As a violinist, I've never in my life heard someone play the cello this amazing!! So much emotion and depth that you put into this that I was hypnotized to the sound and literly forgot to breath. My heart is still beating fast. You couldn't play this better, behond perfection! This is better than watching the movie or reading the story behind the theme. Well done🎉👏❤ You and the orchestra are outstanding.

In 1968, I was privileged to see Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet in a small, intimate theater in San Francisco. The ending brought the entire audience to tears. Your playing of the Nina Rota/Henry Mancini theme song captured the emotions I felt that day perfectly. Thank you so much.
When you played the first 4 notes on the cello, it completely brought me to tears, and I had to pause the video for a few minutes so I could regain my composure. I brought the video to my wife so we could listen together. As we are both 61, we quickly remembered the movie Romeo and Juliet from watching it in school. And we both agree that this rendition is truly exquisite and sublime. As I played the cello myself starting in the 4th grade this version really hit me in a wonderful way. The production and the passion required for a piece such as this has been easily accomplished! I will probably listen to it 20-30 times tonight alone! Bravo for such a personal production. Thanks 😊 so so much!
yeah everyone was forced to watch it in high school, most laughed at the movie at the time but when you got older you realize how good the movie is...too bad nowadays kids will never watch it because of all the bans in school
Her interpretation of the melody and the harmonies is just so incredibly beautiful. It reminds me of the natural beauty of the sound of a babbling brook or the ocean waves or a gentle rain on a winter night. It's a beautiful melody to begin that captures an inspirational feeling, finally ending with the gentle sounds that remind me of a flower blooming in the sunshine. She takes the beauty of the original melody to another level. The next level up would be the angel singing.
yeah, put tears to my eyes too, and a lump in my throat again I think. part of me feels jealous, that she plays the cello and her friends play the violin so well. I'm not too jealous, me and the Pipe organ are friends, but still, there's so much beauty in all of that.
For an old retired professor teaching Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" in Taiwan, this performance is simply romantically and everlastingly beautiful!! Thanks for the absolutely outstanding teamwork which has lifted up the deepest part of my soul and really thanks for your sharing!
I say no.... if this was to be reintroduced now?... juliet would be black... murcutio would be gay just to be politically correct.....I am not a racist nor do I hate gay folks...but it would be poetry robbed by reality....
The best rendition I have ever heard of this song. The melody has a deeply melancholic feel, telling the story of the tragedy that is Romeo and Juliet. The cellist does an exceptional job at conveying the emotion and heart of the song. The accompanying players are outstanding. The duet in the middle with the violin and the cello…absolutely lovely. This stirred so many feelings in my soul. Breathtaking performance. Thank you for this fantastic piece.
Many moons ago I was whistling this music as I loaded my truck to move. A neighbor across the street that had seldom spoke to me came over and said, you whistled that song very well. He was a well know music director and I took as a compliment. I play a 12 guitar and am surprised he never came over when I was playing outback. A very heart felt song, and you were supurb.
