  • I am thrilled to share with you an exciting unboxing and review of the Paul Rubens Art watercolor set and their 100% cotton watercolor paper. This collection was gifted to me by the Paul Rubens Art Company.
    Join me as I explore the 36 vibrant colors in this set by creating a comprehensive swatch set. I'll showcase the incredible versatility of these watercolors by demonstrating two unique projects, each highlighting different color combinations and techniques that perfectly complement my abstract art style. You'll witness the exceptional performance of the Paul Rubens watercolors on their cotton watercolor paper, which provides a beautiful surface for painting and withstands the removal of art tape without tearing. I'm genuinely impressed by the quality and affordability of these supplies, making them an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced artists.
    Whether you're looking to expand your watercolor collection or are curious about the Paul Rubens brand, this video will give you valuable insights and inspiration for your own artistic endeavors. Join me on this creative journey and unleash your imagination with Paul Rubens Art supplies!

    @Denise Love. Hi Denise, just have to say thank you for your wonderful videos and your blessed personality, you never fail to brighten up my day. My sister has the following little verse pinned in the kitchen and I think of you each time I see it 😁. "Let us be lovely and let us be kind, Let us be silly and free. Thanks for this great video, Denise. I love the colours you used. I’ve used Paul Ruben’s watercolours for a while and I really like them. I’ve been binge watching your videos and I end up ordering art supplies after I watch every single one!! I love your technique and I discovered your art videos at just the right time. I needed something new to paint as I usually paint watercolour florals. I’m so excited to paint some abstracts with all of the new knowledge you’ve given me!
    Also, the lovely plates you use as palettes are tea plates. The tea cup sat where the little circle is and the rest of the plate was for finger sandwiches and petit fours. 🌸🎨🖌️

    Hi Denise, I’m fairly new to your channel and am loving what you do.
    I typically use middle water and wet on we, so have you done any tests of the paper and tape with water/paint at the edges to see if it would leak under the tapes?
    Also, do you sell your pieces? I looked at you website and socials and didn’t see any, just classes.
    Thanks and nice ‘meeting’ you.
    Anita

    • @2lilowlsstudio
      @2lilowlsstudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok! I went up and tested this out for you since I didn’t think to do that in the video… painted with water to the edges… added plenty of paint in there… waited for it all to dry… and pealed the tape and it actually did good. I did not have paint seepage! I’m pretty happy with how that worked out! 😊
      I do not sell art. I’m in my 11th year of having a creative business… most of it in creative photography… and have had things up for sale for years on that with very little sales. So I kinda think after all the artists and photographers I know… selling art doesn’t really make you a living like I have found the digital products, classes and workshops. And selling art is a full time effort by itself… so with everything I already do… I just don’t care to spend any extra time I have trying to sell art. My goal is to make classes and workshops for art and photography. So that’s what you found when you looked. 😊

    just wondering; can you reuse the tape?

    • @2lilowlsstudio

      Sure! I do sometimes. Not usually when I’m filming… but when I’m not filming I take the time to preserve it sometimes.

    Hi Denise, what salt do you use by the way fine salt or like sea salt

    • @2lilowlsstudio

      The salt I keep on my table is like a rock salt. I had it in my kitchen and grabbed it for a project and it never went back to the kitchen. 😁

    • @2lilowlsstudio
      @2lilowlsstudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shelleyhunt8207 I tape things down and some papers buckle less than others… and they flatten as they dry. I just don’t worry about it. The only one I’ve decided I don’t like is the Khadi Indian paper I have used in a few videos. It really buckles. You could use watercolor blocks to get less buckling too.

    I’m curious. I’ve been painting since high school. Less so until recently. Now that I’m getting into it again I want to invest. I really love the translucent nature of Paul Rueben paints and I know the tubes would last a long time. My monthly budget is limited but I think I will spring for the artist grade set of 36.
    I’m curious about subscription boxes. I’ve have indulged in a few over the last two years but was overwhelming disappointed. It seemed like what was sent was repetitive or (what they could pull off a shelf), so I discontinued getting them. I’m curious, any recommendations on subscriptions you prefer?
    Also, I did indulge in the Peerless liquid water colors this month. I couldn’t resist after one of your videos.

      I’ve been getting sketchbox longest and it is my favorite. I started getting ARTSNACKS and paletteful last month. I don’t love all the boxes I get… but I love getting random supplies each month to play with. I did some comparison videos in the art haul section on my page if you want to get a look at what I’ve gotten over the past couple of months. I think you’ll love these Paul Ruben paints. I was really impressed and loved how they worked on these projects. 😊

      Your dishes were actually snack plates for showers, parties. A slice of cake and a place to sit your tea cup. Those are cool bc they are usually seen in pressed glass. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in porcelain! Very cool!
