- A quick way of creating the popular oil/rainbow material effect for all your glass objects. This was done using Vray but the same concept will work 100% with any other render engine within 3D Studio Max.
Where were you all my life?!? :O :O :O
I could totally binge watch all your videos.
Subbed and belled
Very interesting approach! There is also a plugin called Thin Film, which produces similar results ;)
please make a tutorial on how to make the realistic taillights on
Thanks a lot! 🙏
Would love to see your workflow on using an exterior HDRI and backplate, the free ones from 'Duron Automotive' are pretty amazing! Keep up the great work!
I def plan on it, going to shoot an hdri/backplate set sometime this week and offer it as a free asset for the tutorials.
@@AutomotiveCGI Incredible! looking forward to seeing that, thanks again for time and effort spent on these
How did you bring back the old V-Ray material preview?
Go to Render Settings, Settings, and check "Native 3ds max material swatches"
ouuu can make a polarized effect on the headlights!!!
Happen to have a link to a reference of what it looks like?
@@AutomotiveCGI similar to the window rainbow effect your showing in the video. instagram.com/p/B7ZBfQfFfSL/?. It’s a common effect when using a polarizer lens filter on a camera.
@@Benspective Ohh yeah this is 100% same way I do my headlights, usually use same material haha.
