Fantasy is back, woo! Time to get my Empire army dusted off, add some Greatswords, and make a narrative campaign for my friends to play! I'll add that in my experience, it's really best to avoid serious competitiveness when one is trying out this game. The movement rules aren't quite clean enough for competition because measuring wheels and turns is always a little fuzzy. BUT there's SOOOO much room for narrative and casual fun!
Ive thought of using it as the war mode of a dnD campaign and let player characters each take a few hundred points of troops since ToW heros can rep many dnd characters.
I played a bit of the original Warhammer back in the day but never owned my own army (unlike 40k). Like a lot of people I missed the news about it being killed off while I was on hiatus from the hobby, and when I came back, my first reaction to AoS was "what the heck is this?" I really tried to get into it, but I just couldn't. The models are nice, but the rules just rub me wrong, and I find the lore silly. Very, very excited for original Warhammer to be back. I rebased all my Slaves to Darkness and am looking forward to building my Bretonnians that I preordered. Every rules or battle rep video I watch just gets me more hyped.
We started at the same time then 😃 didn't realise! it is fun to look forward to it, even with a lot of negativity on youtube already, for clicks I imagine
@SimplyWarhammer always make your own mind up I say just because it's not for one person doenst mean it's not for you Just roll on tomoro brettonia box waiting to be picked up
thats really exciting ! I missed out on the boxes but managed to bag some books, which look lovely! They are being posted so probably won't see them until after the weekend now
Nope, good spot though 👍 YT checks for content usage and the video passed and in terms of usage as long as you are adding something or being transformative then you can use content without asking for approval. I produced a rapid fire video and it was a lot of effort writing the script and keeping the time down. Mine is a short entry to the topic and doesn't take away from watching long videos as well 😊
this is so much more usefull than the slop other channels have put out
Thanks very much 😊😁

@@keithsimpson2685 Great idea! The Warhammer Fantasy RPG is also great and would be even easier to translate.
I was so sad I missed out on fantasy the first go around. Now I can finally settle grudges with my Dawi!

@SimplyWarhammer garbage excuse. You should state in the video you ate using someone else's hard work. Grubby.
Can't please everyone. I've added a note on the video description now.
Seems a lot like 5th edition
Tbh I've never played it so not sure of the comparison. Seems like a good well set out ruleset but complicated and large
