    Don't have any ToughBuilt hand tools, and to be honest, I don't see a lot of other trades using them over here. I do have a couple of their pouches and am happy with those. Interesting design of the auto screwdriver, wonder how susceptible it will be to dirt ingress.

      I’m curious on the longevity of it myself. It doesn’t look to me like a “jobsite” screwdriver. Not sure how many drops/etc it will take.
      Good screwdriver for a Kitchen Drawer would be my recommendation for it… and at $5

      I think that is more because they've had a stop in production on hand tools for a while now. Getting their tools is very hard to do because of the limited supply. The hand tools I have are all extremely heavy duty built and work great!

    The demo driver looks alot like milwaukee's previous handle style hvac demo driver. The new all red handle version doesnt have the sheet metal notch.

    I saw these yesterday at my Lowe’s in Virginia but they weren’t that low. I would have bought them for that price.. might try to price match the demo driver. I’ve been looking at the Milwaukee version. Nice quick info video. Thanks. 🤓

    Hell of a deal, cheaper than a meal at Wendy's.
    I could see that auto-loading screwdriver being useful for working on automotive and keeping bits from getting oily/greasy because you don't have to touch them.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Fast food has gotten crazy… I used to be able to eat at Wendy’s for like $3
      Good thinking on the not having to touch them with slippery fingers. Didn’t even think about that. I’m not sure how durable it will be (I don’t have Toughbuilt tool experience to go by)… but for $5 it intrigued me.

    I still have two multi-bit Craftsman screwdrivers with that kind of bit changing system. I like the concentric one best, and it's actually quite handy, though I typically just use it around the house because it's not a locking bit holder.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Nice, I like both of those. I'm going to hit a nearby Lowe's this weekend for some Klein tools, but will check for these too. The big handle should allow you to apply a lot more torque for tough screws.
    Depending on how much I spend, I may grab the M12 Installation Driver as well. I may just need to get more used to it, but the Surge was starting to strip out some hex screws I used building a desk last weekend.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It has some settings on it for speeds to slow it down until you get used to it, but yeah impacts on wood screws (especially small ones) aren’t always a good fit unless you have used one a lot. I see people use them on the little door hinge screws all the time.. one turn too many and it’s stripped.

    It’s definitely very similar to the Milwaukee sheet metal beater. Already have the Milwaukee and it does an excellent job on sheet metal, can’t beat it for 5$, or can you?

  • @MattHmm-rq6dn

    I have used many toughbuilt products but I can buy a milwaukee demo driver for cheaper than that or my wera all black for not much more than that msrp. The knee pads were OK the expensive 60 ones but saw horses are their Forte. The c700 goes really tall or short for paint or cutting stations as I'm 6'5 I'll talked taller any day. The plywood and 2x4 holding feature off 1 saw horses is very useful. There are a few companies that oem the same for the saw horses but there generally more money. I've been dying to try that 5 on 1 electrician utilty knife but never in stock and can't order it online at lowes... so I have to wait for a restock
    Tldr
    Gimmick stuff mostly miss
    Saw horses A+ material
    All depends on what price point you can get the stuff that cheap never hurts to have a chiseldriver

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I wouldn’t have bought either of they weren’t 5 bucks… but I’ll take a beater screwdriver for that and curiosity made me buy the other.

    • @MattHmm-rq6dn
      @MattHmm-rq6dn 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't recommend any of the saw horses less than the c700 the other models cut features or change a mechanism for thr worse... buy once cry once as I got the ones on a lowes bf years ago because they were cheaper but was disappointed in the end.

    I own it, and it's garbage long-term, IMHO. Bits have gotten stuck, and now I can't get it to retract any bits correctly. Have all bits ejected now and use the old-fashioned way.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance

    Demolition screw driver - is it only me seeing some contradiction here?
    Auto-loading one looks good.
    I have the second pair of heavy duty knee-pads from TB. They're ok, but less durable than I expected. And for $73 US there's no comparable competition.

    From what I’ve seen and bought, Toughbuilt tools and tool bags/pouches are bulky and heavy. I bought a Toughbuilt tool tote and that thing was heavy even without the tools, with the tools it was cumbersome. So far, it’s not a brand that I’m a fan of.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      They aren’t bad tools for the price (some of them)… but I agree on the bulky. I like all the functions of some of their knives, but they are all huge… this screwdriver handle is the biggest yet 😂
      They are a budget friendly brand. That’s my take so far anyway.
