@@Paiadakine Thats because you are responsible and play by the rules. These assholes have nothing, so they have nothing to loose. They should be rounded up and put in a fenced encampment in the desert. The billions of dollars being put into the "homeless" problem is a joke. Lot's of people getting rich on that one. @@midlifemotox I just read Calif allocated $10B for the homeless problem these last three years. Not sure how much was state and how much was fed money but it’s all taxes we paid. I sure can’t see where that money went. What a waste.

@@Paiadakine I'm going to do the math. What is the homeless population vs how many Billions of dollars are being spent. You could probably make each homeless person a millionaire at this rate. If you made a dollar a second,, it takes 12 days to make a million. To make a billion it takes 32 years. People don't conceive how much money that actually is. I drive down the streets in Burbank and it's all good. As soon as I cross into North Hollywood, it like the zombie land. Los Angeles county politicians are useless... There's no electricity or running water. It's dark and cold at night. I work. I'm not on drugs. I'm not mentally ill. I've just have a lot of bad luck and debt and car problems since covid. I recently tried getting a janitorial job to get back onto my feet, but then I got fired over too many homelessness related problems, ironically. Now I'm back to doing Uber/Lyft/Instacart until my car breaks again. Passengers with luggage hate getting me as their driver. My car is filled with important personal belongings that I can't keep in the RV because they aren't safe there. I don't know what I'm going to do once my car breaks again. The car is a lemon. I already put my dad over $3k into debt for the last transmission rebuild. In addition to over a year's worth in missed car payments, since I fell into homelessness. He can't help me again. I haven't even paid him back for last time yet. I just feel like giving up on society and turning to crime. Why do I even bother anymore? Nobody cares anyway. There are plenty of abandoned malls, buildings, etc that can be converted to solve a lot of this homelessness instead of rotting and becoming an eyesore but it costs money, the politicians have no problems throwing 100s of millions around or sending Billions overseas they just WONT spend it helping their own country first

The folks in SoCal just don't get it, they can't see the forest for the trees. Every effort made to " help " the homeless only serves to promote homelessness. Sure, it's a tough fact to acknowledge, but subsidizing that behavior does nothing to discourage it.
This problem didn't occur overnight, and the various " programs " laid out by City, County, and State officials have only made things worse.
Isn't it time to consider a change of approach?

I've spoken with cops and housing program workers but nobody can seem to help. No housing is available except for shelters, which I can't do. I have cats and work late and need my privacy. What's the solution for us? I'm already doing everything I can, and I can't afford to move. Hi. I'm a van lifer. It's criminal what some rv parks are charging for a slip. It's as much as an apartment so the homeless strike out there as well. Everywhere the poor go they are priced out and penalized. If they try to save money they are penalized. If they do anything they are penalized. It's against the law not to be successful in America

I've spoken with cops and housing program workers but nobody can seem to help. No housing is available except for shelters, which I can't do. I have cats and work late and need my privacy. What's the solution for us? I'm already doing everything I can, and I can't afford to move.
