Mazda's Latest Electric Car Goes Global But There's One Problem
Mazda finally has a proper electric sedan in the near future. Too bad a US launch isn't in the cards.
Mazda is one of several Japanese automakers that has been branded a “laggard” in the electric vehicle race.
And for the past few years it has been in crisis over its largely opaque electric car plans.
The automaker, known for sporty models like the MX-5 Miata and its famous rotary engine, has little to no presence in the US electric car market.
The only two electric models it sells are the CX-70 and CX-90 plug-in hybrids. However, internationally, Mazda will soon offer the EZ-6 electric sedan.
