    Just the review I was looking for! I really like the stock tires on my T7 for long highway cruises, but on gravel they are not the best. Last year I mounted some E07+ on my KLR and really struggled getting them mounted. That was until I discovered the use of big zip ties for compressing the tire and keeping it centered in the rim while spooning the tire on. Makes it simple and easy. Now I always carry a packet of large zip ties in my tire repair kit.

    Mitas E07 + rear and a Conti-TKC-80 front is my fav combo ive run on my 1090r over 30,000miles , and when my T7 comes in after the stockers wear ill be fitting em on it too

    I’ve had two sets of eo7’s on my 650 Transalp and I’ve spent two weeks doing the French / Swiss / Spanish TET with them and they are great. Not so great in the mud but a good all round tyre 👍🏻

    Love the EO7+, was considering the Dunlop Trailmax Missions but decided to stick with these now that first set nearing replacement. Don't tolerate riding on tar with folks that overtake on the left, couldn't help noticing, pet peeve. :-)

    16000kms of spirited riding on my 1200gsa with these tyres, front tyre still decent, rear has about 3mm of grove left. Can say these tyres have never failed to deliver.

    My mechanic hated every single moment of fitting in these tires, it was completely worth it for me though 😆

    Mounted E07s on my triumph 900 rally pro for the TAT found I had difficulty holding air, back tire finally held air front tire still hasn't. On road both tires performed well dry or wet off road rear tire seemed to hook up well but front tire kept washing out. All in all if your riding mostly on road with light off road the E07s are a great tire but stay out of the mud unless you like picking your bike alot.

      Interesting findings there. I know theres a tubed and tubless version, are you sure you got the correct variant?

    MotoNZ Have not seen you reply in a while. I put them on my tiger 850 today. Vibration in the brake pedal under 29mph until 17mph. Had just the back rebalance today and took 76 grams of weight! mechanic said bad tire, or too heavy. Did you experience this at all? Or is it maybe getting used to the 50-50 tread pattern? I am in a pickle..thanks Dan

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can’t say I noticed any vibration except for below 15kph and this is because of the tread pattern on tarmac. If they’re mounted properly and balanced they should be fine. Also bare in mind they’re a much stiffer tyre by design, so any bumps in the road surface will be more noticeable.

    I’m thinking about ordering these, how have they been long-term with grip and longevity?

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've had the E07+ front on the bike for close to 20,000km and it's still going strong, maybe another 5000 km left in it.
      the rear would likely have lasted me around 10,000km, but it got taken off the bike due to a puncture and ive not put it back on yet.

    The linkage grease is in the needle bearing behind the bush....not on the bolt. You didn't grease the linkage.

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your message, we did grease the whole lot, even if it appears we only greased the bolts.

    How does T7 compares to Triumph? Thinking about getting new T7 or just save some money and get 800xc or 800gs.

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've not ridden the 800xcx, but it's a great bike.
      Almost identical to the T7 in fuel economy on long road trips, however, the T7 had the edge when you get off-road, the Tiger still feels like a road bike, where the T7 is more nimble and easier to manage in the loose stuff.
