- The Hidden Dangers of Digital Hoarding | Vantage With Palki Sharma
Digital hoarding is a lot like hoarding physical objects. It refers to the accumulation of digital files coupled with the reluctance to discard. In the digital age, billions of unnecessary emails, photos, and files remain stored, never to be touched again. And this comes with a number of downsides. Palki Sharma tells you more.

I lately started thinking about this issue. The main reason is because digital clutter doesn't occupy physical space we are unaware of its existence.
Many people buy a new phone, complaining about its performance, not knowing that it's the digital clutter they are carrying is making their phone slow.
If they do a factory reset, they probably don't need a new phone!
Now we have data backup, apps backup even phone settings backup... carrying the clutter from one phone to other 😅
1st step, start unsubscribing unnecessary mails.... And companies should not default set to auto send mails....
True
Palaki and team always come with best topics to talk about
Without memories what we are
Our mind can't stop collecting
I am always 1 gb away from storage full , I have to constantly delete something to have full function...
Excellent narrative in digital hoarding, I will have to correct myself first, First Post alerted how indirectly it affects
Very insightful and we keep taking about ESG
That’s so funny. I was just thinking how I was when I scroll down and there this is.
I don't hoard anything but memes.i have around 200 gigs of memes on my PC 🤣
Thank you Palki what you mentioned is true & didn't realize that we are contributing to climate change too.Thank for make us aware of Digital Hoarding 🙏
Omg! This is timely!
Pleasant reminder of keeping everything minimalistic. Or get the storage full emails untio you won't even have space to receive those😅
I know a guy who was storing his data from the 1995 or something, and he as a external 14TB HDD almost full! and it's very disorganized,
I had that problem. I used to download a lot of films and never delete them. It was the time when ppl used to share pirated movies through pendrives. I had two laptops full of movies to the last GB space.
What I did was I made a list of all the movies I saw and then deleted everything. Now I am at peace. ☮ ❤
@@dawn_alex Lucky for you, you didn't figure out the idea of external HDDs
Very good topic ❤🎉
My sister is like this.
Cloud storage should not be free..
The best news channel of the world.... FIRST POST❤
Read 📚, most of you evenwith data aren't that bright.😊
I hoard digital books and cry everytime my external disk fails. Has happened thrice till now.
People are taking more pictures now than ever before, billions of them, but there are no slides, no prints. Just data. Electronic dust. Years from now when they dig us up there won't be any pictures to find, no record of who we were or how we lived. - Kodachrome (2018)
Informative.love you Palki
Enlightening
Namaste Palki ji , really enjoy the content you guys bring to us , very grateful for the same ,
Also mam it would be great to watch more videos on carbon footprints and wine investing
Amazing perspective towards everything as always❤….few days back only I deleted almost 3k emails just to clear my inbox with unnecessarily emails taking space…thanks for a reminder…I will delete the unnecessary pictures too. That’s why somewhere I am still a fan of standard phone❤these smart techs are making us dumb🤣
This is also a new kind of pollution, we can call it as "Digital Pollution..."
unread mails = 0.
Thanks to my OCD
DW Hindi also did a good short news clip story on digital carbon footprint 😁.
What?? I never knew about this that some photos can cause co2 emission and data theft
Azing video
Can you please make a news on 3rd party jobs. Because of this kind of jobs many people get very low salary and high work load
Wow it's me
Secure important documents and just delete everything
So that is why Palki deletes others' comments in wholesale fashion when they logically contravene her scripted narratives !
@@bhavendrajyoti1655Your comment is still here so you proved yourself wrong by making this comment. Kudos, you proved yourself how filthy some humans can be by spreading misinformation
Ok ma'am, im about to take time now and clean my phone's digital room 🧹🧹🧹♻️ 🗑️🗑️
Get rid of cars! I rather keep data centers than cars.
Am I the only one who has a mailbox with no unread emails? 😂
I have a total of about 20 thousand mails, I have read each one of it. Like seriously read them all.
