You had me until i read the damm price. Like are you kidding me. I feel threatened and insulted like i should start a war right now $250k for 320 sqft. Really just shoot me already because i dont see it. It must be sitting on 5 acres thats why it cost so much please make it make sense
I hope it includes the land it’s sitting on because otherwise it’s ridiculously priced. Most of the original features were taken out. That lowers the value in my book.
@@juliesamie9225 I talked to vintage trailer restorer in my area and he thinks Spartan used birch plywood panels for the ceiling in original mobile homes and trailers. If you're sure yours is 'fiberglass' then they were replaced at some point, and there are some asbestos online testing labs that can verify for you. They have instructions on how to take a small sample to send them. The cost for the test is usually around $50.
@@joebanks3698 mine is new moon 10x50 i think 1959 and it is a wood fiber like material or insulation board as some call it with smooth painted surface and insulation fiberglass behind the ceiling panel
@Julie Daniel Hiya Julie- Well, if you don't plan on grinding any of those materials to dust and either breathing in the dust, or eating the shavings... You'll be just fine. If the surface has been compromised, it's possible to seal it again using 'high build' primer and then a coat of paint. Cheers!
I SEE the iconic half-circle kitchen has been eliminated for the purpose of modernization. I MIGHT understand if they those cabinets were not refurbishable. But that kitchen MADE that particular Imobile home and it could have been done. Without it, it's just another updated trailer.... IMO

That was certainly not what I expected! Wow!! I love it. Mid century modern meets modern!

Anyone know if asbestos would be in 50s and 60s mobile home ceilings
Spartan used mineral wool for insulation, however, if a trailer still has the original 9x9 floor tiles they most likely contain asbestos.
@@joebanks3698i mean the actual ceiling material as mine has some kind of painted fiberboard material

Hello, is there land included with the price?
Exactly what im saying its ludicrous

The semi circle kitchen is in a Spartan Carousel model. This is a Spartan Imperial Mansion. Different floor plan.
I was hoping to step back in time and found the modernization disappointing. Why get a vintage trailer…to destroy it?
The color is HIDEOUS! Love the inside however.
