Great video and so much to comment on. I just got back from the bank with $10 worth of pennies. I put this video on and opened up the bag and every roll was brand new bankroll. Now I remember recently looking at one of your videos and you saying something about 2023 VDB penny so if these rolls are 2023. I might open them up and take a look at them. My mother used to put all kind of coins in medicine bottles. She had a bunch of them. Now that I think about it that should’ve been somewhat concerning 🤔. Getting brushed, sitting outside by the fire. That guy’s got the life😺. Could you imagine finding a gold coin in the mix!? I checked a 1/10 ounce gold Eagle and a 2 1/2 peso and they’re smaller than a dime. I can’t imagine someone confusing them, but you never know. And good old Rat Fink brings back memories!! I have a cousin in poor health (living with me at the moment) and I've been going through some of his stuff to try to get his old place sold, and I found a bunch of prescription bottles with coins in them. Some with just dimes, or nickels, or pennies, he said there was a bigger one with just quarters, but I never found that one... Hmmm, maybe somebody else did.
thursday i picked up 68 customer wrapped rolls from the bank..they taped all the endes with masking tape..friday i opended the 1st 10 rolls..the worst roll out of the 10 so far was 37 coppers...the best was 50 in one roll...out of the 10 rolls were only 2 wheat backs..i went back to the back and asked if there were nickels dimes and quarters with masking tape on the ends..i got 50 rolls of nickels 50 rolls of quarters and 250 dollars in dimes...nothing nada nill..one 1947 canada dime..only about a 1/3rd thru each and 58 more roll of pennies..so far pennies look l;ike the wimnners...BTW..I GOT SOME STRIKE THRUS..BROCKAGE ON A DIME...ANDY
Hello Andy, that's a great copper score, too bad with the other coins. One time I got about 15 rolls that were all. Copper, but more often I get rolls with little or no copper
I know what you're saying about looking for the last year and how long they've been rolled. I just recently got 5 bucks worth, and when i saw the crusty tape over the ends, i got excited. lol so far, 2008 is the last year. I usually separate them by years after i look at them closer, so I don't have a weight on just the copper. It's been nice not having the shields in there. Not a fan.
2008, still a lot of copper out there at that time. I agree about the shields. I showed In a video that there was a toy nickel years ago with pretty much that same shield design
I have only been doing this for about two months and I’m starting to think that one will need a lot of different banks how many boxes of pennies can you expect to get from one bank without being obnoxious? I’m hooked!
I think if they have good tellers you could easily ask to get 2 a week just as a standard order. I have one branch that I get 2 boxes of halves and a box of pennies every week, and they would get me more if I asked.

Check your "Today's Copper" box again. I am pretty sure I can see several shield cents in that box.

I just put Canadian zinc back in rolls with other zinc and roll up Canadian copper separately.
