Man, i missed this game. I played when it was in its prime in 2008. I miss it so much. Tried again when it went to aeria games, never the same after that.
I've played this game from time to time. Still have it installed on Steam. My personal opinion is I absolutely love everything about it, it's a good representation of Eastern MMOs from that time which I love. The ONLY thing I don't like is the ancient Asia theme... It might sound like nit-picking but I just can't get into it very much. Now take the same game and change the theme to something like modern day for example, with streets and buildings, cars, etc. I would be playing it to this day!
Played this game with my older brother from like 2009 til the close. Then we tried playing again when it relaunched but I wasn’t the same. All our old friends weren’t around anymore.
While I do have fond memories of DoMO, I don’t think I’ll be playing again any time soon. Not because I don’t like the game. I still like it a lot actually, but I originally played it with the intent of playing an mmorpg with my siblings. Without them being interested in it, my motivation to play isn’t that high. Besides, we like games with higher customization and more involved gameplay anyway, especially for multiple people playing together while also being able to play solo. DoMO was a decent game when we first saw it, but now I think of it more as “that one mmorpg that you can leave on in the background sometimes. (particularly while crafting or grinding easy kills.)
This is the best mmorpg game I have ever played. The ability to create mixes between different classes and thus build a highly customized character is a feature I have never found in any other MMORPG. The learning curve for this game is not extremely fast because it is quite complex, but once the basics are learned, it becomes very enjoyable. Of course, it's been many years now, but the manga-style graphics are timeless. I highly recommend trying it and overcoming the initial hours of gameplay, which are the most challenging. Those who are not familiar with the game at first may struggle and tend to abandon it, as the learning curve of this game does not allow for an immediate understanding
this video didnt really explain shit no offense you didnt go to far into the monitization you didnt show much of the gameplay you didnt show an active community in game didnt do much of anything. if anything you showed me the game is dead while claiming it isnt. used to love this game but the playerbase doesnt seem to be there anymore
I loved this game once upon a time but it seems to have gotten worse since I played it last. The movements feel clunkier than it used to be, I can no longer play on fullscreen as I used to, I miss what it was ...it feels like it lost key parts somewhere along the line. (I had to stop playing any online games for several years because the only laptop I could afford was weak as heck, particularly the graphics card was junk) But Jade Dynasty online was another game it HURT a lot to return to - It´s not even the same game anymore! The names in some places remain but nothing else. The layout, the maps, the infrastructure, none of it! The QUESTS aren't even nearly the same, places I loved? Gone!🥲

Iirc, the durability system in this game is quite brutal. Still though, I enjoyed this game alot.

So I understand it's better than before, but would you recommend actually playing it?
If you don't mind a low player base and you don't like the newer mmos then yes
Is Domo still alive or dead? I am kinda confusion?
its still alive, and will have new update coming soon
