Amid homeless crisis, stretch of LA County has become an RV wasteland

Everybody in California are complaining of this intolerable situation. And yet, they kept electing the same ineffective people.
VOTES ARE RIGGED
thats why you should support Nalezor-Roloism, my friend.
The elections are rigged...
At 52 years old I’ve learned one universal truth…. Homelessness is not getting better & it never will.
It’s a business now. All this money being thrown at it yet it only worsens.
I was in Indonesia and I saw homeless. Third worldism has finally come to USA.
When you reward people for an activity, you get more of it, regardless of the claims of hoping to reduce it.
@@currentbatches6205I'm sure those high Cali taxes, rent and prices have a lot to do with it...

That politician is getting a kick back from the gangs running the RV rents.
not how it works, but they are getting rich regardless. why solve he problem if they problem keeps generating votes an money your way? the problem won't go away until criminals literally start killing democrats. i really don't see any other way.
If you can get that information on paper, you can expose the politician.
Proof or just BS accusations
When the first RV parked there was the time to act. Much harder problem to solve now....
Exactly, it is what it is now. Same w/ the open borders, now immigrants will be all over NY & soon Central park. This country has a huge stain & its only going to get worse. I know the country was built on immigrants but we can't handle the floods.
I'm sick of hearing these council members and "supervisors" lame excuses. This has been going on too long to believe your lies. Rest assured if this was happening outside your residence this cleanup would have happened a long time ago. Take action now!
Thanks Gavin.

@@andrebailey6676 Right.
Its funny that peoples cars get towed for parking at a fire hydrant or for a couple of unpaid parking tickets, but these RV's get a pass. Also, since when does the city have to notify an owner that their vehicle will be towed.
The fact that homeless RVs are not towed shows it's all deliberate.
Gavin Newsom is laughing as he rolls around in money.
And Karen Bass. She hired her black female friend to be the "Czar of Homelessness" and has a base salary of $240,000. They have created another trough to feed from filled with our taxes.
Cyborgs can't laugh
He said they are trying to survive? Get a damn job and stop asking for handouts
Getting to the point where I think local residents need to take things into their own hands.
I agree, them in the RV's should do that, and move in with selfish homeowners and renters who won't share.
So what do you have in mind?
@@vuho2075 Imprisoning greedy landlords, striping home owners of their properties, as they're to selfish to share, and separating all property in to liveable spaces. No, lazy millennials and gen Z think they deserve more money for doing little at their jobs.
How many multi million dollar homes or just million dollar condos are sitting out there empty owned by investors? There is your problem. Investors are taking all the inventory away from real people needing real homes and driving up the prices because they rent them short term or because they’re so damn rich, they just let them sit until they want to use them.

The future: everyone living in cars while houses, apartments and lots remain empty as investors speculate housing market.
Mostly the Chinese who are buying it all up.
mostly accurate, but those apartments are empty not because of investors, but because the state extortion fees have priced everyone out from owning, and no one wants to rent because the state is anti landlords. also, all land will be bought out by foreign entities with inflated resale prices.
People in Palo Alto are living in tiny houses that’s how you know it’s bad
The prices go up due to supply and demand in California cannot build enough housing due to all unrealistic regulations the government has imposed it makes it almost impossible to do new building
I've been watching the housing market as I want to buy one. I can afford a lot of them but they aren't worth those ridiculous prices, so I'm waiting. Lots of other people, like me are also waiting. Many people who own these houses are waiting because they want to sell for as high as possible(understandable) but it's a waiting game to see who cracks first and it won't be the buyers, it will be the sellers because they are losing money paying for repairs on those houses as well as property taxes. The market is about to crash in the favor of buyers... Air bnbs are also failing. I'm waiting for the air bnb stock market to crash. The housing market has just gotten too greedy. Air bnb deserves to be set on fire and burned down... Can't wait for it to crash... I've met many air bnb owners... They just wanna keep their extra houses they don't even use and it's just greedy in my opinion. Who needs three or more houses? Even two is unnecessary... Anyways, just wait. The end is near.

Welcome to LA
it's strange to see a superpower fall in realtime
Look back at California in the 50, 60s compared with today. WOW.
Those people. Ugh.
I get your circumstances....But the hoarding is absolutely, uncalled for!! I cut my losses when I was homeless, yet never did I once think about hoarding shit on public side walks....The area I stayed in the neighbors were kind and understood my situation, I kept my area clean! I also lookout for the neighborhood as well...
These homeless program directors are full shit and the social workers are garbage, CA should have this issue tamed by now...They don't audit the spending and line there pockets!! If your homeless and sane or have a job....they are in no way in any hurry to get you help...They prefer the non productive junkies to keep repeating the cycle....it keeps the money coming and them employed 🤷🏿....The only thing they focus on legally is taking their Cars or RVs....they tried to take mine by writing bogus tickets like staying parked 72 hours when I moved my car everyday....tickets add up and if you can't pay them which most homeless can't they take your driver's license and ultimately your car!!! That's apart of this whole government made crisis they keep low key...80% of the folks I knew in the streets started living in there car....Once they took that, tents became normal....Once they take the RVs the trash will accumulate!! And road will fill with tents....😂.....they are only hiding the problem to hide the situation to earn votes!!! Migrants are walking across the US border left and right and receiving assistance, yet every year the same bullshit public address is " Things are moving fast enough, but progress is being made"
Make it make sense....
I'm surprised that it took you guys _THIS_ long to finally report on the RVs being parked on Broadway, Main Street, Compton Blvd, and Redondo Beach Blvd. I've seen this issue grew exponentially since - I want to say - 2017.
Heck, there was a bus line that was a pilot program that last for 10 years [Line 214]. Now, it's like just a problem that I just grew numb about it, even when I drove there in heading to Division 18 in Gardena.
LA has TONS of places they would move thos people to and clean it up to create affordable RV lots. But they would rather create DISASTERS they can raise money on and steal it all for themselves
I'm surprised you're all bitching and complaining about it when companies and employers make excuses not to hire and help those people financially to get back on their feet. Seems like you're all a bunch of sensitive pussies bitching about it.
I'd like to see or read a story where the reporters goes around the encampment and interviews residents about their origins, drug or alcohol problem and their plans for the future. I've read snippets here and there and it says some of these residents travel to California from other states because the state will provide medicare and the resident can continue with their drug habit. It would be interesting to know what kind of people they were before they hit the skids.
The boy with the backward baseball cap told their story she said she has a place to go but she's too tweaked out on meth so she just stays there she said her addiction got the best of her so there you have it that's her story
Uh... Thanks? I guess.
All victims and taxpayers should support their drug needs

Bulldozers would be a good start!
I just drove through this RV ALLEY a few nights ago and it is like something out of a horror movie. Why it is being allowed to proliferate is unfathomable, and there are similar RV encampments like this throughout Los Angeles.
I was homeless here by LAX in 85-86, you wouldn't dream of setting up a tent on a sidewalk. Somewhere along the lines they let a few do it & now you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube!
People are poor that’s why
Because humans are mentally insane and are indoctrinated in to a fiat system of hoarding the most. If humans shared there would not be need for other humans to live in these RV's yet when Megalomaniacs are idolized for their greed. We are going to see scenes like this unfold everywhere. Eventually it will become violent and the supressed will become the suppressors. It's the law of the wild.
