So I've noticed this trend he is getting is normal as platinum. You'll get a bunch of orders that are around $10, but its a dollar a mile. So you're not getting very many beneficial dollar per mile trips. I think this last week when i had platinum, i only got 3 high paying orders that came with that banner and the DPM was more than 2. I've come to believe that the platinum status is not worth it. I gave up on it and i got silver status this week, and I've seen more high paying banner orders than i did the week prior.
@@cyght87 yea I’m working myself to the bone to keep top dasher ( I do this on top of my full time work) and I love dash anytime but not noticing much difference otherwise.
What im starting to think is regardless if you are a platinum dasher or not, Door Dash will send you an order that a lot of people are declining just to see if anybody is going to take it. You got to remember that door dash is more to make the customers happy, not us.
I am also in Massachusetts like this guy, and Shaw’s does shop and delivery, but lately I have gotten some pickups. Much easier, but always much larger orders to lug.
Honestly, the real benefit for platinum dashing is being able to dash anytime if you live in an area with a large amount of college kids that do dash as a side gig. In my area, when I didn’t have platinum I had to schedule a day the MINUTE it was available to do so or I wouldn’t be able to dash that day at all.
Listen, it is superficial. Back out of the app and start clicking RIGHT WHERE Dash Now would be. You can by pass it everytime. Give it a try and you'll see it work. Good luck buddy.
If your silver or gold in Louisville it’s the same, hit platinum 3 times now. Can dash whenever I want no scheduling needed, large order program got a 10 that turned into 38 after tip. Made 104 today is possible to make money but getting a part time job have interview tomorrow.
These tiers a joke. I've been delivering for doordash since 2020, and my acceptance rate is between 20 to 40%. I work 4 hours during dinner shifts and occasionally I'll work a 3 hour lunch shift, typically bringing in $120/140 a shift. I also know my city well enough to know days and times that are the best and I don't drive on days I know will be bad. The lowest I bring in on a slow day is typically $100. I don't go further than 5 miles from the restaurant or store to delivery and I don't accept any orders under $8 and even that is iffy depending on the restaurant. There are restaurants I refuse to pick up from no matter the pay because of wait times. This tier system and their acceptance percentages are all a manipulation to make you think that you'll get better or you risk your account being deactivated and it's silly. Some cities unionized and drivers won't accept low paying orders and reading up on that is how I worked out my own practices when doing deliveries. I wish you all luck.
Make sure you document your concerns via email with door dash. Explain that they're misrepresenting their tier system amd ask for a print out of your AR.
I've seen your videos pop up often and thought I was subscribed but I wasn't. Well I subscribed now cause I love delivering with these apps! I'm getting ready to retire from USPS and this work will bring in money so me and my wife can travel!! I also love creating good funny content for TH-cam! See you around man!
We don’t always get that high pay screen or sometimes you get it at less than $2/mile. It’s stupid. DD tiers are crap. I still think when they brought in the tiers they made it so you have to chase platinum status with crap orders so you can have dash now. Dash now is the only reason to have platinum.
2 weeks ago I was at 89% ultra platinum and I still would get $4.$5 no tip offers. I also got those stacked offers with no tip offers, Also at Dinner time $11- 9 miles ` way that would take me 45 minuites out of the area, Now Im Gold status again and hours are soaked up in my market, Doordash needs to stop letting the custormers take the tip away after delievery, Now I have 30 delieveries to complete to be platinum again, The orders that dropped me to Gold from Platimum were 3 balloon orders from Party City, 11 miles and 13 miles 1 way that is insane to expect any driver to drive that far with no visability, I have done 4 miles with no visability that was nerve wracking,
@@YourDriverMike yea it was only 1.5 miles and I get the algorithm dollar per miles makes it "high paying", but it was the bare minimum with $2 base/peak and I had to sit through drive-thru plus try to find the apt building in the dark.
I get grocery pickups all the time from Albertsons. It's great because they are always high offers for me and I don't have to do the shopping! Only downside is you don't always know how many items there are.
Hey Mike! First off I want to say thank you for all your content and your hard work you do for all of us. Gig workers out here. And two, just to let you know, platinum status means nothing to doordash. I still get the same crappy words that I did when I was a top Dasher.
Retail Pickup or Shop & Delivery I have gotten mixed up with those at only 2 different stores here in NYC. BJ's & Petco at times can be either a Shop & Delivery or Pickup. I have literally walked into a BJ's thinking I was shopping only to find out at the last minute, all I have to do is Pick it up. What a relief that was.
