up vocalists or crowd. Like you said, a lot of bands delegate to someone else (band member or the crowd), or potentially use a voice track.
KELLIN ON THE SIDE >>>>>>
Decent performance from Matty. But I still hate when the singer gives the high notes to the fans because they don't think they hit them.
LOL HD! xD
