Great video! When milk paint doesn’t crackle or chip for me, I have found that giving it a fairly good mist of water, waiting a few moments, and then taking your heat gun or blow dryer over the area gives you a second chance at that chippy finish we love. 😊
I am so glad I found your channel! Classy, simple crafts without all the faux flowers, overdone tacky bows...FINALLY! Please keep doing these wonderful re-dos and don't change a thing!😊
“My inventory, my hoard, my stash whatever you want to call it” Inventory is what I want to call it. Thank you for giving me this term. And inventory is exactly what I will be calling it the next time my husband asks me when am I going to do something with all this stuff? Or just how much junk do you need to collect? I’m going to tell him I’m building my inventory and it is going to be part of a project when I get the rest of the inventory I need to complete the project!! 😂
YES!! Good for you!! I honestly think it brings a different energy too, and I feel differently about it! It’s how stores refer to their products right?! 🙌🏻
Girl...you CRUSHED it again!!! My favorite was the frame and watching you stretch that brown paper was so satisfying! Enjoyed your projects and your persective!
I LOVE your taste in your art projects and I love that tune...I'm a music buff & have my own TH-cam channel at that, (not monetized,) I make videos just for pleasure. I can;t wait to see what you do next, thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed your projects. I like the spritzing water tip on the paper it would help it lay flat. With milk paint I usually add more powder than it calls for like 2:3 ratio or more. (Don't be afraid just dump it in there not exact amount I just pour) I have found the thicker the paint the better the chipping. The 1:1 ratio does not do it for me, it will crack but not chip.
Thank you!! Yes, I get lots of cracking but no chipping. When you increase the ratio like that, does is just get "gloppy" or thicken up nicely once it sits? Thank you for sharing that, it makes complete sense. I was beginning to wonder if it was just me that didn't get the right consistency at 1:1...lol
@@SmallGesturesVintageCrafts You are welcome. It thickens up and in the thick areas on your project it will get chippier. Personally I'm not a fan of the 1:1 ratio.
Bonjour! Thank you for your kind words! It was fun to try and remember my high school French and read your comment without translating! 😆. I’m so glad you liked the projects and I hope you’ll come back soon! Bonne Journee
Oh my goodness, I just saw your booth location is in Gainesville, GA. I live in Athens, GA! I love your video and I just subscribed to your channel. I love IOD and I am so glad your video features them. Best wishes on your new channel! 😊
The frame is lovely. Thank you for the brown paper backing tip that’s very helpful. Good luck with your channel it’s nice to see someone from the beginning and watch them flourish 👏
Thank you to Heather from “Create you own cozy’ for pointing us in your direction. I love all your projects. I think it is interesting that you like to hang empty frames or group them together in a vignette. I will have to try that. Thank you. Your style seems to match up with what I love. I will be keeping up with your videos.
@@katiewhiston5864I’m so glad she pointed you in my direction too! Dollar Tree frames painted and attached to each other and the wall can work great! They’re lightweight and still make an impact.😊