On platinum they also like to give you $6 orders for 9 or 10 miles In my area. Sometimes when there's a plus behind the offer it can be anywhere from 25 cents more to a very good tip you can't trust the plus mark
Hi. Been dashing for a few months now. Here in Arizona (mostly I drive in Scottsdale/Tempe), the retail pickup is usually for "grocery" grocery stores, like Albertson's or Fry's, at least in my experience. It's really neat, the employees in the customer service section of the store put the orders together for you, which saves you time as a driver.
I've been Platinum ever since they rolled it out in my market. This week has been lousy as far as seeing the "High Paying Order" card. I received a lot of 1:1 ratio orders, and also many low miles/low pay orders. We may have a lot of new dashers since it's summer break and DD is giving them the high paying orders during the honeymoon phase.
This has got to be the case in my area too. Used to be able to dash whenever. Finally got Uber Eats and multi-apped for the first time on a busy-ish Friday and it was a lifesaver.
Have to agree - fairly sure that DD is clipping tips to boot. I never get stiffed completely in affluent areas, and it's happened twice this last week. I really think that a Class Action is warranted just for transparency sake.
Not all high paying orders are exclusive to the high paying order program. That means some of the high paying offers will be Gray even when you're platinum.
In NYC maybe on one delivery for me in the last 500 it said High Paying Order. I've been on a Gold Status almost from the start of this new program. They may not say it here because we have an hourly pay program here in NYC. So whatever amount they say they are giving really isn't the amount they will give you in the end after pay adjustments to keep you at the minimum hourly pay in NYC.
Uber gave me one at a shoprite... said one item, turned out To be a whole shopping order, and 50+ items. The store brought it out and said, "we don't load it, you do!" I was pissed!!
Had something similar for DD (Chicago area Jewel grocery), said 5 item pickup (was on EBT), get there and its literally 2 overflowing full shopping carts - and the prior 2 drivers took the 1st shopping carts and did the 5 finger discount with them (for your account, really?), really. Was hot, up really steep stairs, really nice lady (through the Grocery Store app she said), no tip. I mentioned shopping focused apps after all that.
Everyone should understand one thing. It's all by design. All of these high acceptance rate tiers designed to deliver trash orders. Drivers have this carrot on the stick in front of them hoping to get a whopper or two once in a blue moon. But in reality they are forced to accept every trash order just to maintain their AR. Good luck top dashers! )))
I will say this. As a platinum dashers they try to give you priority orders, try. It sucks sometimes cause they predict big orders will come in. So the 4 or 5 dollar orders just don't hit your phone. And you get bored as hell. I wish they would change this so if your waiting too long just send a damn order to keep me busy
I’ve noticed that the indicator for “high paying offer” will sometimes fail to appear even if you are at one of those tiers. Side question: do “high paying offers” occur on earn by time? I’ve never seen them if so.
I get retail pickups almost daily or at least three times a week a week for Shop Rite. They usually pay pretty good but not 2:1 rate. Usually like $10+ for 6ish miles.
I do believe what is considered “high paying offer” can be different per market. Here in San Diego, when they first started Priority Access Rewards about a year and a half ago, they said that offers marked as high-paying are $3.50 per mile or better. Sounds good on paper, but I’d say at least 2/3 of the “high paying” offers I receive are $4.00 -$5.50 for 1 - 1.5 miles. Meets the criteria but isn’t actually high paying in my opinion. I will say as a top tier dasher I do get plenty of good high paying orders that don’t fit the local perameters for high-paying, for example $12-15 for 4-5 miles.
I have seen that in my area where it's a high paying offer but the symbol won't show up. Yesterday I had a $10.25 order for 3 miles and no Indicator on it
I was Platinum with a 94 percent acceptance rate at one point and I still got garbage that I had to take constantly to keep above 70 percent....Then one day in a good area I got 12 straight orders where the miles were double the dollars...My acceptance rate got to 69 percent and I lost my status....During this time of platinum,,,my orders for the most part were nothing special...It got really bad starting this January first...These orders you are showing by the way were GOOD compared to what I was getting..I continuously asked customer service what was wrong and was told every time nothing was wrong....Very good areas in busy times btw....I can't state how poorly I was treated with awful orders in busy areas when my ratings were about perfect....I decided to turn doordash back on with my 69 percent acceptance rate and my gold status and EVERY order is either 5 dollars for 4 miles or it's 50 percent more miles than dollars up to double the miles for dollars....And this was with EVERY rating about as perfect as you can get it....I honestly feel like I was being discriminated against in some way...And I'm talking GREAT areas...
