- This was our first time visiting Cádiz and we went ashore independently. During the evening we also experienced the specialty restaurant the Crown Grill! These are some of the highlights from Day 9 and the wonderful port of Cádiz, Spain.
We took a cruise on Sky Princess in April 2022 out of Southampton during the Easter Holidays. The ship had an occupancy of 3,171 during the voyage and we expected it to be busy as this was during the UK school holidays. During this cruise we visited France, Portugal, Spain and Gibraltar over 14 nights.

We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.
We have created a list of our cruise essentials. These are items we take with us when we travel and we hope they may be useful to you. We have also added a Wine list which contains some of the wines we have tried whilst cruising.

Many of us have taken a 7-day or less cruise but I rarely see vlogs of 14+ day cruises. As you build-out your TH-cam site content, it may be nice to see/understand (tips/tricks) for planning for a 2-week+ cruise. From a distance, it is clear you carried enough clothes and items for every possible occasion. In addition, one could say your holiday did not cater to the 'Spaghetti and Chips Brigade' (credit goes to Hyancinth Bouquet) 😎. You make travel look very easygoing and relaxed which we all aspire to accomplish.
Hi Chris thanks for your question. You are not the first to ask this and we will look at putting something together to share on TH-cam. Cruising for 14 nights is a definitely a struggle when packing and planning out what’s going to be worn. We are fortunate that we sailed from Southampton, and as we are from the UK, could bring as much luggage as we thought was needed. We did pack too much but it is all a learning curve. 😄 We try to share as much of our experiences on board as possible although we do prefer eating in the Mdr as much as possible. Thank you! 😆
We could all do with a smart-looking heart-patterned shirt. Is it a Marks & Spencer or John Lewis purchase? I have seen many use the medallion app to order from Crown Grill from one of the bars and have their meals delivered to them directly any time of the day. Great Day 9 video.

Our last visit to Cadiz we went on a tour to Jerez so saw nothing of Cadiz, we will be on Sky next July in Cadiz and plan to spend the day there found your tour of it really helpful of what to visit. How long would you say it takes to walk to the beach from the ship as we want to spend some time there as well as the main part of Cadiz. Have enjoyed all your vlogs found them very interesting.
Thank you so much we are pleased you found the VLOGs helpful. Cadiz is beautiful and from the ship to the beach takes around 30 minutes at a leisurely pace. We would recommend that you follow the coast rather than walk through town. The streets are all very similar and it’s really easy to take a wrong turn as we did on many occasions 😃.
Can't believe neither of you thought to recreate the Bond scene. Next time?
