My dearest mom who was from a village in Macedonia called Smurdesh made burek also and was so delicious. My favorite was PRAZ (leek) pita. Spend as much time with your mother and enjoy her as much as possible. I miss my mom so much and wish I could have learned more from her. Your mom is wonderful and learn about cooking and everything from her.