I think for Sephora orders it depends on how the order was put in. Like if through Sephora, no tip but of through Door dash you can tip. I have no proof of this but it's a possibility.
I had a retail pickup at a Star Market but it was labeled as "1 Distinct Item" and it turned out being like 7-8 bags of groceries. Those "distinct" items can be a gamble cuz they can be either regular groceries or like big bags of dog food or multiple cases of water lol
DD is a good side hustle app at peak times, but as a main job DD is really crap. You would almost always be better off with a full time driving job outside of DD if you like driving as a job. Walk into almost any Pizza Place that has in house drivers and ask if they are hiring closing drivers. You will be hired on the spot.
I have already had an order showing the plus sign after it, I think it was $6.50+ showing and only 2 miles but after I dropped it off and it showed the total pay of $6.55!! I was like WTF!! $.05 more really!!!
Ive noticed that recently they stopped putting the diamond status banner on some 2$+ a mile orders i figured maybe they changed it to where if they didnt give u that order based on ur diamond status maybe they dont show it now cus they wouldve gave it to whoever was closest
I can get in between $200-$225 dashing for 10-12 hours in my market. And that is with no red card shops. Only restaurants, fast food, and rarely retail pickup that does not require a red card.
There are a lot of things I learned from doing DoorDash 1) Don’t take anything under 5. DoorDash will pay you 2.50 an order as a base pay. Anything under 5 is a waste of your time. 2) Don’t take anything under a 1 a mile. Had an order the other day for 9.60 to go 15 miles. I was like “hell no!” I declined it. If it was 30, I would’ve taken it. 3) The guaranteed including tips is a joke. Don’t fall for it. Most likely you’ll get what’s displayed that’s it. There’s been a few times doordash has pissed me off and times I considered quitting. It’s a good little side hustle yes but doing it full time? It would be hell.
I’ve been platinum for a couple months. A lot of times you get mid orders (or less than a buck a mile). But sometimes you get amazing orders. It is based on what people are willing to pay
It does make you think, if it is a stellar offer anyway, one that probably has a 99% acceptance chance from most Dashers, why are we hiding the full amount? Like we're going to take $10 for 1 mile anyway, why not just show it's $13? Hm 🤔
When they stack a really high tip offer with a non tipper and make you go to the non tipper first why would the second person tip the next time? What's the benefit?
I think you need to be smart when rejecting orders even if your multi apping to prevent low rejection score, Lyft, Dasher and Instacart is a good combination together.
Welcome to the new reward program 😂😂😂😂 been platinum since this new program start in my area in March and the only difference is that your get more trash now and if you’re lucky enough, you get high paid order sometimes!
This new program stinks im platnum 96%acceptance i made 49$ yesterday in 6.5 hours i was averaging 100-125 in the same 6.5 hours prior to the switch now its 50-60 ave decided to abandon the high acceptance rate and if its not 2$ a mile im out
So the fact that he doesn't have the indicators on his high paying offers make me question all of this. It was the first thing I noticed when it should have "qualified" under the tier system. With that said, on busy nights I am seeing $20+ tips in the Platinum tier. BUT if it's NOT busy I see horrible ones because it's my opinion that if there are basically no offers, it offers even the bad ones to the Platinum drivers first (since there aren't any other offers) and then rolls down through the levels as they are declined. But overall the tier system has helped me dollar wise but the hassle of keeping 100 rolling orders is a lot more mental work than I want.
The tier program hits Tucson Arizona June 26th. Other parts of Arizona already have it. I'm a top dasher. My offers don't change from not being a top dasher. 😊
Ive got platinum status as of last week and see a lot of these types of offers. What ive noticed though is by accepting them all i always get nice high paying and shopping orders right after.
You can get retail or even grocery pick up order BUT you cant have your red card registered. I get Giant Eagle and Sallys orders often in west hills. The giant eagle orders are like how it was with point pick up. Just park at the curbside, hit the arrived at store and theyll come out with the groceries and load them jn the car. Will Sally's, just go in and theyll have it ready. I stopped using the red card years ago and its been amazing.
lol, tonight I was consistently getting $5 orders, then I got a $7 “high paying” offer for 2.5 miles. I was good with that, my markets are all suburban sprawl and subdivisions (so I have to accept higher miles), but then I later got an $8 offer for 1.7 miles but it wasn’t labeled as “high paying.”
