Normally im used to demos giving a specific level or two, or being like, the games intro. With how Shadowless Kid speedran life, was in a relationship for 3 seconds, gave up the firefighter dream instantly this feels like a charcuterie board demo where i still dont entirely get the story after 20 minutes.
Why are we giving everyone a cold? We're terrified our shadow got cut off, but stopped for some icecream? Most importantly where can i buy the firefighter fanfiction?
Wait. So is this like a symbiotic relationship between these frogs and mankind or are these frogs controlling mankind?
I don't have anything really to go for on this, but I think the shadows frogs are meant to be something like a psychological shadow-self/inspiration, or something like the 'spirit' or 'soul' of the things. As a child, the person is kind of controlled by these impulses, moving in concert with their inner self, but then, in adulthood, having given up on some of their dreams, and in distress, the main character becomes 'separated' from his shadow-self, which must find its way back to him.
There's a lot of superstitions about "when you sneeze, it means someone is thinking about you", so that could be why we seem to "infect" the people we pass through on our way back.
this one looked interesting since the trailers but after trying its demo i found it unengaging both in gameplay and presentation, the idea is neat but they don't take it anywhere unfortunately (at least the parts in the demo)
I like the visual style, but this game doesn't seem like it's got legs. You just jump between shadows toward a goal, with basically no challenge or interaction beyond a couple of isolated points. The dev really needs to do more, adding puzzles with the object interactions or with jumping from shadow to shadow, and giving you a more clear reason to be doing it, otherwise this is just sort of nothing.
I was not expecting a fucking Divinity Original Sin 1 reference, but I'm here for it.

It seems like it has potential to be cool but the storyline seems weak and boring. Like what’s even the point? And if the shadow frog can survive outside the shadows, what does it matter where you land?
Seems like you can land once outside shadow but you die if you don't make a subsequent leap. Like a fish out of water, you don't die instantly, but after prolonged exposure you will

Oh shoot, I saw things about this game and it looked really good, happy to report it is even better :D A really fun surprise indeed to see Tom playing it and damn was it a good time, I do hope he returns for the full version come the 18th
From what I know of the game, I thought it was that you are playing as a Soul, rather than a Shadow Frog, but I may be wrong

Total opposite for me. Love seeing all these different little games that I haven't seen anywhere else. It's fun to experience something new, and even with the more basic games Tom always makes them entertaining.
