      😬 I sold the xD! But I am pretty sure I can borrow one from my friend and explore it!

    One of my favorite things about the XD has been the use oscillators and effects out there, I'd love to work out how to code some myself but i have no idea where to start lol

      Same! If I knew how to code and write stuff I would be making this for this all day! I think the Drumlogue also has some user stuff. I’d love to explore that one day too.

    The ME being a custom synth plugin but on HW is the best thing of the XD,
    I also like that you can make only the ME skips the LFO, so if the ME has its own LFO, you can then have two different audio routing

      Exactly! I had the prologue and everyone always complained about its lack of modulation. ME PLUS bi-timbral would essentially give you 6 oscillators (maybe more depending on the user osc) and 4 LFOs. They are exceptional synths and I know I’ll own another one some day.

      @@toskabyss Prologue 16 is so tempting, for actually playing the keyboard it can make your room trembles, its basically 4 XDs in one synth, and you can port user stuff you bought or have. Altho if you use a DAW you can basically layers the XD as you wish so the Prologue becomes less useful, but for keyboard skills, Prologue is def the one to go, 32 lush VCOs and a total of 48 Osc with the ME

      @@benox50 I've own the prologue 8 and two of the 16s. They are the best hands down. Nicest synths I've owned!

    Does node work like digitone with four ops but also the subtractive elements of minilogue

    • @CoffinNachtmahr
      @CoffinNachtmahr 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cause I think that's where a strength of digitone lives it's root is FM and then it's fed into subtractive synthesis and fx

    • @toskabyss
      @toskabyss  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't learned about the digitone but yes you are correct it is FM in the front and then subtractive as it moves through the signal path. Its really simple and genius.

    • @benox50
      @benox50 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea it then goes through the filter and all the subtractive elements, then finish with FX, whats really cool is thats only the digital Osc,
      you still have the two VCOs you can layer with

    Is there a way to make a 64 step sequencer pattern ? on this synth ...if not that's a major flaw in the design of the minilogue XD

    • @toskabyss
      @toskabyss  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately it is just 16 steps. But you can change the time divisions which will slow the beats per measure down. It is also a polyphonic sequencer. You can use the motion sequencer lanes to change the voice mode on each step which allows you to select the arp for steps. Sort of clunky but you can make some really unique sequences that go beyond a typical 16 step sequencer.

      For example this synth sequence here in this track is using the 16 step sequencer th-cam.com/users/shortsJac7VECL2bQ?si=nrADjHkOzQpsly8O