The only benefit I've seen from being platinum is being able to dash whenever you want. The orders seem to be the same. The wait seems shorter sometimes but not always.
I get grocery pickups with Albertsons and Safeway here in Arizona! They are so much better than doing the shopping 🛒 because it’s already ready. The only drawback I see if you don’t know exactly what you’re picking up.
I do something similar with Amazon flex they pick up from save Mart you go there the packages are already ready you put the bags in your car and you go deliver them easy
I've resolved myself to taking those $2 and $3 short mileage orders to pad my AR so I can decline those ridiculous low pay high mileage orders! I'm still struggling to keep my AR above 70. I got 5 ridiculous orders in a row yesterday, so I just quit.
Get Coles & Woolworths collect only often here in Aus but the shops don't set their apps correctly re timing so sometimes I'll turn up to collect and they haven't even picked the order yet! (and of course with UE no pay even if you've gone out of your way to drive there). I now try to remember to call the store straight away to make sure they are picking or finished before l start driving to collect... N 😏😬
I’m think my town is too small for all top ranking dashers to get high offers. Moving up a tier didn’t make any difference for the better. It made things worse. I have to satisfy their acceptance rate all while getter less offers, like 2 offers in 1h 37m. Working so hard to climb the tier and stay there, but still averaging out $10 an hour cause no offers are coming in.
I make more on gold than in diamond, theres some offers on platinum that pay $11 for 2 miles but 40 items at the grocery store including water cases….. 🙃
It definitely makes a difference. Yeah you'll still get some of the lesser offers, but I most definitely have seen a difference between the two. I mean the order's still have to be available vs. The Dashers that are in same area as you.
I've noticed in my area ya dont see that high paying logo on even 2 to 1 mile ratios anymore. Haven't figured out exactly what it got changed to but seems like it might even be 3 dollars to 1 mile ratio or something close to it.
It must be your market. I earned platinum status about 3 weeks ago and I've been averaging $3.50+ per mile with my orders. I haven't gotten a catering order yet, but I'm sure I will. I work in hawaii, so maybe that's why? And I don't work in waikiki..I work on the windward side.
A $6 for 2.6 miles McDonald's that went up to $12 not a high paying offer even though I'm a top dasher. Yes, the tiers not made it to this market (yet)
I am not in the Tier program... Acceptance rate in the Teens. I do get plenty of those horrible low dollar high mile orders but I do get some Banger orders equal to what he got I just cant take all the bad no tip orders it would take to get me to high enough status to get into the Teir program.
No DashLink in Toledo yet.. Mad Dasher orders a typical of what one may see as Platinum in the Glass City. Only real advantage is Dash Now! No better than Top Dasher. Platinum offers have actually gotten worse since starting in May. Catering apps are the saving grace now for increase cash flow.
⚡Try not to accept low dollar offers like this new driver did on Uber Eats (watch next): th-cam.com/video/C7qmvvbN7WE/w-d-xo.html

I'll be on the lookout, I don't think I get many retail pickups for some reason. All my Sephora, Petsmart etc have been S&D
Yes! I had 2 different Petsmart "repeat delivery" orders and both said ineligible on tip. Base pay was a dollar per mile. Also advance auto parts.
I haven't seen 1 college kid door dashing in my town. It's literally all illegals with paper tags.
@@BigL718 my town is a car college town so all the people here drive a lot and love to use door dash as an excuse to show off their latest “race car”
In my market, DD considers $1+ a mile TO BE a high paying order.
Thank you 🙏 I thought it was just me with $6.25 for 7.6 miles. 😢
Yeah, $4 for 1-2 miles is "High Pay". Riiiiiiiiight
@@mng519 Not to you or me, but DoorDash considers a $3.25 1.5 mile run high pay in my market. And the app posts the flag to make sure I know it.
I can easily go 30/45 minutes without an offer (or acceptable offer) with both UE and DD running. Guess that explains the $10-15/hr typical for me.
Me too!
Your market sounds awesome compared to mine.

I also got those stacked offers with no tip offers, Also at Dinner time $11- 9 miles ` way that would take me 45 minuites out of the area, Now Im Gold status again and hours are soaked up in my market, Doordash needs to stop letting the custormers take the tip away after delievery, Now I have 30 delieveries to complete to be platinum again, The orders that dropped me to Gold from Platimum were 3 balloon orders from Party City,
11 miles and 13 miles 1 way that is insane to expect any driver to drive that far with no visability, I have done 4 miles with no visability that was nerve wracking,
That's nothing, tonight I got a no-tip offer $4 with the $2 base +$2 peak pay that showed Platinum High Paying Offer!??
