Since a Triumph uses all the zones in a Region, would the 2 zone regions be a good spot for them? I would think a 5 zone region would be a terrible sacrifice.
Can say you can get a one zone region. And low zone regions are great for your Triumphs. Low yeild regions are good for your non-harvesting improvements.
Can you make a guide on buildings, What to build and where... should I build eg. 2 workshops in 1 region, or 3 weavers in 1 region... what is the optimal buffs you get for crafting systems? I already know about the farms + granery/water well/grocer. But are there more? Should I have a "science" region where I have a library, school, university etc?
Beside the farms with grocer/well/granary (though I don't have a strategy for that, is granary worth it in regions under 5? I think an extra farm will get you more). 1) University + School + any other Science / Military buildings (Univs and Schools will get more research). 2) Inn/pub + all other commerce (dwelling, mint, racetrack, central bank, trading post/bazaar) or culture buildings, the pub will get +1 gold for each one. 3) one-type crafters that reinforce each other + mill 4) when building a crafter region, place a workshop first to expedite construction, demolish later. 5) improvements that don't give/get much adjacency bonuses get stacked in one region. 6) build sawmills in a crafting city to boost city craft production with specialists 7) monastery + buildings with masterpiece slots Also, beware, some upgrades change a building's type. Weavers are culture, but Tailors are production, Apothecaries are Science, but Chemists are also production. Sometimes you don't want to upgrade. E.g., a tailor puts out the same base production, only with a greater range of products. If your weavers already produce the clothes you need, they can stay as is (I got them coupled with a monastery to produce textile masterpieces).
So much potential for this game with just a few QoL and UI tweaks. This video made me think it'd be nice if you could rename individual regions and not just cities so that you could quickly keep track of what's happening there or what is planned for it. A tack system like Civ 6 to preplan placements would also be nice, but I guess if you just use the build queue a lot it is basically the same thing. You're less likely to change your mind on what goes in a spot in Ara than in Civ.
Must be very rear i have multiple playthrough and never had that look, then again I also only had 1-2 times the chance to see a 1 zone. But they do exist :)
@@moleundermanagement havent seen a 1-zoner yet, but my 2nd 6-zoner. maybe it rolls a D1000 when creating regions. A 1000 creates a 6-zoner and rolling a 1 creates a 1-zoner
Like some others i think there is a use for the 2 tile zones in different situations. You provided a bit of misinformation on the windmill. Yes it is 10% to your other blacksmiths but that is like adding 0.4 black smiths to the area as to where if you added another blacksmith it would be like much greater like 2.25 black smiths. If you have no where else to put the windmill sure.
I love the 1 Tile zones for Wonders. I would definitely change my Views a bit now that I have a few 100ths of Hours more game time. So maybe i will do that at some point :)
Well, that explains a lot of my initial struggles! :-P Now I need to get to understand the whole crafting and upgrading thing, that got me a bit overwhelmed last night.
it depends on what resources you have around you and what you want to get if you're surrounded by water then you want to get boats if you have horses then chariots

just thought the same, just claimed a 2zone-region to later build the triumph for the act goal
That’s what I’ve been doin
Yep. Also it is rare but there can also be 1 zone regions.
Yep. Low yield regions are also the place to build crafters and such.
Can confirm the range of zones is 1-6.
Yup, got a 6-zone region on my last game
Once I had a zone with 0 regions. But it was possible to build a Triumph there, which I did.

You are right on that one i finally had a one zone region this week (after 3 weeks of playtime lol)!

That is interesting 🤔 and funny enough something which was going through my mind, because I have been experimenting with it as of late

I like the tack idea but it took a long time before Civ added it.
Highest is 6 regions just fyi! Doesn't come up often but they're there!
Have seen a Region with 6 zones

@@matzerotti That does sound very reasonable
Very helpfull thx
Glad it helped

I definitely got left behind on my first run 😂
what to research first?
it depends on what resources you have around you and what you want to get
if you're surrounded by water then you want to get boats
if you have horses then chariots
ALWAYS you should research Ropemaking firstly to take Stonehenge. Otherwise the other AI-s will steal it.
Looks like interesting game but the player may become overwhelmed with so much data!
It's like anno 1800/satisfactory where when you start you have almost nothing to do and it adds up over time