What was the mileage? I've noticed it's strictly on dollars:mile here
@@YourDriverMike yea it was only 1.5 miles and I get the algorithm dollar per miles makes it "high paying", but it was the bare minimum with $2 base/peak and I had to sit through drive-thru plus try to find the apt building in the dark.
I get grocery pickups all the time from Albertsons. It's great because they are always high offers for me and I don't have to do the shopping! Only downside is you don't always know how many items there are.
I'll gladly take some offers if they send some here!
I like when he says, we gotta a certified banger
That explains why I’ve never had a tip for Sephora deliveries
I gotta 14.6 mile order for 9 dollars on platinum. This is the norm in my market and the majority of my orders.
Have to agree - fairly sure that DD is clipping tips to boot. I never get stiffed completely in affluent areas, and it's happened twice this last week. I really think that a Class Action is warranted just for transparency sake.
I’m constantly getting $2 or 0 tips from multi million dollar homes, perfect deliveries
Doordash needs to give their drivers half of the service charge fee, not 30 percent.
Not all high paying orders are exclusive to the high paying order program. That means some of the high paying offers will be Gray even when you're platinum.
Why do they order from the chick Fila inside the mall when there is one across the street 😅
Good luck top dashers! )))
I used to get Giant Eagle orders for pickup at the curb alot in Moon Township. This year they’ve mostly been shop and pays though at Giant Eagle
Yes occasionally they do.
The NAPA auto parts store in my area always has “ineligible for tips” & the pay sucks! ….the only offers I decline so far!
Depends on day of the week, $20/hr is ok for a weekday 12 hour shift, not very good if it is a Sat/Sun
I would be thrilled to get those kinda offers because the small town i live in in southeast Arkansas a $4.00 offer is consider high paying offers
I have seen that in my area where it's a high paying offer but the symbol won't show up. Yesterday I had a $10.25 order for 3 miles and no Indicator on it
First view! And local! Hi, Mike!
Hello!
Love your videos mad respect for you. Here in the Poconos market Pa NE❤
Appreciate you!
Auto parts orders always come in as tips not eligible
There are a lot of things I learned from doing DoorDash
1) Don’t take anything under 5.
Grab the little fish, and then you can grab the big fish on the way.
These gig apps need to be transparent with all offers. Not this $$+ offers just be honest.
2024 no way $239 for 12 hours is good
The tier program hits Tucson Arizona June 26th.
I get pickups from Safeway grocery store fairly often, pay is good
Nice!
lol, tonight I was consistently getting $5 orders, then I got a $7 “high paying” offer for 2.5 miles.
I do something similar with Amazon flex they pick up from save Mart you go there the packages are already ready you put the bags in your car and you go deliver them easy
he's not getting the indicator because it wasn't a priority delivery, h3e was the 2nd or 3rd driver to get it. It was mostly base pay with a low tip
Hahaha. I've waited for an hour. I used to do 11 deliveries for the lunch shift. 10-2:00.
Im platnium as well and this is what my offers look like unless its friday night
I’ve never had a grocery pick up but I’ve had a few pick ups.
And up 3 flights of stairs
@@Eaglemadhatter yea forgot to say that lol
I have the manner for platinum orders but I don't get them often. I notice I get them on $4 orders for 2 miles
He is in Boston back side around 95,Woburn mass, Bolton, Winchester are very nice towns
Shaws super market has a wyset up for shop and delivery only so all you have to do is pick up
It definitely makes a difference.
Platinum status for an entire week. Same crap orders to the point I started denying em and lost status. As others stated the only benefit is dash now
I have noticed when DD stacks a order they only pay $2. If they sent those orders separately they would pay $2 each. Is this fair to the driver?
I get the grocery pick ups about6 a week. Inam in scottsdale az
I get almost all pick up and deliver - no shop - hardly ever.
3:02 I just started getting the banner in my market
A lot of times doubles don't have the high paying tag with them. Almost like dd knows 2 restaurants at least 1 will have an issue
One thing you didn't consider... how many other/older platinum drivers were also dashing during the same time in that area
This tier system doesn't even exist in Canada (at least not in BC where I'm at).
20/hr over 12 is not horrible . Some times u get a 25-30’dollar hour and sometimes 15. Hell I had a 50 dollar hour on Sunday and the next hour was 16
I’ve been platinum for a while, and I feel the same way.
